He said they likely can handle it, but would start with a complimentary second opinion. After their inspection, they determined that the hose does not need to be replaced and we only needed to refresh the refrigerant, which they do have the equipment for. In addition, the reason the other shop might have suggested the hose replacement was because of a leak related to the axel. All in, the repairs would be substantially less than the dealer quote for work that may not have been needed in the first place. Overall, great experience with Franklynn.

I went in for a basic oil change and car inspection. The staff was cordial, courteous, and prompt, which I really appreciated. Customer service was definitely a strong point. I was able to point out a few things myself that were initially missed, and it seemed like the technician performing the inspection may have been new, as they needed guidance from more experienced team members. Because of this, I don't feel completely confident that the inspection was as comprehensive as it should have been. I came into Service Street - Highlands Ranch for an oil change and tire rotation. I also mentioned…read morethat the display on my dashboard was showing low air in my right-front tire. The sensor was reading 28 psi. While travelling to Yellowstone National Park, this light came on, and I pulled over and checked for a nail (I didn't find any). I stopped at the nearest gas station to check the air in that tire and it was fine. I put a little more air in that tire just to be sure. The gauge read 40 psi+, the dash displayed 28 psi (and did not change). What I realized later was that I put air in a tire that did not need it and overinflated to approximately 40 psi. When I arrived back in town from our vacation, I instructed the technicians to check all the tires and have them all inflated to 35 psi (Per the manufacturer's recommendation). When I picked up my truck, the low tire pressure light was off, but now ALL the tires were reading 46-47 psi! I asked the tech about this and he said, "Yeah, when you brought it in, all of the tires were really low - the highest one had 17 psi. So, I inflated all the tires to 35 psi, as instructed." When asked why the display on my dash said 46 - 47 psi, he shrugged and said something to the effect that sometimes the sensors are off a little. I questioned why they would be "off" by 10+ psi. So, the next day, I took the truck to the Discount Tire next door and had them double-check the air pressure. Just as I suspected, ALL of the tires were OVER-INFLATED to 46 psi! As the tires were being deflated by the technician at Discount Tire, the sensor for the first tire did not match the tire being deflated. According to Google, " TPMS sensors need to be reset (relearned) on GMC trucks after a tire rotation to ensure the vehicle correctly identifies the new location of each tire. This prevents the driver information center from displaying wrong tire pressures for specific positions. The process is often called a "TPMS Relearn." This process was not done at Service Street. If a technician can't do something as simple as inflate a tire to the proper tire pressure, how can they be trusted to do something more technical? This company has lost my business. P.S. I want my money back for the other pre-paid oil changes. I'll take my business elsewhere.

Specifically, I was told that my control arms needed to be replaced at a cost of over $2,000. Skeptical of this diagnosis, I sought a second opinion from H&H Automotive. After inspecting the vehicle on a lift, they used a flashlight to show me that the control arms were in good condition and did not require replacement. Furthermore, H&H Automotive identified that my front struts needed to be replaced and discovered two oil leaks--issues that Next Auto completely failed to diagnose. Had I followed Next Auto's recommendations, I would have paid for unnecessary repairs while the actual mechanical issues remained unaddressed. This experience has left me questioning whether these actions were a result of incompetence or a deliberate attempt to mislead a returning customer (or both). I no longer feel comfortable trusting my vehicle to this establishment. Try H&H Automotive instead.

Afterward, I was told the car had multiple oil and coolant leaks and was quoted an additional $3,500 for repairs. On a car worth about $4,000, this didn't make financial sense. When I declined the extensive repairs, there was no discussion of smaller, interim solutions or things I could try myself; the only suggestion was financing the full amount. The immediate next step was being asked to retrieve my vehicle. The shop was extremely busy, and I left with the impression that they prioritize large, high-cost jobs. Disappointed with the experience and lack of flexible solutions, I will not be returning. Update to my previous review: It's been two weeks since I picked up my vehicle, and I have not observed any oil on my driveway. This seems inconsistent with what I was told about the severity of the oil leak issue during my visit. I have checked the oil level multiple times and it appears to remain at the same level. After posting my initial review, I received several phone calls from the shop owner requesting that I modify my review. I eventually asked that these calls stop. Service details: I paid $180 for initial diagnostics, during which I was told there was an 80% probability that the problem was my battery cables. I then paid $235.19 for new battery cables, but it did not resolve the issue. A subsequent diagnosis costing $359.98 identified a bad ground wire, which was then repaired by tapping in a new wire. Additional observations from my service experience: When I collected my vehicle, I noticed what appeared to be a black, grease-like substance on the exterior door handle that was not present when I dropped it off. I also discovered that the front emblem was no longer attached to my vehicle. When I inquired about this inside the shop, staff located the emblem and handed it to me and told me it fell off when they closed the hood. I check my fluids every month, this has never happened to me. There was no offer to repair the damage.
