I have been shopping at Ralph's since for many decades. Some stores are better than othets. I used the ClickList a few times at this store. The only way I can afford to shop at Ralph's is to use digital coupons and get gas points. Ralph's also makes a donation to my favorite nonprofit. Apparently I did not get these benefitd at this store. We called to complain, and were told by manager AJ that we needed a new loyalty card. He added gas points for one transaction then told us we could pick up new card. No one at store knew anything. I trird again as the card should be okay online. I was not feeling well and decided to get home delivery. They use an outside service, Instacart. The delivery person dod not identify herself, got upset that she could not fond oarking, and msde my husband carry bags with his bad back, as she could not lift all the bags herself. A lot of my order was wrong or missing. She was not polite or professional since it was het job to deliver my order. I tried to complain online, but there is no record of my transaction. Ralphs or Instacart did not even provide a receipt, and I do mot want to ever use these services if they do not make things right. read more

Pros: + Store is huge + Usually a lot of cashiers working the checkout + Starbucks inside + Large deli section and salad bar + There is a RedBox located outside - yay for $1 movies! + The store manager here is helpful and sweet! Cons: - Parking lot (getting in, out and all around) - The occasional bums/loiterers - they are usually good about scooting them away. - Sometimes the craft beer section is lacking, at 5pm should it be missing a lot of stock? - Busy, busy -sometimes I can't even hear myself think. :( 3 Stars because, yes 'yeah it's A-OK'. I do frequent this location because the one closer to me (off Hazeltine & Ventura) is currently under construction/remodel. The staff are always helpful and friendly. However. Who ever is in charge of the layout of the store is not from the planet earth, or refuses to understand physics. The amount of cardboard displays, over packed aisles, end cap displays that jut halfway out into the aisles, the center islands that bottleneck the main aisles make it so unpleasant to try and navigate a shopping cart through the store that I abandoned my cart and went to Vons. There is not enough room to have more than one shopping cart in an aisle at one time. There is no way to pass by another cart with out colliding with the shelves or one of the cardboard display obstacles. I paid an extra ten dollars for my groceries at Vons, but I didn't have to climb over a mountain of clutter just to get a dozen eggs. I would very much like to know if there is someone that would actually listen to constructive criticism on this issue. This store is laid out and packed like a hoarders house. Shopping there is never a pleasant experience. read more

Regain control of your store. The homeless and solicitor acpect has gotten out of control. You are locking up coffee and deodorant in the liquor cabinets in the front. Bolster your security and keep your customers safe and secure. I had a guy screaming at me today that he was going to "earn that 25 cents" by loading my car. I told him no 5 times then to him to get the fuck away from me... Fun shopping experience. At a certain point this is on management. I go to this Ralph's because it's larger than the one on Coldwater and Magnolia. I am very tired of being harassed by individuals outside both entrances. I work as instacart, one of the person who works in the box called jaline was very rude, I made the line as appropriate, instacrt had a problem to make the payment and it was solved in less than two minutes, after she scanned everything I could I should have done the line again, it seemed to me that it was disrespectful since I had made the line, then he started shouting in front of everyone to make a report or whatever I wanted, I felt ashamed and sad at the same time , she made me feel like my job is rubbish and that I have no right to bother, if she doesn't like her job she should work in another place, a place where she is happy but not make people feel bad, I hope they fix that problem with that person read more

This Ralph's always has what I'm looking for. They usually have some kind of deals going on in the fish and meat department. Service is friendly and helpful. The shelves are stocked neatly and kept in good order. When I've ordered groceries to be delivered, they always come quickly. So today I was starving ( What's New Right? Lol ) and I really wanted a good Chicken Soup and a Sub, so I had to stop at this Ralph's to deposit some stuff into my Bank which is located right inside this store. I wasn't really down to drive around and spend more time as I was on my lunch break. So I decided to try their Deli and to be honest I wasn't expecting such a great sub from a Ralph's Supermarket, but indeed I did get one. Their chicken soup was okay not the greatest but not bad at all, the sub I vhose was their Oven Toasted Boarshead Turkey on a Wheat Roll, the meat was delicous ( as it always is with that brand of vold cuts ) the bread was delicoua, and all of the veggies from the lettuce to the cucumbers were crisp and perfectly fresh. They added some salt & pepper as well as some good italian oil mix they had. All in all this was so delicous, the price compared to a footlong subway sandwhich was a few bucks more, this was about 4" smaller than that but it was all worth the money. I have found a good spot for quick service, delicious fresh subs and decent soups. Very pleasantly surprised to the quality of their subs, will definitely go back and enjoy another style of meat. read more

