    HUGE loaded Baked Potato
    Syd G.

Wow We drove from Fort Worth to support an iconic steakhouse. After reading stories about their loss of customers, due to the City of Frisco dragging their feet on road construction. I ate here 20 years ago when I lived closer and remembered what a great experience it was. So we drive an hour to try again. Well, spoiler alert ‼ It was even better than I remembered. [[HIGHLIGHT]]What a beautiful restaurant in a historical home.[[ENDHIGHLIGHT]] Getting past the construction on Main Street was a pain but well worth it. The girls inside greeted and sat us right away. Our server was Nicole and she was a superstar! We started with some wine and a recommendation for the bleu cheese wedge salad. We loved that salad and split it because it was huge. I chose the 16oz ribeye and my wife picked the bleu cheese filet. We decided to split sides and chose a loaded baked potato, mushrooms for the steaks and the Osage spinach dish. OMG thr steaks were soooo good. Well cooked and packed full of savory flavors. Loved the spinach Osage and thr baked potato was perfect. We had so much food left over that there was a full meal of leftovers going honestly. One of the highlights was speaking to Randy who still cones out and talks to each table. This man cares about his employees and customers. It shows because he's still successful after 30+ years at the same location. We will be back.....

    Onion rings - we'd eaten a few

Overall, good dinner except for a few service things. The good - We wanted to try Randy's because we're about to move and we'd never been before. We made reservations for 6:00pm and arrived at that time. Traffic is crazy around there now so give yourself time to park. We were seated shortly after arriving which was great as it seemed to be a busy night. [[HIGHLIGHT]]Inside is really cool. Love the old charm and house feel[[ENDHIGHLIGHT]]. The not so good - it was about 10 minutes before a server came to our table to acknowledge us. Two servers arrived at the same time and one of them took our table - OK. We placed our drink orders and looked over the menu. Drinks were dropped off. A good while later, server came back and we have appetizer order. We should have placed food order at that time as well because it was about 15-20 min before he came back to take our food order (6:45pm at this point). Onion ring appetizer arrives and they're very good - huge portion as we didn't even finish them all but we will at home, lol. We ordered Pork Chops, Parmesan Crusted Tilapia, Salmon, and Kids cheeseburger. We had the sautéed spinach and liyonnaise potatoes that hubby wanted to try. Everyone enjoyed their food and had leftovers. We'll gladly eat them today. Overall, decent experience besides the amount of time it took.

Went to Randy's Steakhouse for the first time and it was great! My mom is a local and we have been wanting to support this restaurant for quite some time. Flash forward to her birthday and here we are! [[HIGHLIGHT]]Perfect location in downtown Frisco and a historical site, which makes it that much more interesting.[[ENDHIGHLIGHT]] [[HIGHLIGHT]]Cute, family photos adorn the walls and you can tell this place has been a staple of the city for quite some time.[[ENDHIGHLIGHT]] I had the blackberry 8 oz filet and it was cooked perfectly. My husband had a ribeye and couldn't stop saying how good it was. Between the two of us, we also shared a Cesar salad, which had a nice kick of jalapeño; and the stuffed jalapeños quick were awesome. Service was top notch and Randy even came by to see how our meal was. Upon leaving, they even gave us a bottle of wine to celebrate our anniversary at home. We will definitely be back! Please paint me a visit and tell them I sent you

1st time trying , will not be our last. Food was amazing the steaks were cooked to perfection, I didn't have to send back. [[HIGHLIGHT]]Ambiance was romantic and relaxed.[[ENDHIGHLIGHT]] [[HIGHLIGHT]]The historic building and the quirkiness of it was cool.[[ENDHIGHLIGHT]] The service was good Isaac took care of our orders for the night. The price is very reasonable for the atmosphere.

