Pistachio Latte
Krystle T.

A Youtuber I follow recommended this place and she enjoyed the Pistachio Latte so when I found out there was a location by my job, of course I had to try it myself. After a long morning commute, this hit the spot. The latte had a smooth taste to it and was worth the price I paid. Looking forward to future office days just so I can order this again! Note to future self: order ahead! This place is small and cramped with everyone waiting for their order so would love to just pop in, grab my drink, and leave next time.

I'm not gonna lie, I was skeptical about ordering an overpriced matcha and it just being very overhyped, but I was very surprised by the quantity and quality being really good! All of the different flavors were so yummy and the shop itself was pretty cute. Service was also pretty efficient.

Pretty good matches spot. It's a small shop, maybe renting to seat 10 people, but it's good for a quick matcha run. The matcha itself is decent, nothing crazy good but there's unique flavors. I prefer the bitterness of a more matcha forward drink versus the flavors they have. I'd come back, its about $7 for a drink.

Loved the coffee!! Such a cute minty green vibe too. Super friendly and helpful staff with great food and drink recs. Got the cookie butter iced coffee and the cinnamon iced coffee - and two croissants as well. No extra costs for oat milk :) Love the window seating!

I got the shaken vanilla bean iced matcha latte and it was incredible. Hands down the best matcha I've ever tasted. I see why blank street is so popular!

Strawberry Shortcake Matcha

Blank Street Coffee is officially that spot. I tried the Strawberry Shortcake Matcha and I'm not exaggerating when I say it's my new favorite matcha. It was perfectly balanced with the perfect sweetness, super smooth, and had that fresh, creamy strawberry flavor. Great staff, nice clean shop. If you're a matcha lover or even just curious, I highly recommend. Enjoy

Banana Bread Daydream Matcha

Honestly worth the hype and the price, such a great matcha - unfortunate that it outperforms local spots for the same price point. Cold brew latte was such an innovative concept however it didn't deliver as much as I thought I would! Should consider staffing more baristas for such high volume stores but it's challenging when most blank streets are the sizes of shoeboxes; but that's the nyc appeal!

Blondie iced Matcha has just the right sweetness. Quick service cute seating plenty of options.

Walked in immediately wanting to leave with five drinks, can a mini trio matcha combo be a thing please? I opted for the seasonal cherry iced matcha, delicious. The hazelnut bread was yummy as well. I'll be back to try more. Ty for the courteous service.

Love Love BLANK! They always have the most creative drinks and the staff is super friendly every time I stop by. The drinks are a solid 10/10 and the matcha is especially amazing. If you're in the area, definitely stop by and treat yourself to a matcha or a latte honestly, you can't go wrong with either!

Some sorcery with the carrot cake matcha because I've never drunk a carrot cake before. This matcha was unreal. Tasted exactly like a carrot cake and I'd have it every day if I could. Also had the strawberries and cream latte which was super yummy, I'm just not as passionate about it as the carrot cake matcha. Smaller location but moves quickly which is fabulous.

watermelon yuzu matcha

the watermelon yuzu matcha was good and very refreshing! it was lacking in matcha flavor though - i couldn't taste much of it. it doesn't say this on the menu but the drink is carbonated - thankfully i liked it though :) the workers were also very nice

Iced banana bread matcha and Iced Gingersnap Latte

During my NYC trip I wanted to try a different cafe every morning and had already tried Blank Street already, but when I saw they launched a new fall menu with a Banana Bread Matcha, I couldn't resist and I had to give it a try. Came to this location at around 8:30 and placed a mobile order online. It was pretty crowded with the morning rush, but they were running it like a well oiled machine with a separate area for in-store and online orders. When I placed my order, the pick up time said 8:45 and it was ready within a few minutes of that time. The banana bread matcha hit the spot! The spiced paired really well with the banana flavoring and I like the puree they put on the side. I added an extra matcha shot to mine, and it was amazing. My boyfriend got the gingersnap latte, and this one was just okay. Nothing really stood out, and compared to their last seasonal rocky road latte seemed a bit lackluster. The banana bread matcha is a must try, I wish I could get it again!