I have never felt so neglected in any of my shopping experiences. First- I have been marketed to try the Ralphs app to download coupons. So I downloaded a few to get my lunch today. I was excited to try this feature to save a little money. I went to the self check out and plugged in my number and NONE of my coupons appeared. Second- after noticing my coupons didn't work I select the call attendant button. And I was left standing there with many other people staring at me like I was a big. Not one worker looked my way even when I attempted to flag someone down and loudly say "excuse me" to everyone walking by. Not one person was there to help or came to help. So I just left my items and exited the store. Third- After leaving the store, I call customer support to see if there was something I could do to get the app to work for me before I went back into a Ralphs location store. The lady said she couldn't do anything but will make a note that he app wasn't working for me...not one resolution. I'm very big on customer service and this was ridiculous. Ralphs marketed to me to use there broken app and this Ralphs location completely disregards their responsibility to customer service. Will not be returning here. read more

Very tiny location but for the interior design and the space that they have available for this business, they are keeping it as clean as they possibly can and organized. There are a rave of people stopping by here between 4PM-6PM who are trying to get in and out before they get home so be careful!! This is most likely one of the more user centric markets. They have a staff that is very friendly. They have a cheesemonger area that is quite inviting. A sushi section that is fine. A deli that offers Boars Head meats and salads for days. Also,an in house Starbucks just in case the one across the street is too rocking. Friendly checkers,baggers,stockers and any other person that works there with their title that ends in a S. Everyone seems to be eager to help you and I like me some of that. They don't have to do that. But they do. They do it to me and I expect they will do it to you. Enjoy. read more

Man- This Ralphs's SUCKS! Yesterday around 2pm the lines at the 2 open registers were so long that they completely clogged up the main traffic aisle spilling into the closest 4 regular aisles. Some guy in line starts to yell out "Come on! Open up some registers! How about some service!" The security guard (there to manage the homeless crowd) immediately came over to tell him to stop then a woman starts to yell "I gotta pick up my kids from school!" Just as the manager came over to open another line, a giant guy with sunglasses confronts her because he wants to return butter. The manager is reading the crumpled up receipt and aimlessly pushing buttons on the cash register. Needless to say, this was not a speedy transaction. She just seemed confused. I went to Ralph's the other evening and 90% of the workers were wearing their masks under their nose. Including the people bagging the groceries. I complained to the manager about how that is putting people at risk. He did not care and walked away from me. This was at 11pm. Also, there was no social distancing and they let everyone in, even children without masks. I was appalled. The attitude of the manager , and the fact that no precautions are taken during a pandemic where we go to buy food is disturbing. read more

Olga C in the pharmacy is by far the most informed and friendly person in this store. If there's an an employee of the month program she deserves February. She made me feel so much better about my situation and that's hard to do coming from someone with bad anxiety and a potential heart problem. She was very well informed and provided knowledge that the professional in thier fields could not. read more

As I was shopping during this crazy Corona virus scare...what did I see? An employee sneezing into a paper towel while restocking produce. When I brought this to the attention of the management stuff, they were unhelpful and unaware of a sick employee. Save yourself frustration and go less than a mile to the Ralphs at hazeltine/Ventura This Ralphs has let me down again and again, just went in on a Friday night with one, yes ONE, check out lane open... that line was from one end of he store to the other. Also it's puzzling to buy alcohol here ... the liquor is locked up in a cage- there is wine at much higher price points on open shelves?? I do t get it, it's a hassle for the customer, a hassle for the cashier - and a real inconvenience to somebody not buying alcohol in a long line while watching the one cashier on duty running around looking for keys to get into a cabinet for a 10 dollar bottle of booze! I'm not sure if these are franchised businesses or a one organization but this is the only one I've seen that has this practice, poor form- that's about the nicest way I can think to say it. read more

