Average Italian fare and I'm admittedly very biased having grown up with a 1st generation Italian American mom who was a wonderful cook. The piece of veal in my veal picatta was top notch & cooked to perfection but it was overwhelmed by the heavy hand of the dry white vermouth I'm guessing was used in the sauce. If they used half the amount of alcohol and added another couple of of teaspoons of lemon juice, the dish would have been perfect. A couple of true slices of lemon instead of the pithy ends would have helped, too. The side of pasta was generous. My husband had the Fruti de Mare. Good amount of seafood. My family and I went to Ramando's last night for dinner. I was hesitant because some people have left some negative reviews but I'm here to tell you that this was the best meal I have had in a long time. Probably the very best Italian food I've ever had. I had the Chicken Ramandos and it was fabulous. My husband got the scallops and shrimp monray and it was also very good. My children got the kid's spaghetti and ravioli and they enjoyed it. I also got the tiramisu for dessert and it was delicious!! The complimentary garlic bread was also very good. We were warmly greeted. Our server was very attentive and kind. This was a stop for my family after enjoying Family Kingdom in the evening. We came here as it was on HWY 17 on our way back to the northern part of Myrtle where we were staying. First off, this place is a family owned Italian restaurant. My family (my wife & two 9yr olds) were greeted warmly and given a great table. We absolutely loved the old school drink recipes on the place mats underneath the glass on the table. (more on that later) Our server was very friendly, took our drink orders quickly and was back in a flash. We ordered a greek salad with salmon, chicken parmesan, and my son got pizza, and my daughter got the shrimp. After a very short wait, our food came out and was delicious. My son loved the fact that his children's menu pizza was huge! (he had gotten hosed the night before with a tiny slice at another restaurant). My wife's salad was massive and fresh, and my daughters shrimp dish came out perfect. Food tasted very good, chicken parm was on point, pasta tasted fresh. It was exactly what I expected. I had a bite of my son's pizza and it too was awesome. Tasted my wife's salad and it was indeed fresh. I highly recommend Ramando's. So I have it 4 stars because, while I didn't actually eat my food because I felt a little unwell before entering the restaurant, and decided to get my food togo. However my boyfriend absolutely loved his fisherman's pasta. Now I'm sure everyone reading the reviews have noticed that either people LOVED this place, or very much disliked it. Not a whole lot of inbetween. I think this was because some people really do not like their food that seasoned, and have not had truly authentic italian food. Keep in mind when reading reviews that people tend to only have 1 dish. They have not tried the whole menu. Now with that being said, considering that this Italian is 'America's' version, it was good for that. If you are looking for authentic Italian this is NOT it. You will have better quality at Olive Garden. The salad was iceberg lettuce with Italian dressing that was likely Wishbone from the bottle. The mushroom caps also tasted like they were marinated in wishbone dressing. The wine selection is on par with most of Myrtle Beach, which should be embarrassing. A great Italian restaurant should have great Italian wine. The pasta was cooked al dente, but the clam sauce was nothing special. Overall a mediocre experience for $90 and we split a entree. My biggest complaint is that they gave us the bill with a hand written in 18% tip. Luckily we noticed it. Then after giving them a credit card they presented a printed bill with options to add a tip from 10-20%. I'm sure many people don't notice and double tip. Don't be fooled! I found this place reading the other Yelp reviews and I am glad I went. The menu was excellent and it took me quite a long time to decide what I wanted. They had all the classics plus a large amount of seafood dishes and pizzas. My mother and I ordered the Calamari as an appetizer and for me that was just average. I would have preferred more tentacles and it was a little too chewy. For our entrees I had the Frutti Di Mare and my mother had the Lasagna. The Fruitti Di Mare is full of seafood and was delicious. We received a coupon from our hotel for a buy one get one free entree so we figured why not go eat some Italian. This place has a great location and the decor inside is amazing. It feels so Italian and there is so much to look at all over the restaurant. We ordered two pastas one was an Italian sausage pasta in a red marinara sauce, he added chicken to it and said it was delicious. The other pasta we ordered was the fettuccini romandos and that is a pasta made with crab meat and shrimp in an Alfredo sauce. When the food arrived it smelt amazing but unfortunately there was A LOT of shell on the crab still so every bite was a challenge, I didn't want to send it back because they were starting to get busy so I did my best to eat small bites when eating the crab because I didn't know if there would be a surprise shell or not (sooo much shell) overall this place has gorgeous and service was just fine. If you are looking for authentic Italian food in Myrtle Beach go to Ramando's! I had eaten at Ramando's years