This place is just ok. The menu is limited to chicken fingers, fries and coleslaw. The chicken strips are flavorless in my opinion. It seems like they don't even salt or season the meat or breading. The lemonade was very good but when I went to get a refill I was told there was a charge. I understand that it's fresh squeezed but I already paid extra for it in the first place. I do like that they give back to the community quite a bit. I know several organizations that they have supported. So points for that. read more

Originally when I wrote a review for another Cane's, it never occurred to me that the customer is not limited to only getting the combo boxes. They're very cool with customers only getting a couple of wings and a cup of water. I found out that 3 fingers and a regular soda, comes out to $6.00 even. (It comes in handy when one doesn't want any more change in their pocket) They're cool with people bringing their condiments as well. I recommend bringing in yellow mustard for the chicken. If the customer prefers the sauce, that's fine too. Anyone can bring whatever they want or not want. The positive experiences I had with Cane's makes up for the rating. Which is why I say the chicken by its self is plain ONLY in flavor. The chicken's crispy shell is dry to the touch (I say this because it's easy finger food without getting one's fingers dirty), the meat is hot and juicy on the inside. The fries are a good crispy, a soft inside with a gentle crunch. (Yes I use mustard with it, a cardinal sin for fries but it's good and healthier than ketchup). I never had a bad experience with the Texas Toast, I would prefer it if the toast could be buttered on both sides but it doesn't take away from anything from it tasting great. Give the place a chance and bring in your favorite condiment (except ketchup, they have plenty of that on tap.) read more

I am a huge fans of chicken fingers and these were good but not great. First and foremost, Cane's makes their chicken fingers from fresh, never frozen chicken and you can tell. I had four fingers and they were all nice, plump, and moist. Unfortunately, that's where the love ended. It puzzles me why they go to such great lengths to offer up superior chicken but don't invest in their coating. The coating on my fingers was thin and lacked the crunchy texture that my favorite chicken fingers joint offers, Bush's. If they improve the coating, these would be some killer chicken fingers. The fingers themselves had a nice peppery base which was very nice. The side of cole slaw was decent enough but these things are so subjective. The cabbage had a nice crunch but the top was a bit bland and the bottom, where all the juices had settled, was much tastier. It wasn't at all vinegary like many cole slaws are, which is a good thing in my opinion. The Texas toast could have a bit more flavor but added nicely to the combo. The crinkle cut fries were too thin for my taste. If they used a thicker cut, I'd be pleased. Also, they need to throw a bit more salt or other seasoning on the fries. The Cane sauce is your typical mixture of mayonnaise, ketchup, and in this case, pepper. It was a nice addition to the chicken. I saw many people drinking the lemonade but it costs extra and is not one of their fountain drink items. Delivery of your food goes in spurts as everything is cooked fresh. In my case, I had to wait at least 10 minutes but soon after getting my meal, they kicked out about 6 in a rapid succession. If you like chicken fingers and you're in the neighborhood, give Raising Cane's a shot. If there's a Bush's nearby, their fingers are better AND you get country gravy to dip your fingers in... Besides the delicious chicken and Cane's sauce, I love this place simply because I am from Louisiana and I used to live next to the original location near LSU. Raising Cane's chicken only sells fried chicken tenders in a 3,4,5, or 6 piece combo. There is also a combo for a chicken sandwich. The combos come with the chicken tenders, a Texas toast (the 6 piece comes with two toasts I believe), fries, a coleslaw, and a cup of Cane's sauce. My best advice to you: *SWAP YOUR COLESLAW OUT FOR AN EXTRA SAUCE!!!* This is a must! I mean, does anyone out there actually eat coleslaw? LOL! The sauce is so delicious I feel this is mandatory. The best way I can describe the sauce is peppery and creamy. The chicken tenders are lightly battered and fried to perfection. They are never greasy or undercooked. The toast is buttered and crispy and I love to dip it in my sauce. The fries are probably the "worst" thing about this place. They are okay, but could be better. I dip them in the sauce as well (can you say addict?). The drive thru is always fast because well, they are only selling one thing! This makes it a great place to roll by if you're on a lunch break and don't have time to waste. They also offer tailgate boxes, which is a box of like 100 or so chicken tenders, which would be ideal for large groups. My go-to place for a hassle-free lunch. The menu consists of nothing but chicken strips so there's really no delay in the ordering process. Their chicken strips are very succulent and juicy, the outside is always crispetty crunchy and the inside is so moist and juicy. The sandwich is amazing in its own right. Their Texas toast is buttery, garlicy, big, and delicious, the epitome of what Texas toast should and could be. The fries are a nice side and their sauce accompanies both the strips and the fries perfectly. I am only giving them 4-stars because there's really nothing besides their special sauce and ketchup for dipping. There is also a serious lack of veggies (tomato, pickles, onions) to compliment their delicious sandwiches. I highly recommend the sweet tea with light ice, a perfect blend of smoke and honey.
