Okay.... where do I even begin?! We stopped at Ramones multiple times during our road trip on the 101 and it did not disappoint!! For starters, they made the BEST cappuccino I've ever had! I bought a bag of their espresso beans and wow. I need to find a way to get more because I'm not sure I can ever drink another coffee again! We had breakfast here two mornings and I had an omelette one morning and Chia pudding another. I really enjoyed the Chia pudding! Their pastries are also unreal! I took home extra baklava because it is not something you can find very often. It was a real treat. They also make homemade sourdough bread and sell it by the loaf. While I was taking home everything else I couldn't not take home bread. The only thing I didn't enjoy was the cheesecake. I couldn't tell you what it was; I just wasn't a fan. I can't wait to take another road trip so we can come back to Ramones! read more

I was visiting friends in Eureka and they brought me here, I'm so glad they did. The place was decorated for Christmas, they had some really cute decorations. This place has great coffee, and all kinds too, I got a Mexican Mocha that was delicious. I also got a chocolate chip cookie that was huge and it was really good. They have a big case of baked goods, cinnamon rolls, cookies, scones, cakes, you name it. It's a beautiful cafe that has two sections, one where you first walk in and order and to your right there are two brick archways that lead to a bigger seating area with a lot of tables. They had local artwork displayed in the bigger seating room which was neat. We hung out outside on the parklet, which is an outdoor seating area what used to be a street parking spot. The parklet looked pretty new and it was nice out so it was great. I'm not sure if they usually have seating out but that day they didn't, maybe because it looked like it was going to rain? I will definitely be coming to Ramones on my next visit to Eureka. read more

Great local bakery store and restaurant in town. I still here whenever I'm over in the hospital district, usually to grab a cup of coffee and a pastry. The place is often very busy, and sometimes in the mornings the line is to the door. We have ordered several cakes for various occassions and they have all been amazingly fresh, delicious and worth taking the time to order. I really enjoyed this place. They have a very big menu and lots of coffee options. I got the September special, the lavender honey iced coffee and it was EXCELLENT! The barista was super friendly and made a great coffee. I got the eggs Benedict-very tasty. We sat outside and enjoyed brunch under the pergola. Ramones is my favorite! I love all of the baked goods, the coffee is always delicious, and their full menu is also very good.

This place has a good selection of beers, coffee, and pastries!! Stopped here by on my way to Oregon since our typical spot (near the waterfront) is temporarily closed. I like that the pastries are not too sweet and taste home made. During the COVID-19 pandemic they were super cautious. Had used and clean pens, signage everywhere, and plenty of outdoors seating (~7 single tables). read more

I really like their salads and bakery goods. People seem to think it's a wonderful go to place where I'm always pleasantly surprised by a new delicious favorite cookie. Had they told me when I order they didn't have proper to-go containers I would have given them one of mine or changed my order. I paid $21.50 for squash, zucchini and maybe 3 pieces of broccoli. Food is very tasty. I have ordered a variety of items from this place and have not been dissatisfied yet. The staff are friendly. My only complaint is that the wait time from ordering to receiving the food can be longer than expected. With that being said I will gladly wait a little longer for delicious quality food. Delicious desserts served here. The last few days I've had a hankering for some sweets and remember seeing Ramone's here on Harrison St. So, I stopped in for a treat and was pretty thrilled that they had such a great selection! I snagged a personal berry pie and a huge cinnamon roll and both of them were amazing. So much so I went back and grabbed a few more desserts. A slice of cherry pie, a brownie, a lemon bar, a chocolate dipped cookie. All of them were delicious but the lemon bar was out of this world good. Needless to say I wound up feeling very fat that night with all the yummies in my tummy. Lol But needless to say I would do it again in a heartbeat... and I will! LOL There lots of other things served up here like sandwiches and salads and I have to think by the constant flow of people that there's something to it- so that's on my list to try. I picked up the marbled cake with butter cream icing. The cake has no flavor. Also the cake was put into too small of a box so the lid messed up the writing. The last 2 cakes I ordered were the chocolate cake with chocolate ganache frosting which is amazing. The problem is the cake decorating is lacking. Fake flowers that are super ugly and the color of icing used was not what I ordered. I paid for the marbled cake which was my birthday cake and yes it's OK to pay for your own cake. I think the employees think differently and let me know this. Not great customer service. read more

We came for breakfast on our way out of town after visiting family and had Apple Pandowdy, Christmas Morning hot chocolate turned into a latte, a light roast coffee, Apple Hash, and the pesto breakfast sandwich special (egg, gruyere, tomato, on a croissant - comes with bacon but I had them hold it). Everything was delicious! The apple pandowdy was sweet but not overly sweet, latte was delicious, breakfast sandwich blew the apple hash out of the water. As a Humboldt native, Ramones has always been where I go to satisfy my sweet tooth! I love love love their champagne raspberry cake, any excuse to buy one and I'll do it. Sometimes I don't need an excuse at all and I'll buy one for fun. They have a huge selection to chose from of baked goods but they also have dinner here! I love their little pizzas, they are so good. I had not tried this place until recently and it is a nice cafe/restaurant. I had avoided because the other locations were lacking but I think the restaurant here goes above. The menu is tweaked seasonally it seems so it's hard when you like something. I like their garden house salad, I had first tried it with a citrus ginger balsamic and they switched the dressing options. Their burgers are good too and I like going for their deli sandwiches when in a pinch. It is a nice place to have a meal and chat with a friend or have a meal and work on some things. First experience was not good at all!!! I have been to the Ramones at the Ace hardware before and usually grab a doughnut on the way out. I drove past this location on my way back from the skate park and decided to stop In for a doughnut. The middle age Hispanic lady made me feel like an idiot for trying to order the donut I usually get at the other location and then proceeded to talk down to me like I was a child or something for trying to order a donut. Apparently ordering just a bagel wasn't good enough for her and she showed it very clearly in her comments/laughter and body language. I have never had a more awkward breakfast experience. The bagel they brought was the wrong flavor and it was not toasted. I ordered a warmed blackberry pie at the second location. My order was taken by several people and apparently none of the specifics were relayed: pie was not heated and I was asked by the person who brought out the pie if I wanted whipped cream for a second time. All in all, I've had a couple positive experiences here, but recently I have not been impressed with the customer service and actual food. read more

Definitely don't go here for a wedding cake or catering for any type of special event. I have to agree with the unfriendly staff and terrible service. My fiance and I had arranged a wedding cake consultation with Hannah only to arrive and learn she wasn't even there and never bothered to call and cancel. Good food and good service. Very good chocolate croissant. Waiting for coffee took mask down just for a second while taking a bite of croissant. I was completely alone on one side of the restaurant. Girl who just loudly said she hates being stared at suddenly became mean school master and sternly told me to keep my mask on as she stood with two other servers behind the counter staring at customers. I love this place normally. I've been eating here every morning of my trip up here. But today my avocado toast came with no avocado. They thought the proper solution was to put some poorly sliced avocado in the box after I told them it was missing. By the time I ate my breakfast the egg was cold.