I come here often for lunch and to order from their "in store" Starbucks. Service in the Deli can get a little backed up at times, but its all in the luck of the draw. Yesterday i went in for lunch around 1pm and no one was in line so i was in and out. The Starbucks here is usually empty because everyone is in line at the one across the street. Suckers! read more

Came in this afternoon after work, and was in need for veggies & fruits! I approach the produce department and was greeted by JOSE V. He is always such a nice gentleman. I ask him for some green beans.. And went out of his way to bring some from the back. I asked about the apples and he gave me a sample, since i asked for it. He made me take about 4 pounds of apples!! Which I've already cut up and added peanut butter! :) I'm one happy gal! The cashiers are always so friendly and nice! They make customers feel like family! There is never more than 3 customers in line. Which makes the trip to the market fast and convenient. read more

I'm grateful for the Ralph's at both the Burbank Blvd/ Van Nuys Blvd and Ventura Blvd in Sherman Oaks. During these uncertain times both locations have maintained their standards of clean and organized shelves, friendly and helpful staff, and thoughtful efficiency. Although, our Ralphs experiences have always been nice bc it brings normalcy, we plan on taking advantage of their Pick Up and Delivery options bc I believe it will HELP THEM in keeping our neighborhood together. Very poor customer service. Jelena P. (cashier) was very rude. I accidentally gave her the wrong credit card, i apologized and asked her to refund me my money, she said she could not do it, so i asked for the manager and she gave me an attitude. She called some one else to void the transaction and she tod me that she will void the transaction only this time but she cannot do it again. Jelena (cashier) re- rang a few things and i paid with the right credit card but she still gave me an attitude. When i got home i called Ralphs market and spoked to the manager regarding the issue and he said that he was going to talk to all of his employees. "Don't you wonder sometimes why customers go off and do crazy things". Other times the cashiers did not want to give me my change after i purchased my groceries. The cashier said that she can credit the change to my ralphs card. I said to her that i wanted my change and she gave me an attitude. The vegetables have looked better but that's not my concern upon check out I was told by Tina I could not use the self check out because I had beer and she rudely pushed me towards another checkout line that was very long. I had to wait a very long time to check out my little bit of groceries all because Tina didn't feel like working today. On top of that after waiting in the line when I got to the new cashier his hands and nails were so disgusting I don't think I will be eating any of the fresh fruit he scanned with his hands. After searching for Hagen Daz Strawberry ice cream at four Ralph's locations(including this one), I noticed a common pattern at this location as well. Hardly any of the employees seem to really care about meeting customers' needs. They talk like they do but, in reality, they could give a shit! Same deal as the last location, I ask the associate to check the back stock, and he comes back telling me they don't have it. No rain checks, no re-orders, no re-stock. Absolutely nothing! Whoever runs the store hours on yelp and apple maps needs to be fired because it always says they close at 2am when they either close at 12am or 1am every night, but on Thanksgiving it said they closed at 10pm and reopened again at 12am until 2am. This Ralph's is terrible. Only used because of proximity. It's very dirty, parking is a nightmare, the inside, outside, and bathrooms are always dirty. They recently started locking up almost everything, so if you want something like deodorant you have to wait, and it's normally what's not advertised. They definitely need more employees and new management, because it's always too crowded and there are never enough lanes open. Especially when express won't take alcohol. read more

Because of the restrooms, this place is the worst Ralph's to go to. I can't focus and shop when i have to pee, so i went to the restrooms that are Unisex (which is fine) but they smelled of Urine, there was urine all over the floor, toilet paper all over the floor, it was just so disgusting. I get it, they're trying to do the whole equal unisex thing for the bathrooms but at least clean them properly! It was so disgusting that i literally left my food that i had in my basket there and just left the store. I will never come back to this location again. Filthy. read more
