Oh beautiful new little Mexican restaurant in my neighborhood! Sadly, it wasn't my cup of tea. There was a lot of onions in the chilaquiles. The beans were delicious. The potatoes I think were a little old and my eggs were cooked to perfection. I was not a fan of the chips. There was a weird taste to it. Have been waiting for this location to open and have been here twice now. First time I got camarones a la diabla and it was delicious. This time I got the shrimp enchiladas with no beans. I've found my new favorite Mexican food restaurant! We almost left because it looked really crowded but the people coming out told us how good it was so we stayed and I'm so glad we did. The shrimp flautas appetizer was something I had never seen before so we tried it and loved it. We tried multiple items on the menu including Molcajetes, white enchiladas, tacos, tamales and everything was seasoned to perfection and cooked perfectly. The rice and beans were excellent as well. Party of 4 looking for place to have breakfast on Sunday morning around 11am without an hour wait, this place had no wait, walked in and got seated! It's a full Mexican restaurant which your able to order from their large regular menu, HOWEVER, if you want breakfast you can ask for the breakfast menu and the Mon - Sat lunch specials are in the backside. The best part of the breakfast menu was the price, everything was $9.95!! Don't find these prices anymore, we were so grateful! The breakfast plates come with good size portion of food, no skimping around. Highly recommend for breakfast and I'll be back to try the lunch specials too! Food is good and tasty! We sat there for the longest time never checked on, I had to wave someone down for a box then wave down someone for the check, one server was too busy watching tv and talking to the host and another server, our guy server was MIA. If there were 10 stars that's what I would give! There aren't enough words to explain how amazing this restaurant is. From the moment you walk in, to the time you leave you are greeted with smiles and a few "Thank You's" for coming in. The food is AWESOME! There isn't anything we've had that wasn't delicious!! And the drinks....please another GOLD star! Chuy, is freaking amazing. He makes the best drinks; Pineapple Kamikazees (my fave) and Tamarindo drinks, just to name 2. Newly opened in the new shopping center at Panama Ln., and Ash Rd., and recently reviewed by Pete Tittle of the Bakersfield Californian, this is a great addition to the neighborhood. We have visited twice and are impressed by the food. The flavors explode, nothing bland to see here. The sauces are very rich, with bold flavors, and very large portions. Our waiter Chico was prompt, professional, and friendly, he couldn't have done a better job. My only small complaint is the chairs, while they look beautiful a little padding would be nice. Service is very poorly when it comes to colored people. To say the least the manager is racist. He gave everyone at the bar (that was white) a shot he skipped over me and one of my coworkers that are Mexican and gave my white coworker a shot. And he made it clear it was on the house.
