I ordered the chicken teriyaki and spicy katsu chicken combo. They had good portions for the price. It also came with a salad that had a unique homemade sauce. Teriyaki had a good balanced sauce -My favorite part though was the chicken katsu it was crispy while also had the right amount of spice and sauce. I get all manner of teriyaki and it's great. Haven't had the Korean dishes yet. Also really love the fried rice. I'm kinda weird about my fried rice, and they do it right. I don't think I've had better fried rice since that Perry Ko's South China Restaurant and Dragon Room bar on Beacon got pushed out of the neighborhood by the light rail. Life has never been the same. First time I've gotten to order their orange chicken since the tragic slaying of the beloved owner. They've been getting a ton of business as of late since reopening, so good luck trying to call ahead with an order. It'll be easier for you just to drive down. Friendly service still runs in the family, and I was instantly greeted. I placed my order and overheard the new owner son mention that orange chicken is "not his specialty." Portions continue to be phenomenally good for the price. Can confirm the orange chicken is more gummy texture and less flavorful than his father's precedent. His father's recipe was the top orange chicken in the region, and I used to order regularly for lunch when I worked in Mt Baker area. I would recommend adding more citrus and ginger to the sauce and add more salt for the batter and fry the chicken a little longer for more crunch. I'm sure in due time they will figure out the right recipe. I wish the family healing and continued success so I still rate as a 4 overall. read more

Very cheap and fast food on the go, or just for lunch! I am surprised because I have gone here a few times, but this time in particular, I was impressed. I ordered chicken teriyaki to go, and it was ready when I got there 5 minutes later. Yay! Overall, it was about $7.31 for a chicken teriyaki with 2 scoops of rice. They don't give as big scoop portions of rice as most teriyaki joints, however, I still think it's pretty good for the price. They have other Korean foods as well, as they Korean owned. They also have Chinese food too. It's a typical teriyaki joint so there's nothing that'll surprise you. Of course, it's busy during lunch times, but it's clean and very friendly. read more

Seattle is known for their style of teriyaki. I've had teriyaki all over the city from various restaurants and this location always kicks it out of the park. Affordability is definitely a word to describe their prices too. Conveniently placed, with ample parking, you are sure to get in and out with your order. I miss the days when you could eat here but since Covid, it's been so quick to pick up and take home. Hands down the side salads are always fresh and crispy. Chicken is evenly sauced and the mixed vegetables are the perfect add on. Definitely would recommend the katsu. Not too thick and perfectly breaded!!! Handa down on of the best Teriyaki restaurants I have ever been to in Washington and I have been to so many different ones all over the entire State Of Washingto. Their customer service is excellent, food is fresh and hot, and also not to forget very fast. You wait 5 minutes probably was way less than that. There are other businesses so there's more parking to go around and location wise right off Rainier Ave and South Walden Street. Great experience and wonderful time there! Not bad! This is a viable alternative to Toshio's for you Rainier Valley- Beacon Hill-Mt. Baker types. Tonight I ordered the "triple combination", which is chicken, beef, gyoza and fried rice. Comes with a small side salad (and as expected in a Japanese restaurant, the salad dressing was excellent with just a hint of tartness). Chicken was golden brown though rather dry. The beef was juicy with a nice garlic flavor. The gyoza were golden crunchy on the outside, but the filling was bland. The fried rice had a smoky flavor and a good texture (peas, carrots and a few bean sprouts). However, it was a bit oily. The restaurant was large (for a teriyaki joint!) and airy. My kids & I came here yesterday suuuuper hungry, with them craving chicken katsu. It did not disappoint! I had the tofu teriyaki bowl - the flavor was amazing, almost smokey, not too salty & just plain delicious. A great value & perfect size for dinner when I was starving. My kids shared the katsu. They're 8 & 6 and demolished it in record time. I tried it & it was so yummy, not greasy, great flavor, generous portion size. They also have brown rice, which we prefer. Before we left my oldest asked if I'd tipped. When I said yes & told him the amount he said "that's good, because that was the best katsu ever!" Heard that this place recently changed management/ owners so we popped by for a visit. Sure enough, there were new faces behind the counter. My kids grew accustomed to greeting the old owners by name, so it was a bit sad since we didn't realize it was changing hands. The menu has expanded and there are updated pics that provide a great visual of several dishes. We ordered four different things, and we all were satisfied with quantity, quality, and presentation. For dine-in patrons and those waiting for pick-up/to go orders, there's hot tea and soup to tide you over until you get your meal. I usually get the cb6 and it's so good and the serving size is huge which is perfect. They used to have an amazing egg drop soup but they've removed it. While no one can replace the space in my sweet, sweet teriyaki heart for Yasuko's Teriyaki on Delridge, Rainier Teriyaki will do. It's close to home, clean, and most important is run by a mom, pop, son Korean family. I love how the Korean's do the little sesame/garlic flava' in the Yaki dude! My man and I both liked our meals, even though it was about $2 more than it should have been per meal based on the value given. I also liked how I was politely scolded for using a paper cup for my water..."Next time I'd prefer it if you used the plastic cups over there for water", he says. "Duly noted", I say. ......Honestly, if they weren't hidden in a built-in cabinet, I would have used them, but I just couldn't see 'em baby! Good in a pinch, so there will be a next visit. read more
