First of all for starters, this is the most disgusting location that I have ever been too. Like ever ! The atmosphere is dull, there is no welcoming party here at all. Everyone looks as though they hate their job. Second they have very minimal staff coverage at the registers ( always a really long line) as well as throughout the store, the store layout is horrible, nothing makes sense here ! The managers are horrible and rude and don't seem to care about the well being of their employees at all. Bathrooms always look gross and unkept. I have no choice to give them 1 , if I could give them ZERO I would ! Over all my experience here was VERY poor, this store is nothing compared to other Ralph's locations that I have been too. They also lack a lot of everyday product. I have better luck at the Korean Markets than here. read more

Dave in the fish department really took his time to explain the differences between the fishes for me. I don't cook much and he offered up a lot of advice on how to cook and season the different types of fishes. He was extremely helpful! I was also searching for multiple items outside of the fish department and he took his time to help locate them for me. I was searching for tahini and he worked alongside Marilyn (cashier) to help locate this item for me. She provided accurate information and was also extremely friendly! Great experience at Ralphs! This location is really emblematic of how Kroger/Ralph's cares less about communities of lower socio-economic status. I recently began shopping here after moving to Canoga Park. Product selection sucks, store is dirty, and service is horrible. Four empty express lines open and only one regular check out open with a line 10 customers deep. Of course no manager stepped up to do anything. No self-service check out either...guess that's too 21st century for this location. I've been a loyal shopper of Ralph's markets from Studio City to Woodland Hills. You come to this location and everything from the produce to the oatmeal is lesser. Stick to the Ralph's on Ventura Blvd. if you can. At least there's a lot of available parking here (Gee, I wonder why?). read more

This located is completely either understaffed or the management just doesn't care to help out their employees. There was only 3 lanes open at 6:30pm on a Tuesday. So the store was super packed with customers. The cashier said that they have been calling the management down from their office to help/ open other cashier lanes and she laughed and said they just don't care to help they have been called to come help their team all day. Not to mention they didn't have any more cats or baskets where they are supposed to be for customers to grab. I think this location needs a tune up and needs some attention from the management. I usually think all Ralph's has great customer service but this located is a thumbs down! Will not be returning to this location since it's such a headache! read more

This Ralph's is very convenient for its location. Right next to the Arco gas station with great gas prices! If you want a snack, might as well drive 20 seconds over to the Ralph's and get a better deal. There are 2 Redbox kiosks out front as well. Most of the time, there is a security guard outside the front door at night, and only the door closest to the Redbox kiosks will be open. They have a really good salad bar, always clean, and a good deli. The service at the deli is hit or miss though, they could be quicker in acknowledging you. But the food is hot and fresh, so it balances out There is an adequate wine/spirits/alcohol/liquor/whatever you want to call it aisle! I don't drink a lot (really, I don't), but I noticed that they have a large selection of items. They carry more than one Stella Rosa wine, the berry one was very good with a quick dinner of chicken and salad. So if you need to go to the store and pick up something to eat quickly, just go on a few aisles and you can have a full meal in no time. One thing I noticed on the bread aisle, is that they are constantly out of whole wheat hamburger buns. Whenever I need them, they are gone. :/ Other than that... The cashiers are very friendly, the pharmacists are very friendly. The bathroom is fairly clean. Overall, a good neighborhood store. read more

I prefer this Ralph's to the one on Victory in the Fallbrook Center, mainly because of the nutty parking there. Parking is not an issue here and the store is always clean and organized. The cashiers are typically friendly, baggers usually efficient. I love Ralph's bakery, they make some bomb pumpkin chocolate chip cookies which I wish they'd make year round. They are amazing! They have two Redbox kiosks outside which my husband uses a lot. They have several cart return areas in the parking lot which are always a plus. Use their app to add coupons to your rewards card to save more. They've always got coupons for cereals and lunch meat and such. read more

This is my "The sun is down, I'm in my comfortable clothes and I don't feel like driving far to get milk or changing my attire" grocery store. I think of it as kind of a dump but it's just OK. Neighborhood along Sherman Way is kinda shady even though it's near where I live. The Ralph's locations on Victory/Fallbrook and Topanga/Ventura are much nicer and part of their Fresh Fare higher end setups. (Calabasas Commons has the best store nearby.) This store got a coat of fresh paint a few years ago so it wouldn't look like it opened in the 1970s, which it likely did. Staff here is just OK. Sometimes they can be super friendly and others, not so much. I had an incident recently where an employee was in the 10 Items or Less line and buying about 50 items and using her employee discount at the end of her shift so everyone in line was waiting forever and then watching her use coupons. Some guy (not me) stormed out because he was next in line and couldn't take it. Not cool or smart. That could have been done in another line but her buddy wasn't probably working it. The store has the ingredients and items you'd expect of a grocery store. I wouldn't buy anything too high end here (deli, seafood, etc.) if I could avoid it. My "don't care what I'm wearing/look like" attitude fits in because there can be characters here and I don't mind blending in. When the sun is out and it's the middle of the day, you won't find me here. There's a double kiosk Redbox machine out front but there often can be a line. I have to admit I don't always feel 100% safe here but in a pinch, I'll swing in. read more

