This place is tucked deep into the Simi mall and was kind of hard to find. Walked in and it seemed like the place wasn't open, as there wasn't a cashier or anyone in the store. Once we rang the bell, the lady was very nice. There are no fountain drinks, only cans of soda and bottles of water/gatorade. The food was good, not as spicy as advertised (I got the medium and felt as if it was mild). The chicken and fries were made fresh and were steaming hot. The sauce was very similar to Cane's sauce but with a little more spice. Overall, a solid option for a hot chicken sandwich place but not the most accessible location

Completely empty, worker was sitting down on her phone when I walked in (understandable, it's slow!) but than seemed bothered that I came. Was like a robot, not even responding , after being cordial simply asking how her day has been. Over charged me according to prices listed on physical menu at restaurant, i.e adding cheese 99 cents per they charged me 3 dollars for two. Food seemed to just be sitting under a heat lamp or old and just got reheated? I could be completely wrong but it was very Dry lacked flavor, and the fries tasted like old oil. I've frequented MANY different hot chicken places, and see the similarities and how some places thrive more than others. Overall this place was TRASH. Service, GARBAGE. Worker, well... imma be kind and just say she should find where she's content.

Unfortunately not. 3 total stars for the following: 5 stars for facility Very clean and very well presentation. 4 stars for staff: Very friendly and inviting 3 stars for Food: Good prices. Unfortunately the chicken sandwich was not what I expected. Maybe I was expecting it to be howling rays? The chicken sandwiches were more like chicken strip sandwiches. The taste was good Will I come back again? Dont think so Come and give them a try. Perhaps your experience will be different

The food does not taste that great and not worth the money. Honestly the 2 times I have been there I was not very impressed. What they charge I would rather eat at Raising Cane's or Popeyes. Not worth it if you ask me. read more

The food was pretty good. The chicken was moist and not super greasy or breaded. The spice levels are very good. It was a little bit expensive for what you get. The service was good. The music playing was very inappropriate and way to loud. It was hot so we started indoors but then moved outside because of the music, I couldn't hear my husband talk & we had our daughter. read more

All I got to say is DAMN!!! This place knows how to put a grand opening. This is an amazing hot chicken place. Better than most of the franchises I've eaten at, as it has it own unique flavor and spice no place can match. I'll definitely be coming back again for more! read more

There are a lot of chicken places popping up. Some of them are not too good. Rambo's chicken is excellent. The staff is really super nice I'm very very patient on the phone when placing an order Rambo chicken is totally different than anything else that's out there I have only stayed in the mile But I'm soon going to elevate to try some more spices. I really feel like the owners care very much about their product. I highly recommend Rambo hot chicken read more

Do not sleep on this place. Everything here was great! Chicken crispy with Hot having the perfect kick to it. Bread was toasted perfect and buttered, not soggy. Fries were crispy. Sunny took my order and was very friendly. IMO much better than Dave's Hot Chicken. read more

My wife and I went today today to try the chicken for the 1st time. Unfortunately, as we walk in we were told that all the food was sold out, and no walk-in orders will be taken for the rest of the day. It was only 3:30pm, really? There was no signage outside to let anyone know, this was not a good 1st impression. I wish them well, maybe we'll get a chance to try once the hype is over. read more

One of the best hot chicken places I have been to. They have the nicest workers there and always deal with my big orders lol. Their service is immaculate. They also give me the best suggestions and are always doing their best not only with the food but making sure the customers are comfortable while waiting for their food. Had this place for first time and not impressed. Went in to order to go and they weren't even busy but still took long time. Seem very understaffed and seems the family itself does everything. A girl with very long hair untied kept going back into the kitchen. Anyone working around food with long hair should have hair tied or wear hair net. It's just gross! Doubt this place will last long. Doesn't compare to Dave's. read more

I came to Rambo's today for the second time in a week and it was great! I got the mild combo #2 today and the medium combo #2 yesterday and think the chicken could have used just a touch more seasoning but I will say the quality is A+. The sauce that comes with the meal also needs just a little bit more punch. The service was great and everyone was very helpful. Also the atmosphere of the place is awesome and you can tell they put a lot of work into opening this place up! read more

This is my second time coming here in a week once with my friends and again by myself and both times I've been pleasantly surprised at how great the food is my only complaint is that the medium is a little too hot even though I usually order the hot when I go to places like these in my opinion if you can't handle spice don't order more than than the medium but I suggest trying mild or no heat read more

Dear Hubby and I shared the #3 plate, which was one sandwich and one open-faced piece of chicken on a piece of Texas-style toast with a few pickle slices. It also came with a side of fries. We also added a side of rice (mistake - it was extremely bland and tasteless). Cole slaw might have been a better choice, and would have balanced the heat of the chicken. There were zero fountain beverages that I could enjoy. I don't drink caffeinated drinks, and I try to avoid copious amounts of sugar. I had water, and Dear Hubby got some root beer. The fries were quite delicious, and the amount provided was generous. That was a highlight of the meal, plus the dipping sauce for the chicken. The cashier was very friendly, so that was a plus and a good first impression. The interior restaurant space is really odd. They've laid it out so that two-tops are shoved up against one wall, and four-tops are shoved against the opposite wall, with an excessively large open space in the middle of the room. Seems like wasted space to me, and not visually interesting or welcoming. Farther across the room, away from the ordering stand and the kitchen, are several raised counters with barstools. DH and I ended up sitting at the end of one of those counter spots. We noted that there are other chicken spots very close by - Chick Fil-A, Zankou Chicken, Wing Stop, El Pollo Loco, this Angry Chickz place, and a Raising Cane's is going in to the spot previously occupied by Amy's. It's going to be chicken wars on two blocks of Moorpark Road!

She had the perfect balance that is honestly hard to find. She wasn't overly friendly or overbearing, but she also wasn't distant or robotic. She was simply genuine, attentive, calm, and incredibly thoughtful. Our table was a little chaotic at times. My mom accidentally spilled an entire glass of water all over the table, and Riley handled it with such grace and calmness that she immediately put everyone at ease. She never made us feel embarrassed or like we were inconveniencing her. Toward the end of the meal, my sister quietly snuck out because she didn't want anyone singing Happy Birthday to her, and my son went with her. Riley was so thoughtful that she packed up my son's ice cream (which we didn't even realize came with his meal) along with my sister's birthday sundae that we also didn't know was included. After going to Nashville I was so excited to have a hot chicken place here in Simi and it started great now it's truly gross and is not at all what it was when it first opened!
