I hate to leave bad reviews but I would not recommend this restaurant. My brother and I ordered 2 turkey club sandwiches with fries and 2 Snapple ice teas. The total came out to roughly $33.00. At first we were kinda shocked by the price, but we figured if the food was good then it's reasonable. However, upon receiving our food I could barely finish a quarter of my sandwich it was that awful. The turkey was grey and looked like the kind of meat found in lunchables. My onion rings were greasy and gross, the bread, lettuce and tomatoes were all bad quality. I'm just really upset about eating here, especially because I spent close to 20 dollars on a awful sandwich. Would recommend getting a quarter pound dog and a big gulp next door at 7/11 instead. read more

Stopped for breakfast yesterday early AM just after they opened. I was expecting more based on Yelp reviews, but of course opinions vary. First off, the lady server was nice and friendly and offered coffee right after i was seated. So far so good. There were a few other patrons there but it was not crowded yet probably since it was early on a Sunday. I ordered the biscuits and gravy/eggs combo and a side of hash browns since their home fries come with bell peppers-yuk! Coffee was hot and fresh, and the orange juice was fresh also. Here is where it starts to get iffy: My order was not exotic at all, just basic diner breakfast. However, it was a very long wait (22 minutes) from order to receipt of food. For a hot line service kitchen which was not that busy, this is too long. The server kept refreshing coffee, but i had time to clear all my texts and emails for the day while waiting for food. The food came hot and done correctly, but there were some issues: Bacon was extremely salty and borderline inedible and looked like it had been reheated several times. The gravy for the biscuits was advertised as home made and perhaps it was, since it was tasty and unique however it was salty as well. Finally the biscuits were poor. Had the 22 minutes wait for the food involved making scratch and yummy biscuits, this would have been a much better review. However, the biscuits themselves were the pre-made dough slabs that Smart and Final sells in the frozen food section, and hence virtually tasteless. For $20 plus tip, this was not a good value. I will not return. read more

We stumbled across this restaurant after a beautiful Sunday drive in the Angeles National Forest, and a lovely visit at the Wildlife Way Station. We ordered from the Ethiopian menu and the food was delicious! We had the vegetarian dish as well as the special Ethiopian spicy chicken dish. Topped it off with warm peach cobbler a la mode. So Rey orders CFS and as usual it is delicious. For me I'm going for some Ethiopian cuisine. Fir Fir, man was that awesomely tasty. I highly recommend everyone try it one time even if you have to share it. I recommended they put it in a burrito skin and serve it that way and asked her if she would do that for me. She said yes and said her daughter had recommended the same thing. Can't wait for our next visit next weekend. This place is a hidden jam. It wasn't crowded at all when we went there. The inside of the restaurant is super cute! It's got southern, mid western atmosphere. They have nice wall painting and decoration. It makes you feel like you're somewhere else away from the city. Food is also good! Biscuit and Gravy is my favorite! This was my teenage workplace, I waitressed on the weekends for about a year when I was 16. My family and I been coming here for years and still come to this day. Their food is always good and their service is great. It's actually a family own restaurant and I love them all. The cooks still remember me and are always so pleased when I stop in for some grub. It's kind of hard to review a restaurant in which the waiter is less enthusiastic about the food than I was. I walked in during a Tuesday afternoon and it was empty....barren....desolate. The menu has a large selection of foods----breakfast, omelettes, burritos, salads, burgers, and sandwiches. However, the ingredients used in each one of these meals is not varied or creative. They stick to avocados, tomatoes, and cucumbers for almost everything. My friend ordered the Philly Cheese Steak sandwich which came out looking more like a haphazard McDonald's cheeseburger. Apparently, all the flavor of bell peppers, cheddar cheese, and steak was completely lacking. I ordered the Cashew Chicken Salad and was pleasantly surprised. The cashews & chicken had been muddled into a ball in the center of the bed of leafy greens. Three cucumbers, one hard-boiled egg, tomatoes, and poppy-seed dressing blended well together. This is a great mom and pop place. The owner is wonderful and already remembers you on your second visit. The food is way better than any Denny's or IHOP and you get much more for your $.
