Was going for the vibes and the vibes definitely delivered. First, $20 for a coffee is insane. $10 for cold foam is insane. The salted honey cold foam latte was good, but in what world is cold foam itself $10??! I guess in Ralph Lauren's world it is. I feel like they definitely could've listed this price, but then again I guess luxury is not concerned with the prices. Having the door opened when you walked in made it feel elevated, but the rest of the employees didn't really match that vibe. Tried to ask about customizing my latte (ie to skip the cold foam but keep salted honey) and he acted like people never make requests like that. I got a hot latte a couple days later and regretted it, it was a one and done for me. Checked out Ralph's coffee on a whim and was pleasantly surprised by the concept. Very nice boutique like feel, similar to others, but at the same time, unique in only a way Ralph Lauren can pull off. So far I've tried both the Vanilla and Coffee soft serve variants and both were delectable. Customer service is prompt and welcoming. Esthetic is unapologetically Ralph Lauren. Is a bit confusing to figure out how to get in line for a table. There are others confused behind us but we all ultimately found where we needed to be. The wait was not terrible on the day that we went, as they do monitor how much time you spend at the table to give others a chance as well. Service was a bit slow and we had to flag people down in order to order and as well as to pay. The table next to us shared our frustration so we just piggybacked off of each other when we needed something from waitstaff. The whole setup is a bit chaotic because the tables are very close together and small. We were hungry when we went and they were out of the sandwich we wanted to try. We both went with our backup selections and they were okay. We still had to stop and eat elsewhere afterwards. We both enjoyed our beverages, I opted for the iced chai latte. I had a peanut butter cookie for dessert and it lives rent free in my head. I will spend my life trying to figure out how they got that creamy soft texture for a cookie. I was actually SHOCKED by how great my Americano was. I had been super excited to visit a Ralph's (especially since a new one just opened in OC that I'm dying to try once I go home), but I was also skeptical because... well.. a clothing company turned coffee shop isn't the most promising and I always felt like the "pull" was the aesthetic. The cuteness of the truck and the prime location of near the cathedral/ Rockefeller is what sells this place! We're walking by and we're looking for a coffee shop. Of course I yelped and I found this spot close by when we were walking near Central Park. I didn't realize it was in a clothing store only to find out it was the actual clothing store of Ralph Lauren. He has a Ralph Lauren inspired coffee shop and café. There is a sitting area which is for their café and they looked pretty packed. It was pretty confusing as to where you order because several of us stood next to the Pickup window and they looked at us confused only to find out you have to order at the pedestal to the left, where no one was. We had to wait a few minutes for someone to finally get there to take our order . There were a few of us that were just standing there waiting for help. That part of the experience that lacked, because like I mentioned earlier, was no one there to take our order. To top it off he looked like he didn't want to be there. Very monotone, bored looking and lacked customer service skills. Now for the coffee, it was amazing! The coffee bumped up an extra star. I got the hazelnut latte with soy milk. Let me start off by saying I am OBSESSED with Ralph's Coffee! I had heard a lot about Ralph's from social media but I had mainly only heard of the coffee truck and thought that was all it was. To my surprise, it wasn't until I was so exhausted from making the walking trek from Midtown to The Metropolitan where I needed a pick me up and discovered this coffee shop a block away. After hearing so much hype I figured I might as well check this off my itinerary and was actually super excited that it was a full blown coffee shop. Being as tired as I was and seeing how long the line was I was skeptical about waiting for a while but it is SO worth it. The shop was adorable and festive with Christmas decorations throughout the shop. They also had some seasonal drinks which I have to admit I am a sucker for, so of course I ordered the gingerbread latte. As a coffee snob and someone who worked as a barista for 4 years, I think Ralph's had the smoothest tasting coffee. It was not bitter and the drink itself was not overly sweet. It was the perfect drink to warm me up as well since it was freezing out. They did have a decent amount of seats inside and out, however, the inside seating was only if you dined in. Overall, I love the coffee here and not just because it's Ralph Lauren... it is actually delicious.