Still sitting in the store parking lot writing this. I walked up to the deli counter & requested 11 pounds of Boars Head Roast Beef. The Latino man that worked at the counter asked me if I was sure. "Yes, I own a catering company and need to make a lot of sandwiches" I replied. This worker then weighed the meat & said the cost would be almost $200. I said "That's fine". Again he asked "Are you sure?". "Yes! Whatever the cost I'll pay for it". He got the meat and began slicing. Showed me the slice. I said it was good & that I would come back for the meat. I shopped & went back to the deli counter. I asked for the meat & asked for the guy that was cutting it. He showed me 8 pounds of meat & again told me the price. At this point I'd had it. I asked what the problem was? I asked him where the other 3 pounds where? The deli worker then explained to me that I must pay at the counter. I asked why? "Are any of the other customers paying at the deli counter?". The deli worker said "Well you have to pay here". I told him this is not good customer service. I went and spoke to two managers. One of the managers (a white guy) apologized & said he would speak to the worker. As the manager & I spoke the deli worker came up to me and handed me the other 3 pounds of meat as he said "It's not me". I told both of them this was unacceptable. And with the climate of the world I'd think they'd be very aware of how they treat Black patrons/customers. I was so mad. After telling the manager that this ruined my experience & that I'd never be back to shop at this location the manager comped 3 pounds of meat. Nice gesture, but doesn't change the fact there's a racist, bias, unfriendly staff member employed there. The cashier that checked me out (a white woman) saw I was visibly upset. She was very kind & said she would complain to her manager as well. read more

Areas for improvement, I wish they could carry boreshead deli meat, it is the best, and I wish they had a self check out like many Ralphs do. Worst flower department. If the person in charge of flowers isn't there, no one has the key to get into the drawers with the extra plain balloons. The girl who did know how to use the helium tank didn't even have scissors to buy the ribbon with. What a shame that this department is nothing but a mess. read more

I live up the street from this store. The "NEW" manager is nice ! the employees especially in the dairy department are ASSHOLES. The people that ring me up are extremely nice & know me and my son by name :) . . . The baggers are really helpful since this store has been remodeled a lot of things have changed. In the daytime the store runs smoothly but at night there's plenty of weirdos that come out ! but other than that the store is nice & well stocked. This is the closest Ralph's to my mothers house. So I usually come here often. There's plenty of parking spots in this shopping center. It's not a classy Ralph's but it has everything you need. It's not as clean as the other Ralph's in better neighborhoods on Ventura Blvd within the valley. The lines aren't that bad, but sometimes you gotta a wait a while in the checkout lanes. Overall it's a typical Ralph's that you got to buy your daily groceries when Costco is closed. read more

I'm highly impressed with the good customer service of "Marta" and her work ethic. She's extremely good at what she does, making the delicious Cakes and her creative decorations. She really is an example of how to be a true professional through her excellent customer service and what a leader should be. I do also want to bring up to the management team's attention a problem that I have been facing as well as other customers with an employee in the same area. I've been to this store location to purchase cakes 2 to 3 times a week due to my profession as an Event Director at a convalescent home for past 6 years. I know how important these surveys are to established a good team. "Roxana" has been extremely disrespectful to myself as well as other customers. She never greets customers and is aggressive. I always order my cakes in advance because I know that 24 hours is what is required, but she always has an excuse to make customers feel like they are doing something wrong. The rest of the bakery members are always terrified when she's there. It seems like she doesn't wants to sell the bakery products or wants to scare off the customers. I've been a loyal customer for many years because I know the prestigious company "Ralph's" is, but if this keeps persisting I will no longer make business with this location. Once again, Ralph's stepped up to the plate with excellent customer service... I complained - big time - about their change of organic produce (in particular, pre-bagged apples). The reason is that they tasted awful; no flavor, weird flavor and odd coloring inside the apple. Now I know that organic sometimes isn't pretty - but these were overly suspicious, and here's why; First, pre-bagged fruit cannot be inspected and chosen by customer and secondly, because even organic produce can be like a year old before it's sold to us! (And sprayed with chemicals to keep it "fresh" but still counts as organic since the food was not grown with it.... or something like that.) And I feel like sometimes fruits are pre-bagged so we can't tell. Anyway after my complaints, Ralph's contacted me and said they would look at the situation. Then, the very next day, I went in to check and there were the original, delicately sweet/sour, beautiful Organic Honey Crisp Apples all loose and ready to be chosen by the discerning customer. So.... of course I bought a bag (of my own choosing) and they are sweet and sour and crisp as they should be. Because of this great customer service experience, this is my "go-to" place for certain organic produce. (Seriously better than their other large competitors in the area - one of whom has the audacity to call themselves a Farmer's Market store.) Lesson learned. Seriously, if you want this store to carry something, just ask. It seems they are willing to accommodate the best they can. read more

We always go to Ralphs for our sandwiches they are always really good. Today after church we stopped at this Ralphs for our Sandwiches the toung lady who served us by tge name of maranda was very slow Took her an hour to make 3 sandwiches. They had already ran out of soups all they had was a few scoops of clam chowder no crackers. On top of that no chips For our combos now we sit in car to Eat and our sandwiches are soggy.
