    Grilled pork banh mi

I can't believe how many times I've driven by this place and didn't know what I was missing out on!!! I recently heard about Banh Mi My Tho from family friends and finally stopped by on Thursday at 11:30 am. Parked in the small lot behind the building and went up to the window and was quickly and warmly greeted! (I always appreciate a smile and kind people at any place that I go to!) I ordered the grilled pork banh mi sandwich (#2 on the menu) and a Diet Coke and I was shocked that the total for the entire meal was under $10! What?? How is that possible??! The banh mi was only $7.50! After I ordered, I turned around and there were about 5 people behind me. I think you need to go early to beat the lunch crowd! Well, I waited about 5-7 minutes for my meal and the anticipation was excruciating. I drove home and when I unwrapped the sandwich, I think I heard angels sing. Hahaha! The crunch and acidity of the veggies...the fresh baguette...the seasoned pork...all combined were so yummy!! I'm definitely going back not only for the sandwiches but for the smiles and good vibes!

Tired of the rain and being cooped up at home, I decided to walk to Bánh Mì Mỹ Tho for some banh mis and Vietnamese coffee as soon as the rain stopped. This is my first time at this location, even though it's the closest one to me. It's quite different from the other locations; it's in the former Wienerschnitzel building, a converted walk-up. I was craving some Viet coffee and wanted to support a local business, so I checked out Bánh Mì Mỹ Tho #3 in Rosemead. I ordered three #2 Grilled Pork Banh Mis ($7.50 each), one #1 Special Banh Mi ($7.50), a Meatball Skewer ($3.64), four Pork Egg Rolls ($1.13 each), and a large Vietnamese Coffee with Condensed Milk ($5.01). I enjoyed chatting with Vincent, the owner's nephew, while waiting for my food. He was very friendly. Everything was great! We especially liked the #2 Grilled Pork Banh Mi and the #1 Special Banh Mi. Our son loved the Pork Egg Rolls. My wife thought the Vietnamese Coffee was a bit too sweet, but I enjoyed it. FYI, this location accepts Apple Pay and credit/debit cards, unlike the original, which is cash only. This might be my new go-to spot! I'll definitely be back!

Not necessarily a coffee place, but they do sell Vienamese coffee, and does it pack a punch. Banh Mi My Tho, is a small stand located on the corner of Garvry Ave and Dequine St, just right before the traffic light. There are multiple locations it seems this one is on the go, as there is no where to sit. Like many have mentioned the lost is tiny (about 5 spots) so if it's busy, you might need to park along Dequine Ave. Simple menu of different Banh Mi, appetizers, a couple of plate dishes, and rolls. I ordered two large Vietnamese coffees, a Grilled Pork Banh Mi, and one of their pandan cakes. The coffees were great, nothing fancy simple and strong as expected. The Grilled Pork Banh Mi was delicious, nicely pickled carrots and raddish, fresh spice from the jalapeño, and savory lemon grass marinated pork I especially appreciated the baguette was still crusty and crispy but plessantly soft too. Some banh mi baguettes can be too hard, but this was not the case. The pandan cake was delicious as well, nice chew lightly sweetened with coconut flavor. I looked it up and it's a pandan honeycomb cake called banh bo nuong. I went on a Sunday morning so not busy at all, but people were coming up and ordering. You can also order ahead of time to save time. It only took about 5ish minute after we placed the order so not long at all. It's a nice quick place to pick up a great quality Banh Mi, definitely want to try other items, and will be back!

Been eyeing this place for a couple years. We got vegetarian banh mi, vegetarian summer rolls, and grilled beef summer rolls. Everything was delicious. My only complaint was that the bread for the banh mis is way too hard. Cut the roof of my mouth. /: Outdoor seating only. No bathroom for customers. Parking lot on site.

Solid good Banh mi and very reasonable price. Very convenient location right on the corner. Picked veggies are good. Not a fan of the spring roll sauce. But I plan to be a regular here

Ever since Banh Mi My Tho took over the former Wienerschnitzel site, its iconic triangular building has served the community with more than just sandwiches. It also brought along signature dishes originally made popular at their Alhambra location. Although the building is small, offering window-side service only and a limited menu, the items they specialize in are of the highest quality one could ask for. From a variety of bánh mì options to Vietnamese-style coffee and lunch plates, the crew consistently serves everything hot and fresh, ready the moment the window opens. It's usually a popular spot during early breakfast hours, so expect a short line--often made up of parents after school drop-offs and office workers grabbing lunch to go. As someone who visits weekly, I can say the portion sizes and quality have always been consistent, and I'm confident you'll experience the same.

We love Banh Mi My Tho! We will drive all the way from Diamond Bar area to get our banh mi from here. The owner is so great and always so friendly. Everything is fresh and delicious. There's also plenty of parking, so that makes things easier. We recently asked the owner if we could order banh mi meat, spreads, and pickled radish so that we could make a banh mi charcuterie board. He was so helpful and took great care of our needs. We made an amazing banh mi charcuterie board and it was a huge hit for our thanksgiving potluck. Everything was delicious and fresh. Highly recommend Banh Mi My Tho on Garvey/New Ave.

Great spot! My sandwich was excellent. Great portion and just the right amount of spice. Ready super quickly and the staff was friendly and kind. Would definitely recommend.

