The clerical staff was very cordial and pleasant, I took my blue and gold Macaw only for nail trimming but at the end the bill was an extraordinary $300+, I expected an Avian Veterinary which I wasn't too convinced that Janet Meyerhoff, DVM, was. She was professional with my bird but my bird only. She wasn't pleasant at all I would say a bit rude. I believe being in business your client is your boss and should be treated with respect and politeness goes a long way. read more

We just adopted a five year old Aussie and needed to have her spayed, so we took her to Rainbow Veterinary Hospital for the surgery. My goodness, I can't say enough good things about them. The whole experience was smooth and easy. She was in and out of surgery very quickly and their handiwork looked flawless - they are quick but they do not rush, that's for sure! I think they've done thousands of surgeries and are just exceptionally good. Our girl had such a quick and easy recovery, too. I was told that my appointment for neutering was confirmed but the office did not have the appointment on the calendar. They muzzled my dog and turned him blue. He's been Muzzled before and that's never happened. No body took responsibility. The receptionist had the wrong information on my dog's chart about his vaccines. The doctor scolded me for it. Dr. Pallai is an arrogant man with no compassion for animals. He does not care to listen to the issues or symptoms. He only wants to upsell you on tests, meds and products. I have a cat that needs to be neuter, I call them and asked for prices; the receptionist proceed to ask me if I have a voucher. I said no, I was confused I asked her if I needed a voucher. Well she said this is not a no low cost veterinary; we charge full price here (800+). I asked her, if I asked if this veterinary was a low cost, she said no. I told her I could pay full price for the veterinary services. She didn't say anything. I had been profiled over the phone. And I told her so, instead of apologizing or say anything; she hung up on me. Horrible customer service and phone manners. I don't think I will ever take my cat here. read more

Dr. Pallai misdiagnosed my cat. We got bloodwork done at this place and based on the results he determined that she had hyperthyroidism and put her on hyperthyroid medications. I had her on the medication for two weeks and suddenly, she started vomiting nonstop after taking the meds. I called the hospital back and they (a different doctor this time - because I declined to be pressured into submitting my indoor 15 year old cat to a *mandatory* rabies vaccination, they handed us over to another vet at the hospital) recommended a gel medication to put on her ear. We were not able to give that to her because she would not stop vomiting, even though I implored this new doctor to give us anti-vomiting meds that were in pill form that we could administer at home and he declined because he wanted her to come in for the injection instead and fluids (which, would not be the best choice for us, as we have fluids at home and this would cost more money). The following morning I took my cat to another vet for a second opinion because she was in miserable shape. They did their examination and reviewed the same bloodwork results that Dr. Pallai had used, as well as run a complete panel. Turns out, my cat DOES NOT have hyperthyroidism, but instead has IBD (which her brother from the same litter ALSO has). She is on the mend and we can tell she's already feeling better. They were also able to do complete lab work and x-ray on my cat for a fraction of the cost and she appeared to be normal with a bit of gas in her digestive track. We were worried that she could of possibly had heart issues as the underlying problem, yet that also turned out to not be the case. We're thankful we found this out because it was recommended by the vet tech at Rainbow Vet Hospital that our cat needed to do an echocardiogram or else she could die like the other cat he saw earlier who needed the same procedure. We would of blown $600+ dollars. In hindsight, we should of trusted the other low reviews of Rainbow Vet Hospital, yet didn't because the location was convenient. Don't be fooled - their vet doesn't have the best track record, the front desk is disorganized and there's miscommunications between them and the vet/vet technicians...please, take your pet somewhere else. Also, if you're reading this, don't allow anyone bully or pressure you into getting unnecessary treatments or vaccinations for your pet. The vet technician will give you the excuse "the vaccination is to protect us" or "the doctor won't see your animal unless you get this vaccination." Decline - if they have to pressure or bully you into submission, then it's not really about giving your pet proper care and more about making money. I'm forever grateful that we got that second opinion and have already started telling friends and family to avoid this place. read more

They were able to get my dog in last minute, and they were constantly telling me what exactly they were gonna do with my hyper reactive dog but our doctor Mr. hair bun was completely rude making unnecessary comments about the choice of collar I chose for my dog and how it's not good for her as an establishment a Doctor should not be making comments like that especially when it is not your dog your job is to diagnose my dog properly and help my dog properly not make comments about somebody else's dog when it does not belong to you at the end of the day I'm a dog owner of three. I've tried a lot of different collar, and harnesses on all dogs. Each dog has something that works for them so I don't need a doctor at a time where I'm scared to judge me on something I chose for my Dog that works he need to take classes on what to say and not to say he will ruin this business with an attitude like that read more