ago, and decided to stop in for dinner, and I am glad that I did. I remember having excellent eggplant parmesan when I first went out to diner, and it was some of the best that I have ever had. After reviewing the menu, and from speaking with my waiter Junior, I decided on the chicken parmesan. The food was served hot, was breaded perfectly and it could not have been cooked any better. Being an Italian from Boston, and a cook, I am very fussy about my food, especially Italian food. The sauce had great taste, and complimented the meal instead of taking over the meal. I was so impressed with my meal from Tuesday night, I am going back their tonight for dinner again. When you are in the mood for quality and authentic food please try Ramando's. Delicious! We stopped in tonight for a meet up with an old friend. We wound up here after another Italian spot in town told us a party of 5 was too big for them to accommodate on a Monday evening with no reservation (okay???). This place took our reservation gladly. We were seated promptly by a very polite hostess. The waitress was fantastic, the wine was delicious, and the food was perfection. They serve bread in baskets as a starter - nothing special, just garlic bread. We ordered the calamari which was seasoned well and the marinara for dipping was perfect. I got the chicken parm, which was breaded perfectly and not drowning in cheese like a lot of italian places like to serve it. My husband had the lasagna and cleaned his entire plate. The salads are dressed perfectly. I literally do not have a single complaint. The atmosphere was wonderful, the food was wonderful, the service was wonderful. We'll be back! read more

After searching around for something my family could agree on to eat after driving all day, we chose Italian. The building inside and out needs some major work and updating. It looked and felt very out dated. The decor is all over the place, Italian meets German Vikings from Texas. The menu has a variety to choose from and prices seemed average. I ordered the baked Tuscan ziti, which was Alfredo and marinara sauce with ziti and Parmesan and mozzarella cheese. The dish was a lot smaller than I am used to at my local Italian place, but that's not an issue. Just don't expect large portions. It was delicious, which I would recommend if you do end up eating there. My daughter ordered the fettuccini Alfredo and it was bland. My son ordered the spaghetti and marinara, which he said was ok. My husband ordered a basic Cesar salad, he said it was ok. The soft drinks are $2.99 ($.50 per refill), the glass was a 12 oz glass with extra ice. Now parties of 4 or more and 18% gratuity is added. Not sure why for such a small party, but ok. Well they add it then tax it. Maybe I am just spoiled having a lot of delicious, authentic Italian family restaurants back home, but I was not impressed. After looking at the menu in your website, it fits into our budget and we decided to give it a try, just to find the following dishonest practices: 1. price of grouper picata - this menu here is $16.95, menu given to us was $20.95; 2.price of ravioli - this menu here is $12.95, menu on site was 14.95; 3.A side order of sausage is $4, served only one sausage (half of a sausage?) 4.gratuity is added on party of 6/8 - this menu here, we are a party of 2 and gratuity is added?? 5.our interpretation of buy 1 get 1 free is - my order of grouper is 16.95, and my husband's order is 12.95+4= 16.95, so our bill should be: 16.95 + 2 beers (3.95x2) 7.9 = 24.85 before taxes and tip. 6.our check came out to be $46.72 We found that to be deceitful, dishonest and misrepresented. read more

My friends and I ate here in 2020. and remembered that the food was delicious. We decided to dine here because of the BOGO coupon we had and that they accepted 2 coupons per table. There was 4 of us dining on September 12. My friends enjoyed their Lasagna and Chicken Special dishes. However, the Veal Marsala and Veal Neptune Platter were VERY disappointing. Both of the veal dishes were heavily covered with sauce. While the portion of the veal was generous, the bottom of the veal was gummy and the breading was grossly undercooked. Only the edges of the veal were cooked and browned. My spouse and I barely ate our dishes. By the time we realized this situation, our friends had finished their dinner. First time to Myrtle Beach. Arrived at hotel Patricia Grand late afternoon. We were tired after driving all day, so ordered Italian food from Ramando's to be delivered by DoorDash. HORRIBLE food! I ordered linguini with clams. The clams were undercooked, if cooked at all, and smelled 'off'. Spit out the first bite and dumped it in the trash. My companion ordered the Ravioli Fiorno. It came with a long fine metal wire in the food. Unacceptable. It looked as though it might be from steel wool or something of that nature. Bread was stale and tough. Did not get the baked ravioli appetizer. When we called to notify merchant, was told that this had never happened before and we could come pick it up. They don't deliver, so we would need to take it up with DoorDash. Order for two people was over $60 (complimentary delivery from DoorDash and no drinks) and 90% of it went straight into the trash. The worst food I've ever had. Beware! Try somewhere else. We saw the great reviews and thought the menu looked good, but it's now after 10:00, we're hungry and going to sleep until breakfast. read more
