I figured it was just another iteration of the original (now long gone) Squeeze Inn in Sacramento, and I was right. I don't think the various locations are franchises, but are more likely independently owned, and the quality varies from location to location. The one that used to be in West Sac, for instance, was terrible, which might explain why it's been gone for years. And the mid-town was also a resounding MEH, and also gone. There's nothing at any version of Squeeze Inn/Burger that I want more than just a basic Squeeze (or in this case, SQZ) with Cheese, though. I don't want a taco, nor a BLT, and especially not chicken strips. I want that which made the brand famous. A cheeseburger with all the traditional toppings and a cheese skirt just dripping cheese grease off it. SQZ Burger delivers the goods. The cheese skirt was just the right size, not too big, not too small. At one point in my life I would have said that there's no such thing as a cheese skirt that's too big, but a couple of years ago I had a cheese skirt that was so big that I felt sick afterward from all the cheese grease! In addition to the just right amount of cheese, the burger had lettuce, tomato, pickles, red onion, and a healthy schmear of mayo and mustard. Damn near a perfect burger. The owner was running the register on my visit, and when she brought my food out, she asked if I wanted a side of ranch. I'm the kind of guy who would drink ranch dressing if I could, so of course I accepted. I didn't even ask - It was nice of her to offer! There's a throughline from the original Squeeze Inn on Power Inn Road to SQZ Burger, too. The father of the husband half of the H/W ownership team owned the original location. Brandon and Katie ran the Galt location for several years, and have now brought the goodness to a Lodi brick and mortar spot. I'll definitely be back.

I had the western bacon cheeseburger with fries and a strawberry shake. These burger was full of flavor and BIG! Not sure exactly how they make their fries, but they're amazing. And my strawberry shake was good also. We had about 45 people all land at the same time, and SQZ was able to quickly get us all served in short order. I do love the vibe of both SQZ & IDOL. It was a nice little drive both ways with an epic food stop in between.

The hash browns were a bit undercooked and the potatoes just tasted a bit off. Not in a spoiled way, just not high quality potatoes. The eggs were fine. We ordered a Strawberry Tart for dessert. The hallmark of Nations. Terrible, just terrible. The crust was soft and soggy. The strawberries were mushy and the whipped cream tasted old. After our meal, the shift lead asked if our meal was okay and if we didn't mind to leave a review. "Are you sure you want me to do that ?" Sorry Lodi, I will not be coming back here.

The pancakes!!! I would love to know how to make their pancakes. Then, the chicken and waffles are something out of this world. We've been back since Mothers Day brunch and been there weekly. The chicken is flavored perfectly and has the best crunch and is juicy. Not dry like other places. The service is perfect since staff is friendly, attentive, and caring. The new owner is so nice. I did not even know that they are new until he greeted us. The vibe in the restaurant is also nice where we are comfortable and enjoy our meals. We will be back again this weekend and can't wait. This is now our go to for brunch. Someone said that they are going to have dinners, can't wait to see what they have. The ambiance is perfect where we did not feel rushed. There were some customers that were just impatient but that's on them. It's not a fast food place. It's a place to enjoy meals with loved ones. The wait by the way for us was 10 minutes on a busy holiday weekend like mothers day and fathers day. read more

I recently visited Denis' Country Kitchen in Lodi, CA, and I had a fantastic experience. I ordered the Veggie Garden Omelette with Country Potatoes and Delicious French Toast, and everything was absolutely delicious. The omelette was packed with fresh veggies and cooked to perfection, and the country potatoes were crispy on the outside and fluffy on the inside. And don't even get me started on the French toast -- it was hands down the best I've ever had. The bread was thick and fluffy, and the cinnamon and sugar topping was heavenly. But the food wasn't the only thing that impressed me about Denis' Country Kitchen. The service was top notch too. The staff was friendly and attentive, and they went out of their way to make sure I had everything I needed. Overall, I highly recommend Denis' Country Kitchen to anyone in the Lodi area. The food is delicious, the service is excellent, and the prices are very reasonable. I can't wait to go back and try more of their menu items! read more