Growing up here in Frisco, and being a local now, I had been wanting to visit Randy's and had the privilege last night. We had dinner here to celebrate the New Year and had a wonderful experience. The hostess and waitress were both very nice and welcoming. We were sat in one of the larger rooms towards the back, which was great at least while it was empty. Throughout the evening it filled up and became pretty loud. I'm not sure if it was the acoustics or other diners, but we found it difficult to hear each other at certain times. I recommend asking to be seated in one of the quieter, smaller rooms if this is a concern for you. That is our plan for next time. In regards to our dining experience itself, it began with the bread. This bread was one of my favorite appetizer breads I have ever had! It is extremely fluffy, sweet and paired beautifully with garlic butter on the side. We loved it! After the bread, we split Randy's Caesar Salad. We both enjoyed it, it was a classic take on a typical caesar salad and was topped with tasty croutons discs. For our appetizers, we ordered the Panko Crusted Brie and the catch of the day, the Coconut Shrimp. The brie was presented along with thick toasts, garlic cloves, meant to be spread as a paste on the toasts, red grapes and the panko crusted brie itself. I am a huge fan of brie and I thought this one was good! The garlic and grapes made it a great appetizer overall. The coconut shrimp was also pretty good and is actually on the menu all the time, which was great to know! For our entrees, we ordered the Bone-In Rib Eye Steak and Rib Eye Steak, both medium rare. The presentation of the bone was amazing and both steaks were equally as delicious. They were a little more rare than I would have liked but I had cut into it too much to be sent back. I still throughly enjoyed the flavor, texture and experience of both. We also ordered the Béarnaise and Bordelaise Sauces to go with our steaks. I loved the Béarnaise Sauce and it compares nicely compared to other béarnaise I have had around restaurants in the area. The bordelaise was not my particular favorite, but if you are a red wine fan, I think you will love it. For our side, we only ordered the Garlic Mashed Potatoes. These were another of my favorite parts of the meal. They were creamy, whipped and absolutely delicious! Also, to note, the sides are large and meant to be shared between a couple of people. It split perfectly between us two. Lastly, for dessert, we ordered the Key Lime Pie and Randy's Famous Bread Pudding. The bread pudding was so good! It came with a scoop of vanilla ice cream on top and green apples to the side. It was definitely our favorite of the two desserts. The pie was okay, it was not as strong in lime flavor as we expected. It was still good but seemed more like a plain cheesecake with lime syrup on top. Ultimately, we had a great night here at Randy's. We were so happy to finally visit and next time will request a quieter room and try a couple of the other dishes too. The highlight of our night was getting to meet Randy himself! He came through during our dinner to greet the guests and it was so great to get to meet the man himself! Thank you for a great night and experience!

Scallops and some of the very large baked potato.

Walked in and we were sat immediately by the friendly host stand. We were immediately greeted by Miss,Cynthia and she gave us great service. Very prompt and friendly. Steak was cooked just the way I liked it and the scallops were perfect and the baked potato was great as well. Will definitely be back and highly recommend.

[[HIGHLIGHT]]Great steakhouse in old Downtown Frisco.[[ENDHIGHLIGHT]] [[HIGHLIGHT]]Original home built in 1800's updated to accommodate 75+ for dinner or private rooms for small gatherings.[[ENDHIGHLIGHT]] Nice menu for steaks, limited seafood options. Decent drinks and wine cellar. Hector was excellent server.

    Crawfish stuffed filet, 5 stars!

Always a 5 star experience. Best steakhouse in DFW. Great food. [[HIGHLIGHT]]Great ambiance.[[ENDHIGHLIGHT]] Randy is a rock star. See you guys soon!!!

[[HIGHLIGHT]]The restaurant is in an old home in old town Frisco.[[ENDHIGHLIGHT]] The service was attentive and good. The food was very good. They have some unique spins on some dishes but it was nice. My prime rib was tender and flavored nicely. They home bake bread and it was nice and fresh and good. We had the shrimp for an appetizer and it is nicely displayed and cooked perfectly. The order of onion rings reminds one that we are in Texas and they do everything larger! I recommend giving this one a try.