First heard about Banh Mi My Tho from a friend who suggested I check it out. However, when time came to give it a shot we would always end up elsewhere for some odd reason. Was driving home from work one day and noticed they had opened up another location nearby my office. Decided to grab some sandwiches for my coworkers on my way in. I opted for the lemongrass pork bang mi which was tasty! I agree this isn't your typical baguette but thought the bread had a nice crunch and an even better bite to it. The lemongrass pork was flavorful and the pickled veggies were perfect. I did order a grilled meatball banh mi to take home but wasn't a huge fan of the meatballs. Will definitely come back for banh mi's especially given that my old go to shop just doesn't taste as good anymore. Also appreciate this isn't cash only biz as I stopped carrying cash post pandemic.

When I arrived, I was told they would not honor the advertised price. I took a photo/screenshot of the advertisement showing the $10 price, yet the restaurant still refused to honor it. Advertising one price and then refusing to honor it when customers arrive is misleading and a complete waste of people's time and money. This poster clearly says "ALL LOCATIONS" For those customers reading this message, do not make the same mistake that I did. I politely asked to speak with the owner regarding the issue. I drove 45 minutes based on your advertisement only to be disappointed and treated as though the advertised price meant nothing. That's right, 5 minutes. Although I did go around 9:50AM so there wasn't a line nor another party in the dining area. Food: I woke up craving Vietnamese and this place didn't disappoint. The Bon Rieu had the depth of flavor that I crave. Honestly, I judge most Vietnamese pho restaurants by their Bon Rieu because some places simply use seafood powder in their stock to fake it. What results is a very thinly flavored broth that has very little umami. Bon Rieu should have THE MOST umami of any soup dish because of its tomato and crab base. That's how you can tell if a place is cutting corners. The Nem Cuom is huge and the dipping sauce is generous. The House Special Tea is reminiscent of a passion fruit green tea from a boba place. Sweetened just enough to not be saccharine. Ambiance: Quite small. I believe one of their main issues may be parking during peak hours as it shares a tiny parking lot with many other businesses. HOWEVER, neighborhood parking is plentiful and just around the corner past the Sheridan Hotel and Starbucks. Round the corner and you'll find plenty of parking throughout the day.

It is a nicely stacked bowl that has everything but the kitchen sink in it - roast pork belly, catfish, squid, eggplant, and stuffed jalapeno with fried fish cake. Very filling and reasonably priced! I came by on a Friday at 7pm for a dinner (weekend before Mother's Day) and was able to get seated in 15 minutes. They have a Yelp waitlist but you must go in person to join the waitlist. There's a spacious parking lot but there's rarely any spots available and will require you to wait for a free one. The interior is honestly very pretty. It's decorated with overhead chandeliers with bright lights and marble tables. When your table is ready, they also give you a tray full of chopsticks, napkins, and forks. Each table also has hoisin, sriracha, chili sauce, and another sauce I'm not too sure about. After we ordered, I got my pho da biet maybe 5 minutes after. The cha gios also came out a few minutes after too. Unfortunately, my boyfriend's com tam was forgotten about until after I devoured my pho. We even asked them about it in the middle and it was checked on but we weren't updated and thought they had went ahead and cancelled it but it still came out. No biggy, we packed it to-go since we basically split the pho da biet. Food: Pho da biet (9.5/10): The pho was soooo delicious. It was meaty with a little bit of sweetness to it. This is one of the few places where I don't feel the need to sauce down my pho to enjoy it. There's a good amount of meat in here. If you're a tendon enjoyer, there's about 3 big chunks in here. I love the way they separate everything. If you order this, it comes with the stone bowl at no additional costs. They separate the noodles and ribeye on the side and let you "decorate" it yourself. There was also a good amount of noodles in here. Com tam (7.9/10): I thought that this one was just okay. We got the grilled pork and grilled pork chop and I thought that the meats were cooked perfectly. There was a nice char to the meats and it was seasoned deliciously. It came with a lot of rice and a side of soup to enjoy! I did enjoy this fish sauce more than the one that came with the egg rolls. Overall, I wish this dish came out the same time as the pho so we could've enjoyed it together. Cha gio/Imperial Rolls (7/10): I love egg rolls but this one didn't really stand out to me. It comes with a good amount of vegetables that you can use to wrap your egg rolls in. I wish the fish sauce that came with this was more salty. Maybe it was that day, but I couldn't really tell what was inside the filling. It was all mushed in together instead of different layers. The skin was very thin and crispy which I really liked!

He rushed to the kitchen to get that going and it came out within a few minutes. Broth check first. It was light and had flavor. Didn't need to add hot sauce or hoisin sauce. Dressed up the pho with the herbs and went at it. Finished that as well. Pretty extensive menu. Fresh food. Overall, a nice place to grab some Vietnamese food.

I've only dined in a few times because it's always crowded and usually has a long wait, so I typically order my food to go. I enjoy both the combination pho and the chicken pho. The broth is rich and flavorful, and their egg rolls are also very good. On my last visit, I ordered a rice plate with pork chop, egg rolls, and shrimp paste. The dish was tasty. The pork chop was well seasoned and tender. They included two egg rolls and two pieces of shrimp paste, which I thought was generous. I just wish the pork chop portion had been a little larger. The rice was also delicious and had a buttery flavor. The meal was enough for two people to share. Prices are a bit higher compared to other pho restaurants, but the food quality is consistently good. Customer service was great. I placed my order online, and it was ready when I arrived.
