Even though there was a line when we walked in, the staff moved very quickly and the wait to order was only about 5 minutes. Originally, I wanted the sparkling lemonade, but they had run out of lemonade, so I ordered an iced honey latte with oat milk instead. After we ordered, the staff let us know there would be about a 15-20 minute wait for drinks since there was only one barista working. We understood, but it would have been helpful to know that before waiting in line and ordering. In BGC, manila there is a giant stylish white Arabica cafe that people go to just do Instagram and I was wondering if there are any in New York. and to my surprise, there was one less than a block from my office next to MoMa. I head on over and I see a small shop front. That from the outside what looks like two cave openings leading down. Once you open the door you realize the shop is lower than the street level and you have steps going down to a long white cafe with the distinctive Arabica look. I ordered the Spanish Latte is made with their house blend espresso, the barista made a nice heart design, and it tasted OK, with mild flavors and the sizes here are small 10oz and 12oz at an above-average price. the service was good, but I was disappointed that my cup didn't have the % logo which would have made a difference to me because as a Yelper I like to post good shots that say were I been. read more

For someone who appreciates coffee and often gets lattes that are creamy and sweet, these were definitely up my alley. They are actually very similar in taste but there are subtle differences. The Spanish Latte is made with their house blend espresso while the Kyoto Latte uses the single origin espresso. The Spanish Latte also has more condensed milk while the Japanese Latte has a more subtle sweetness. Both were really great tries and the staff, particularly James & Jordan were super friendly, helpful, and provided great customer service including exchanging our old Arabica beans for us. A message to the owner..........your staff is both indifferent and incompetent. While I have always loved the drinks, the service has become so poor that I will no longer come to this location. In a city with a plethora of gourmet, delicious coffee shops, I would consider hiring people who care about the customers. When I asked how long it would be before she would even look at me, she said, " 9 minutes." Then, she said I could get a matcha if I wanted to be out quickly. This is only for the 54th st Branch! Very dissappointed at 1 of the Barista who refused to allow reusable cup to be used.Never had this issue before, but 2 weeks ago a Barista denied my reusable cup and even informed all the other Barista this is a dirty process and they are not starbucks! And we should not take reusuable cups! Even implied who knows what germs is in there, i can get sick from it! This person can simply refused my cup, didnt have to make additional remarks, its more how the situation was handled, I felt VERY INSULTED.. First of all at least starbucks TRY to support sustainbality and less waste. Arabica doesnt even offer ceramic cups to be served, but I continued to support them by bringing my own cup (THROUGHLY WASHED). I was never denied before at any Arabica branches. Been a loyal customer since their 1st location opened in brooklyn, and they continue to take my reusable cup. Just went a few days ago no issues! I will never support this branch again. I work so close to this branch and will bring my coworkers there for afternoon break and will spend at least $16-20 a day there! i go almost every day can easily drop up to $70-80 a week at the branch... I vow to never go back to this branch. I will just need to make coffee runs to blue bottle now and get my .25 cent deduction for bringing my own cup!
