They have a variety of homemade desserts and bbq sauces to taste with and the brisket is the best in Texas. This is our go to BBQ place. Love the smoked chicken, sausage, brisket. I accidentally ordered the chopped beef ( my fault). Don't generally order chopped beef because other places put less than great meat in it. I would order it here anytime. It was lean and well seasoned. Got the brisket & ribs to go. They made the car smell so wonderful, that I had to try them on the way back to the hotel. Because, reheated ribs & brisket just aren't the same. The brisket was tender & had a good char on the outside. It was tender, but lacked that smoke ring that I am accustomed to. The ribs were tender and had a strong smoky flavor to them. Some people don't like a strong smoke flavor, but I do. I got the bbq sauce on the side. It was rather thin and had a decent taste. My boyfriend and i walked in for dinner and were the only two people in the place. The man behind the counter cutting and serving the meat was rude and short with us. He wouldn't look up to speak to us and then snapped at us when we asked the other worker to repeat what he had just said. We go to Randy's at least once a week. The brisket, ribs, and turkey are our favorites. Although, the baked potato with chicken is good too! The owner Randy was very personable. My wife and I ordered the 3 meat and 2 side plate. I wanted to try it all so I asked for an extra side of the sausage. He let me try the sausage on the spot and I was immediately hooked! it was by far the best sausage that I have ever eaten. The brisket? AMAZING! AMAZING! And AMAZING! I am not joking that this was the best brisket that I have ever eaten in my life. It was so tender that it melted in my mouth immediately. The brisket on its own was heavenly, but paring it with their BBQ sauce took it over the edge. The BBQ sauce is also amazing! The ribs were very good. My wife is the rib eater and she said that it was some of the best ribs that she has eaten. There was plenty of meat on the ribs and they were very tender and so flavorful. To top it off we brought a piece of the pecan pie and blackberry cobbler with ice cream hummmmmmm..... That was Delicious! This place was so good that we ended up eating here a second time during our trip. I had a 50% off coupon (on orders $30+ dine in only), that I paid $7 for, so I decided to try it out. Walking in I presented coupon and was treated VERY rudely by the manager. He kept going on that he would accept the coupon but how he wished he had not approved its distribution since he wasn't going to make any money. Since the average plate of food was $8-11 my boyfriend and I asked for suggestions on what to get to meet the $30 requirement. We were given no help. We ended up order a lot of food : Brisket, ribs, chicken, bbq beans, and dirty rice. All the meat tasted EXACTLY the same. I know smoked meat gets smoked flavor but you could not distinguish any of the meats. The rice was dry and EXTREMELY spicy (way too much jalapeno) and the bbq beans were meh. Ive been eating here almost everyday since last August and I havent had anything I didnt like. First, the ribs that are done perfect, easily fork tender but no sauce...so you can pick which one of their different awesome sauces you want but I even like em without sauce. Then there's the specials...pork loin...meat loaf...pork chops...and I love their chicken and dumplings. All of very tasty and fills you up. Disappointed in my smoked turkey this year. Was promised a minimum 15 pounder, in fact, was told they didn't have anything smaller. Used my scale at home which registered 9 pounds. Even taking into account fluid loss during cooking it's hard to believe the bird lost 6 pounds. The guy in front of me at pick up refused his turkey because he said he ordered a 16 pound bird and felt ripped off. I've used Randy's for many turkeys before, and for catering, but doubt I'll be back after this. read more

The first time I got some BBQ from here it was great. My wife and I pulled up 5 mins till closing and everything we got tasted very fresh. On the second time we went. The coleslaw was sour. We brushed it off as just being a bad batch. This last we went, everything was dry. The sausage and brisket didn't have any kind of juices in them. The BBQ sauce didn't even help. Boss lady ordered lunch from here for everyone at work today. We were pretty impressed with how quickly our food was delivered, but not with much else. The sausage and chicken were both okay, but the brisket was more on the dry side. It's a decent place to satisfy a little craving for bbq if there aren't other choices nearby, but I wouldn't go out of my way for food here, especially not for the brisket. Huge serving of everything. Very reasonably priced as well. The 2 guys working were helpful when I couldn't decide what to order in offering suggestions. I was even offered a sample of the collared greens which was good but not my personal favorite (nothing about theirs). They also were helpful in offering up different sauces and description of each as well as letting me try all of them. I ended up taking home the spicy. Not extreme but just right. Nice looking salad bar. I have them 4 stars because some of the food didn't look too fresh. I am assuming that it was due to the lateness of the day. They were also out of the creamed corn that I read about in other reviews and sorry that they didn't have it. They did offer regular corn and butter instead which was a thoughtful option. this place used to be really good. now - not so much... got a family dinner to take home after a long day of errand running. ribs, sausage, brisket with green beans and black eyed peas. nothing was well seasoned at all. green beans tasted only of garlic and the peas were very, very blah. the meat itself didn't have that good Texas BBQ smokey taste - it seemed like it had been cooked in an oven instead of over a smoke pit. I'd heard ownership had changed and they did do a lot of fixing up inside the place. It's a nice enough place but that doesn't make up for the bland food. There are plenty of other better BBQ places nearby so I'd suggest you drive on to one of those. read more

We like this family-owned BBQ spot. We're not that big into sauce, but we're big into good meat and their brisquit is melt in your mouth good- as well as their roasted chickens. Good portions and affordable. We usually stop and get one of their chickens when I'm running late from work. Sides are ok- herbed potatoes and green beans are usually fine. read more