Denis' country kitchen is amazing, i am originally from the lodi area but i live in san francisco now. We all know San Fran is the king of good food, yet i have yet to find a breakfast place as good as denis' country kitchen. They make the best eggs benny ive ever had, cooked to perfection every single time.. As for the prices, the rest of you guys are crazy because they are actually cheaper then Ihop, if you ac tually took the time to compare...which i did. I was hungry one morning so I got out of the house and looked for a place to have good breakfast. Stumbled with Denis' so I had no choice but to check it out. Ordered their Ultimate Omelet for $15.99 and man, it deserves the title "ULTIMATE"! The taste was great and I loved it. Also, I got their Original Greek Salad which costs $11.49 and it is also good! The items on their menu are a bit pricey but I tasted their food and I could say it was money well spent. The place has a nice atmosphere and the staff are always smiling. I come here pretty often and each time I'm never disappointed. They have an awesome breakfast menu. Recently I've tried their California burger, I think that's the name. It too was really good and is actually big enough to share between two. During the weekend this place can get packed and there could be a wait of 30 mins. to get seated. Flavorful, tortillas were crunchy, customer service was nice and place was clean. I'm usually not huge on potatoes but these were so gooood! Salty, flavorful, seasoned so well! The chorizo and eggs were on the bottom more than the top so by the time I was done I had a bunch left over. My friends got the biscuits & gravy. The portions are huge & they're saucy! Had a chance to try it and I usually don't get biscuits but felt they were pretty dry without the gravy. But even with the gravy more on the dry side. But would recommend checking them out!

The staff was friendly and was able to find us a seat either inside or outside. We elected to sit outside because the music inside was slightly a little too loud. The staff understood and we got to sit on the patio under the umbrellas for shade. I ordered the BBLT; Bacon Lettuce and Tomato sandwich, with the homemade potato salad. I'm always nervous when ordering a BLT somewhere as some places hardly give much bacon on their sandwich. Not this place however, they loaded my sandwich up with bacon and it was amazing. The potato salad was light, not over salty, or sweet. Just right, where you could season it up however your tastebuds like. We enjoyed our brunch outing and will be back next time in the area.

I don't remember the exact things but at the time I was impressed with what I saw and decided at that time that this is a restaurant I must try in my near future. So here I am. They are open Friday-Sunday. If you call the phone number listed for them the message states their exact hours for breakfast, brunch, lunch and dinner. The service is really welcoming. The waitress/bartender is very friendly and answered questions I had before ordering. It's definitely a clean restaurant with big windows that surround the dining room, with a view of the water and boats. It doesn't feel like I'm just on a quick lunch break, I feel like I'm somewhere else then stockton. Maybe because I didn't even realize all this was so close and just down 8mile Rd. There's plenty of seating inside and outside. Having the option of eating outside on a beautiful day sounds great actually. I ordered the French Dip Sandwich with Fry's and ranch dressing. This is absolutely one of the best lunches I've had in a while. The meat was juicy and flavourful. The bread was soft and the fry's were fresh cut fry's. They were thin yet bigger like steak fry's and were the best I've had ever. Those alone are worth visiting this restaurant! I'll be back for sure to try more of their food. Although I've had many wonderful dinners here, this review is for breakfast. First time for breakfast and it was far above my expectations. I had Steak and Eggs and my wife had the fisherman's breakfast, two pancakes eggs and Ham. It was a 3/4 inch thick slab of ham. Our server was very nice and greeted us at the door. Very attentive. The cook checked on us twice during our meal. They are only open 3 days a week. I posted hours in the pictures.

A few blocks away everything seems to be getting remodeled. Like they were getting a whole new town. They had not yet reached this block. I'm not sure if that is a god or bad thing. It's an old diner. The lady sitting in the booth behind us seemed like a regular. We ordered our food and it was super fresh and quite delicious. An older gentleman seated us but I'm guessing it was either his daughter or possibly a granddaughter that took our order. She was sweet as pie. Our food was just what we needed for the wine tasting to come. I would go back if I lived there.
