This cafe is known for their coffee and baked goods. I love that they have iced coffee with coffee cubes. They have non dairy alternatives for you. They also have alot of drink options from teas to coffee. I love ordering an iced coffee with almond milk and hazelnut. They also have Sugar free syrups if you're trying to be healthier. The baked goods are always a hit. They have some vegan and GF cookies I believe. The cakes here are always so good. I loved the champagne with raspberry cake. I have ordered from their catering service for a large party. The meatballs were a hit. Their charcuterie boards are always amazing and very pretty. The baked goods are delicious too. If you're looking for lunch they do have some pre made sandwiches in their fridge section for a fast grab and go. Their breakfast burritos are really good too. The ambiance and seating is great. I really want to like this place, I've eaten here a few times and it's usually good. Unfortunately the last time I went was awful and the experience probably put me off going here ever again. I went for lunch on a weekend, found a nice table we ordered. I got a Kale salad, ice tea and that chocolate torte thing. The total? $31! The salad was $20. Then after I paid they said it would be 20 minutes. I asked about my drink and they said it would be up in 5. I'm sorry why does it take 5 minutes to pour ice tea into a glass? About 10 later my salad arrived... I asked for the ice tea... which I did eventually get. The kale salad was honestly one of the worst salads I've ever had. Kale in a salad should be cut up very small and / or the dressing needs to coat the leaves. I think everyone who's eaten kale knows it's all in how you prepare it. Big chunks with little dressing is ick. It had nuts and apples. Would have been better with spinach. I honestly tired to eat it, but it wasn't good. The dressing wasn't good and it just didn't go together at all. I should have got up and asked for something else... but I was trying to catch up with an old friend. When I asked for my money back they weren't super accommodating. I had to ask 2 different people, she went to talk to "someone in the back" and came back to tell me same thing. Gift card for the price and that's it. Which forces me to come back. Worst salad ever. I couldn't wait to get out of there. The chocolate torte thing is amazing. Really it could be 1/4 of the size, but it's very tasty. Also you should have lemonade, it's delicious with ice tea. This is a warning to not go to this bakery. I've gone 3 times and every time the staff is rude and slow. The final straw was I ordered an over priced birthday cake for myself ($70) and they forgot to make it. Again, THEY FORGOT TO MAKE A $70 CAKE ORDERED 2 DAYS IN ADVANCE. When I went to pick it up, the staff was very unfriendly. Not just busy, but curt and outright rude. They looked for the cake for 15 minutes, making me late to work. Then they said come back later in the day. I went to work, came back and the "manager" had the social skills of slug. He counted out the cash to refund me and when I was walking away he said "don't forget your 50 cents". Really?! Rude staff, slow service, they forgot to make a birthday cake (they're a bakery?!!!) and all the guy said was don't forget your 50 cents. I got mad and he acted like I was crazy. Again. They took $70 and just decided to not do the order. And I'm rude because I entrusted them to make my cakefor a work birthday party and all my coworkers were not happy. BTW I made sure they all knew Ramones did the crime. What a horrible, horrible HORRIBLE thing to experience on my birthday. The thing that upsets me the most is I could have gone to SAFEWAY and paid a third of the price on a cake twice the size. I thought I was supporting a community business. What a mistake that was. There's no fire in the bellies of this establishment, they don't care about locals. Just rude and absolutely incompetent. Never will I go here again I'll just go to Safeway. We spent 60 min and 80 dollars for take out breakfast. All the food and drinks were good but if I would've known ahead of time how long it would take, I would've gone elsewhere. We ordered multiple items: two breakfast sandwiches, two breakfast burritos, Thai waffles, two coffees, and an apple pie. The pie and coffees were ready right away. The rest of the food took close to 30 min to come out. They have lots of people working. I saw at least 7 people but most are focused on refilling the glass cases with pastries or making espresso drinks. Everyone that ordered after us got their food first (more than 10 orders). Admittedly some of them may not have ordered hot food but it added to the frustration of waiting. When I checked the bag (thankfully) before we left I realized they had forgotten one of the breakfast sandwiches. Apparently the person who took our order only put one of the two sandwiches in. We even corrected this when he read back the order but he was clearly confused by us ordering two of the same thing and only included one. So now my coffee has been in my hand for 30 min (can't drink bc of Covid and I'm waiting inside) and now the food that was correctly put in is getting cold. I have to flag someone down to tell them my order is missing something. I ask him to put in the order and I walk over to pay. He then tells me that they're out of croissants now (after 35 min of waiting, they likely had croissants when we first ordered). When I tell him we'll take a bagel, he says "with what on it?" I'm so annoyed at this point. I obviously wanted the sandwich we ordered! It took 15 min to get the final sandwich after the back and forth of the croissant and bagel. I'll note that I never got an apology or offer of good will for waiting an hour for food or for the person at the register's mistake, until I finally got the sandwich and walked out. "Sorry for the mistake." I asked for another coffee because at this point it was not hot. They did it, but looked annoyed at the request. We spent a ton of money and I tipped $10 on the original order of $59 for take out. Then the final sandwich was over $8. I don't need you to do anything other than get my order right and be polite. No one was outright rude or anything but I think they should have admitted their mistake and offered something to fix the mistake. They acted as though I messed up and they were just helping me fix my own mistake. Also, even without the mistake it was too long for some basic food. They're getting three stars for the food because it was tasty (although most of it was cold). I think this place is probably a good place and I don't want to be totally negative and nasty about it. But I certainly wouldn't come here for take out again and would triple check that the person taking the order is getting it accurately. read more

The wait for food was quite long though, for a steak salad esp. My coworker had finished her sandwich and side salad before mine came out. Anyways, onto what I actually had... I stopped in to get a gift card and decided to try their cafe mocha, well the young lady asked for my order, I said: May I have a cafe mocha, her response was a look of disgust and purposeful confusion, she said: A what? A cafe what? I repeated: a cafe mocha? Her face gave me a look of confusion looking at her co worker. I was like ok? So I said: a mocha.......then she was said: ohh ok. She made feel like I was a huge inconvenience and was annoyed that I wanted anything. Not sure what I did wrong but I will go else where. While standing there waiting on my order they are great at calling regulars their names, greeting them or hollering good-byes. Those who are not feel insignificant. I keep my business local because I believe in investing in my community. As a native to this area, it's important. This location has lost my business. Not photographed: the literal best tuna melt on a gluten free roll, portobello focaccia sandwich, and the yummiest GF chocolate mouse I've had on the west coast. I can't remember that last time I was at a bakery that has this many gluten free options. While their baked goods menu changes regularly, there are always plenty of options to choose from! Ramones on Harrison is a great place for a glass of wine and a snack! It gets very loud and crowded inside seemingly at all times of the day, but if you can find a spot on the patio outside, the setting is lovely. Prices are a bit high for alcohol (~$14 for a glass of red wine), but the quality of everything is excellent. Everyone working here has been very nice, even when things get hectic and busy. I especially recommend the meat and cheese platter - It is a steal at ~$16 since it makes an elegant light lunch for 2 people! read more

The cafe is comfortable, with plenty of space, wood chairs, not obnoxious or loud music, and a steady stream of patrons, at 8am, and mellow decor. The only negative is the lack of parking. I get it because of the location. It's because of the location that this place is awesome being so close to the hospital and clinics.
