After reading several great reviews for this place, my family decided to try it. We were excited to get a great Italian meal! I'm sorry to say we were sorely disappointed. The building was old and outdated, with dingy, dim lighting. Our drinks were served in old 12 oz tumblers. Dinner included salad and bread. The salad was a bowl of lettuce with a cherry tomato. The bread was garlic toast from a box. When the entrees came, they looked decent. I still had hope. But it only took one bite to discover that the food was completely bland with no flavor. I am not even sure they used garlic, and its an Italian restaurant!! I would encourage someone looking for good Italian food in Myrtle Beach to try somewhere- anywhere - else! My husband and I love this place! It is our favorite Italian restaurant. Anything we have ordered has been excellent! The owner usually is at the door to greet you and seat you. The staff is friendly and pleasant. We always bring friends here to eat that are from out of town and everyone has always enjoyed it. We have never been disappointed. read more

The best marinara I've ever eaten. Garlic bread was so buttery and garlicky, so yummy. Hubby had the pizza and thought it was amazing. Son had steak and it was incredible. Don't wasted your time here. THE ONLY GOOD REVIEWS WRITTEN HERE ARE FROM THE STAFF OF THIS PLACE. This was one of the worst places I've ever eaten. The salad was served with little dressing packets. It looked like someone grabbed lettuce that fell on the floor and threw it in a cheap plastic plate. I ordered a steak and it was served so rare it looked like they didn't even throw it on the grill. I had the Neptune Veal dish which is veal with shrimp and scallops in a Bernaise sauce. This was the best veal I have had in years since I worked in New York. I actually pushed the shrimp and scallops aside to enjoy the perfectly cooked veal. My wife had the lasagna and it was perfectly layered with meat and sauce. The service was great and we never had to ask for refills or want for anything. We plan on going back soon to try some other seafood and beef dishes. read more

At the end of our very good meal, the server gave us her hand written "order card" that I guess they give to the cooks. They added up the total of the food and put a subtotal on the paper and then underneath it they put the letter G and added in a 18% gratuity and then the tax and then the total. Nowhere on the card was anything about the gratuity that was already added into the total. I asked the owner, what the "G" was and she said that was the 18% gratuity. I said no one told me that you were adding an 18% gratuity. She said "it's on the menu." I said "where?" She showed me on the menu on the left bottom page it says "for parties of four or more is automatically added an 18% gratuity." I bet many people never read that. They also gave me the credit card receipt which had the total of the bill and then had a new line for a tip and had 15, 18, 20 and 30% gratuity totals for my enjoyment. It was good service, except when i ordered the pepperoni pizza - I definitely wasn't expecting to get an entire 8 sliced pizza! Which okay, that wasn't their fault, and I'm not complaining about that either. But the pizza was kind of hard. Maybe a little over done? I'm not too sure. Her tables were sprawled out all over the restaurant but she did her best and always greeted me with a smile! I ordered the special, pork osso bucco Milanese with fettuccine Alfredo! The meal came with garlic bread and salad. This was the garlic bread like you eat with spaghetti but it was hot and fresh out of the oven. The salad is a house salad with a tomato and a cucumber slice. My meal wasn't as hot as I would like but it made up for that in taste. The osso bucco was fall off the bone tender. The presentation was pretty! The fettuccine Alfredo was less than spectacular so I mixed it with the osso bucco sauce...good choice! Lol! Great value at a great price, everyone was nice, patrons seemed pleased and smiling, and the deliciousness of the osso bucco gave this a four star experience for me! Very good food and the young lady that recommended the chicken piccata good call. Son had the scampi, kid's mother strip steak, and daughter chicken parm. We started with the Antipasto which was also quite good and all the greens very fresh. Our server was pleasant and attentive and made dinner very enjoyable. Did not have to ask once for refills. We are on vaca and read the reviews online and figured we'd try it out. Right as we walked in, they sat us down ( roughly 7:00pm) The staff is very friendly and accommodating as well. We wanted to leave our vacation with a nice dinner, and ended up here again, and they did not disappoint: Campari with OJ, Caesar salad and Tournedos Sauce Bearnaise were absolutely fantastic, and the filet was probably the best piece of meat I ever had. The shrimp and scallops were succulent as well, the baked potatoes with salt were tasty, and the veggies sauted and well seasoned. Went here with my boyfriend for dinner. The horrible experience began the moment we walked in. There was a line to be seated, so we thought that we may have picked a good spot. What we didn't realize was that the line was due to the hostess' inability to move at more than a snails pace. She very carefully picked up menus and silverware as if they were an armed bomb, and then walked patrons to their tables as though she was leading a funeral procession. After waiting about 30 minutes to be seated (there were only about 5 people in front of us), our waitress came by, introduced herself and took our drink order. After we ordered two sodas she whispered something to another waitress, who brought us our drinks and continued to wait on us for the rest of the evening. Apparently we didn't look like the kind who would tip well, which was an incorrect assumption. I ordered spaghetti and meatballs and my boyfriend ordered the lasagna, due to the positive ratings the lasagna received on Yelp. Both contained meat that was cold in the middle, and my meatballs were still partially frozen. A dinner purchased in the freezer aisle of Walmart would have been more satisfying. If ambiance is an important part of your dining experience, that's one more strike against Ramando's. The lighting was poor (probably so you couldn't see your food) and it looked as though the decor had not been updated since the early 90s (and not the good 90s). But, if you want to learn how to mix drinks, Ramando's has you covered; each table comes with paper charts of popular cocktails and how to concoct them. Overall, if someone you really hate asks you for a dinner recommendation, send them to Ramando's - the best lasagna on the beach! read more

The food and the staff were really good, our waitress always had our cups full and was very sweet. The food is big portions so don't fill up on appetizers and garlic bread unless you plan on taking home leftovers. They have music softly playing in the background old music mostly frank Sinatra which I personally love. The only thing that I say was bad was my bf ordered a shrimp n crab mean pasta dish n the grab meat was Grey and tasted funky but all the other food was good. Was excited to come and eat after seeing the Yelp reviews. This is the first time they have let me down. This place is average at best. My house salad had one cucumber and one cherry tomato in it and was served just above room temperature. Seeing all of the mainly positive reviews, my party of three of us ate here for dinner and I can safely recommend you avoid this place unless you are truly looking for a mediocre, at best, Italian place that is stuck in the 1980's.The food is more expensive than most chain places, lower quality than almost every other Italian place I've been to, bland, and prepared/served as if it was the mid 80's. We also had the undue pleasure of having a waitress that just returned from a smoke break and she blew the smoke smell all over our table when she talked. I noticed that being the norm in the restaurants I visited in Myrtle Beach, but whatevs. The entrees we ordered all came with a salad and unlimited garlic bread, which in my opinion resembled and tasted like the Texas toast from the box. Fortunately the entrees were a different story. They were good. I mean really good. The whole time we were eating everyone kept commenting on how good the food was. I had the lasagna. Others in my party had the lasagna, baked ziti, and the spaghetti. All said their meals were very good.
