Had lunch at Rafael's Kitchen and Mad Coffee. The ambiance was positive and staff quite friendly. The parking lot accross the street is free with validation. Our server extraordinare was Jesus who was professional, kind and knowledgeable. Top notch service and great personality. I had a cup of coffee which was perfect and the Santa Ana Buritto which was tasty and quite a large portion with half of it heading home. My wife had the Chicken caprese sandwich with a side salad. We thoroughly enjoyed the outdoor patio and the fantastic service that Jesus provided as he attended to multiple tables. A truly gifted customer service professional! Thanks and we recommend this great lil spot. The menu is full of excellent choices so we will be back to try some additional dishes. read more

This is such a cute little gem in the middle of businesses! My boys and I came in for breakfast on a weekday morning. I had the banana bread matcha latte and it was delicious, not overly sweet and well balanced. It truly did taste like banana bread. The portions for the food were generous and tasty. I appreciated the vegan options as I was able to order a vegan burrito. My boys had a breakfast burrito and eggs and bacon. Ari and Oscar served us and were very kind even though they were busy. We will be coming back next time we're in the area. read more

I came down to Orange County from the San Fernando Valley to meet somebody and this restaurant was in the middle. This place is a hidden gem. We are staying at the Courtyard Marriott and looked on yelp for a breakfast spot. We found Rafael's Kitchen, which is just across the hotel parking lot on the other side of the Universal Electronics building. We got the Eggs & Bacon, Turkey Sausage Burrito and the Belgian Waffle. All delicious. The green salsa that comes with the burrito is so good. Next time we visit, I want to try the French toast - it looked so good, thick slices of bread. Also really loved my Madagascar Vanilla Latte. Service was excellent too...Ari was an attentive server. Loved the interior of the restaurant - well lit and the patio was a prime spot. I think all the food we ordered punched above its weight. The pizza and pasta were great, and portions were large. Recommend 1 medium pizza for 2 people, not a large. To start off this place is definitely a great place to be serviced at. My buddy and I came in, first time eating at this place and didn't know where to go to dine in to start. Super buys space with a lot of people walking around. Claudia, one of the servers was nice enough to help welcome us. Mind you it was super busy so many tables were full and there were only 1 open table for two but it was a little dirty. Claudia saw it and cleaned it for us right away. Amazing. That made us feel very welcome. From that point on, she helped get our order in and was very considerate with how small the table was, she knew there were things that needed to be moved so she moved it for us before our food came out. As we were enjoying our time, she would check in. Sometimes the small things make the biggest differences. Hope others receive the same service from everyone. Came here Sunday morning around 10am. It was busy but still had a few tables open. It shares a space with mad happy coffee. If you dine in you can also order mad happy coffee to your table.