Went here for our anniversary and the food was amazing! We ordered the surf and turf (steak and lobster) and the tornadoes (beef) and both were so good that we shared our plates with each other. The owner is so nice and friendly, he made sure the service was top quality. They gifted us a bottle of wine and dessert for our anniversary!!! Highly recommend this place

Our waiter Ruben was probably the best server we've had in years. He knew the food and drinks inside and out, he anticipated our needs and magically showed up with refills before I even knew I needed one. He told us about things on the menu and the restaurant and the services they offer. He was a guide without ever being pushy, he was always there with whatever we needed but was never hovering. Nice kid! I rarely talk to the managers unless something is seriously wrong. In this case I called Tom over to compliment how great the place is. We told him it was our first time in and that the only reason we hadn't been in before was it looked a bit expensive. He did mention they just came up with pick-a-pair for lunch at $14.95. Normally this means skimpy half-portions of stuff but not here. I was in the mood for bacon so I went for the BLT Salad & BLT Sandwich. The dressing was made in house and wonderfully garlicky without being overpowering. The tomatoes were juicy and flavorful, the bread was grilled to perfection, and even the arugula was delicious (and I hate arugula/rocket). My wife got the club with fruit salad as her side. Ruben said they cut the fruit daily. My wife doesn't like strawberries nor pineapple so I got bonus fruit on my salad. She only at half because Firebirds has a crème brûlée cheesecake and we had to split that. While we were there, a nearby table was celebrating and a bunch of waitstaff came out with shakers and martini glasses and poured everyone drinks. Fun and classy at the same time. We joined the loyalty club. No having to check in nor track points, they just send you discounts and free stuff in your birthday. We went in on a Sunday afternoon so it was not too busy at the time. My girlfriend and I like to be seated at a "low top" because she has back issues with climbing up into higher seating. We don't mind waiting for that as inside "low tops" are limited. The hostess was very nice, as they always are. She took us to the middle of the venue to seat us and then walked away while we were waiting on our server. I stood up to walk around the table so that I could sit next to her instead of across from her. She stood up to move over and pulled out the chair next to her so she could sit back down. At that moment the new general manager walked up, and without offering any explaination, took the chair out of my girlfriend's hand and said, "We need this table for another party." He walked away and left us standing there without offering us another solution, and apology or calling the hostess over to seat us elsewhere. We were left standing there dumbfounded and looking around unsure of what to do. We started walking back toward the front of the venue as we spotted another open "low top" near there. At that same time the female hostess saw what had happened to us, and she started to walk toward us. Meanwhile, another male server - acting as host - seated some people at the new table we were about to get to with the hostess. We got mad and said, "it feels like someone is playing a game on us!" The hostess apologized as she could see we were aggitated. It was not her fault, and we do not blame her. We blame the rudeness of the general manager. We left to go eat somewhere else. This is not the first incident with this general manager, though. A few days prior, we were eating in there and had a good vantage point of one of the side kitchen entries off to the left of the bar toward the ffront half of the venue. A bus boy sloshed water all over the floor while moving wet dishes in a container back into the kitchen. He didn't have a chance to clean it up because he was buy walking back and forth doing other things. No big deal. The general manager walks up and proceeds to yell at another female server about the water who had absolutely nothing to do with the spill After she walks away, he did not take any real care to clean the spot up himself. He comes back after a minute to clean it up but not with a mop or anything. He takes two towels off the bar and mushes it around on the floor with his foot. He , then, proceeds to kick the wet towels under the bar before walking away. Talk about a safety and hygene issue. This kind of left a bad taste in our mouth. He does not treat his venue or his staff very nicely. We wantedd to get up and tell the other female server that we were sorry for her. This venue would be great if they would fire this rude and sloppy general manager. It's a shame because this used to be one of our favorite venues to go to all the time. The experience is starting to feel cheapened and sullied now.

The tallow fries were as good as it ever gets: crispy, soft inside, must be 2x fried. Outside square had great World Cup fan area. We watched Colombia vs Uzbekistan. My team Croatia lost to England previously, but Haywire soothed my disappointment with an excellent dining experience. BTW: $638.04 with a 20% tip. Great value. This would cost so much more in my home state of California.
