Wings were good, crawfish was mid and the crawfish sauce was spicy but other than that was lacking flavor. We asked the waitress about the happy hour buckets and ask what the Dos Equis beer was under and she said it can be under domestic for happy hour so we said ok sure! When the bill came we were charged the import price and the OWNER came out and gave us a pop quiz on where Dos Equis is from and said its import and that "since he's such a nice guy" he put it as the domestic happy hour price. Owner was very rude and i would of rather him charge us the right price then come and be douche bag. Never coming here again. Trash. read more

Let's start with walking into the establishment... well was told to sit wherever we wanted. We found a table at down, the table was sticky.. someone came to take drink orders but gave us no menus. Then had to ask for menus. Ordered 2 lbs of crawfish, 1/2lb of boiled shrimp with a fried shrimp platter.. I must say the only reason to pay high such high prices is because of the market price .. will not be returning the food was mediocre at best. Our server was cool. Feeling very spoiled in spring branch right now. First the PJ's coffee and now actually good Cajun food? Came in for a quick lunch! Muffaletta was great and the chargrilled oysters were really good too (a little on the dry side I do wish they had more butter, but still good). Need to come back in for gumbo, a debris poboy, and the bread pudding. And of course need to try their crawfish when it comes into season! read more

Visited on a Thursday during happy hour. Ordered the Rita hurricane frozen mix and a Bloody Mary both were good. Next we got 2 kids meals (chicken tenders and chicken Alfredo). Again both were good. Order some oysters on the half shell and boudin balls. Oysters were almost tasteless but large. The boudin balls were tasty. For our entrees we got the shrimp boil spicy and a crawfish/oyster po boy. I enjoyed the po boy, very large but the shrimp were underwhelming. Price point put us over $100 for everything but e expected that. Be advised if you are not from here and decide to sit outside just know that flies and mosquitoes are a given here in Houston. Our server was nice but we noticed the other server was more attentive to his tables. read more

We are so happy to have Ragin Cajun (Wirt) as a new neighbor. The location and atmosphere is very family friendly and comfortable. We have already enjoyed large team parties as well as small family meals at the restaurant. We usually choose to come on days that we can sit outside as the kids love to run around on the fenced in turf area. I My husband loves the New Orleans Roast and Grits and I love the shrimp Po Boy. The dirty rice is the best I've had. In fact, we order the dirty rice as a take out side when I cook at home. We look forward to many more nights out at this (now) local restaurant! read more

After being dragged to this location for redemption , turns out this location is still crap. Employees always high on something and doing shots infront of guests at the bar ! I went when it first opened. Food was good then. It was awful today. Everything had been obviously frozen for a long time. Even the hush puppies weren't good. I've had better hush puppies at Long John silvers. I suspect this place will be on the next episode of bar rescue and will probably go under in the next couple months. read more

Seafood gumbo is inedible. It's so spicy without any flavor. Service was unprofessional. I believe the only reason to come here to watch a game, that seems to be the only reason the staff shows up to work to. Wow! I met some friends at Ragin Cajun for a happy hour/dinner this evening and am so happy to share a review! The drinks were perfect!! The food (spaghetti /meatball and Buffalo shrimp) exceeded my expectations and had a true Cajun/Italian spice and taste! The staff, specifically Jacob, treated you to a true "where everybody knows your name..." experience! Welcome to the neighborhood Ragin Cajun! First time coming trying this place, the wing appetizer was good and I ordered crawfish which were not flavorful. Overall good service from staff but when ordering we asked if dos xx was part of the happy hour and we were told yes. Our check did not reflect that so I questioned it and the owner confronted us about it very rudely! He did not introduce himself or ask us what was the issue. He approached us and said " dos xx... where is it from? Yall should know " This was directed in a way to make us feel dumb instead of resolving any miscommunication. read more

I haven't been to the new location in Spring Branch. I live in the area. I used to be a regular at the Richmond location but quit going when they quit making their Crawfish Pies. We would go to eat at the restaurant and then order several pies to take home for later. I was so disappointed. It would be awesome if they brought back the Crawfish pies. Using the original recipe. The new Ragin Cajun on Wirt Road/Spring Branch is fantastic. The restaurant is great looking. They did an awesome job on the design. They have a huge outside patio and plenty of space for kids to run around. The location is perfect and easy to get to from I-10, Westview or Long Point. The food was amazing and the service was awesome--both food and bar. The four of us had gumbo, po-boys, shrimp and grits, grilled chicken, grilled oysters and buffalo shrimp. We all cleared our plates. If you like the original Richmond location you will absolutely love this new spot. These folks know what they are doing. Looking forward to going back. read more

My family and I visited this location on Saturday April 27,2024. I was beyond excited to try this location since I saw the signage when it was being built. After some convincing I finally got my husband to take the plunge and try them out. Parking was by far the best thing about our experience. We decided to sit outside. On the walk outside a guest grabbed her purse as my children passed by her ( no they were not going to knock it down nor was it in the way). As a person of color you are mindful of how you present yourself to the world and how the world reacts to your presence. Once we were seated outside there was another long wait for someone to actually to wait on us. The staff was not attentive at all. From the moment we walked in no one greeted us or even a slight smile in our direction. The waiter was not horrible. He was a young African American man with an afro ( I can't remember his name to save my life) but for the most part he seemed nervous. We ordered our drinks, appetizers and food. The drinks were flat. The strawberry lemonade was horrible. It seems to be flavored using some kind of syrup that does not mix well with the lemonade. Food was bland. The dirty rice was delicious. No one in my party of 6 completed their meal. Mine was untouched outside of a bite of catfish and a fry. We did not receive silverware until midway through our dinner. No refills. The chef (guy with a white apron), went around the entire patio asking about the guests dining experience but my group was missed. Like he literally went to the table directly behind us and then around us to the next table. Multiple waitresses were outside tending to multiple tables but no one looked our way. There was a dog at one table eating at the table. Actually in the chair at the table eating off the table. We asked for the check which ended up being around 180. We tipped the waiter and left. I bagged up our food to bring to a lady that stays near us (majority of the food was untouched) but accidentally left it on the table and the guy cleaning the table did not alert us that it was left behind just threw it away. read more