I had the grassiest matcha (fuku no midori) prepared with just water, and it was the most refreshing drink I could've asked for during this unbearably hot summer. I came back a few more times in the same week to sample more of their menu. Surprisingly, my least favorite was the strawberry matcha latte. I think the fruit obscures the subtle flavors in the matcha and I recommend getting a plain matcha or a matcha latte instead. The shop itself is very tiny - almost standing room only - with 2 barstools by the window. Each drink is made to order and it seemed like there was only one, maybe two people preparing drinks, so if there's a large group then the drinks will take some time to come out.

Small hidden shop in Koreatown specializing in matcha and tea-based drinks!…read more I came to Mika's on a Friday morning, and while there wasn't a line, it did feel packed with the five people inside. I'd actually passed by this place multiple times but had no idea it was a cafe. This shop itself is more of a grab-and-go, but it might still take a while since all drinks are whisked and made to order. There isn't really space for a line to form inside, so you may need to wait outside to order (there's also a bit of a lack of room to wait for your drink once it's ordered). My strawberry matcha came out to $9.25 total, which is pretty pricey, so I expected a lot. In total, it took me around 10-ish minutes to get my drink with about 4 people in front of me. At first it took a while for our orders to get taken since the two employees were focused on getting drinks out ASAP, one person was preparing the syrups and milk, and the other was making the matcha. The matcha itself had a nice green color. I've had many strawberry matchas prior to this, and based on my experience, this place was alright. The strawberry syrup was nice and not too sweet, but I wish there was a bit more flavoring or more of it, as after two sips I couldn't taste the strawberry at all. Overall, it's a nice shop with cute trinkets around and their own products they sell, like matchas and tea sets. However, for $9, it was a lot for what the drink offered in my opinion.

And I commonly see the upstairs for private events like baby showers, bridal showers, or birthday parties on social media. After dinner with my friends, I was looking for dessert and I was glad to see this location closes relatively late on a weekday night at 11 pm. Upon walking in, I was greeted by a waiter who led us to one of the purple velvet chair booths that was perfect for two people and another waiter brought us a pitcher of water almost immediately. The menu is on a QR code already on the table and we were given ample of time to decide. My friend and I both already knew what we wanted to order. I got the purple Yam Souffle which takes 25 minutes to make and my friend got the fried squid tails. We also got a signature Rose Green Milk Tea to share. The waitress who took our order has great memory and recalled all of our items without writing it down. She also reminded me that I could adjust the ice and sugar levels of my drink which I had completely forgotten and would have got annoyed if my drink came out 100% sweetness. Another thing is that my drink order frequently comes out wrong at other locations so I was glad she got it right! Green tea instead of black tea and with milk instead of without milk. The purple Yam Souffle is just like the other locations. Hot, soft cakey texture balanced with an ice cold red bean Ice-Cream. So delicious! The squid tails on the other hand was not what we expected. It came out burnt and hard. The outer batter was not crispy either. We informed one of the waiters and he brought it back to inform the kitchen staff. We received a new batch that was not as burnt and had more flavoring this time around. However, the squid was still hard and not like the ones we get from other locations with smaller crispier pieces. Overall, it was still a good experience and I love the decorations at this location! This might be my second favorite location after the Flushing one. Would love to come back for brunch or hi-tea. Or regular food options when I have not already eaten dinner. My usual go-tos are the twister fries, Santa Fe chicken rolls, fried salted crispy chicken, and the trio dessert combo. However, this location has a lot more variety! FYI - there are two unisex restrooms in the rear for customers to use with really cute wallpapers too.

We ordered potted rose milk tea to share, Dubai affogato and Brown Sugar Boba Mille Crêpes Cake. We came on a Friday around 4pm. Originally I wanted to try the strawberry matchamisu, however, was told that it sold out. What a bummer. The rose milk tea came with a themed pot and cups which is really cute. The rose fragrant smelled so good and the milk tea also tasted good and has a hint of rose taste. The cake was good, the boba was well cooked, chewy and flavorful! This time there was an unpleasant experience. At first when the Dubai affogato was served, we did not realize that the amount of the coffee was little until we saw another customer's dish that the volume of their coffee looked significantly more than ours. My friend brought it to the waitress attention but the waitress brushed it off and did not acknowledge our concern. When we finished and were about to leave, the same waitress came over and showed us that the container of the coffee was different and hence the volume of the coffee looked different. At this point, we did not care for it anymore. We would have been fine if the staff acknowledged our concern. We thought that maybe using standardized containers for the coffee would avoid this problem. Other than that, the food and drinks were good.
