New restaurant in the downtown Tucson that opened in September 2018. For new restaurant the food was really good. Had the cheeseburger with French fries. The burger was cooked perfectly and the fries were nice & crispy. Loved the peanut butter cookies for dessert! The staff was very nice. Will definitely coming back to try other menu items. read more

I am serious about breakfast. It's the start to a great day. So, I am particular about where and what I eat. With 111 five-star ratings on Yelp, Raptor Canyon Cafe caught my attention this morning. I drove the one-mile distance from my hotel and found easy street-side parking. My order included biscuits with sausage gravy, chorizo, scrambled egg whites, and coffee. These were delicious and the owners were very friendly. I especially loved the all-beef chorizo. It has an excellent flavor. I will be back every chance I get. read more

We just ate lunch here after landing in Tucson! Reviews are right! Wow, terrific meal and what wonderful people! I loved the fish tacos with lime crema and homemade guac and chips! Husband devoured the green chili cheesesteak special and boys loved their meals including spaghetti with homemade meatballs! Great food with no fuss and the kindest owners. I'm sorry it took us so long to find this place (haven't been out much in the past 10 months or so!). We were downtown, looking for a lunch place with outdoor seating. This place is great. We both loved our food (chipotle chicken sandwich and a wrap, plus fries) Yum. All fresh, home made for sure, and very generous portions. I don't normally order fries, but these were something special. The breakfast menu looked good, so we will be coming back to sample that. read more

This place is legit!! Real Taylor Ham (pork roll for you youngsters), homemade Crumb cake that was so wonderful and biscuits that made my day! Anyone needing a quick Jersey fix needs to stop by and meet Dennis and try their food. He let me know they have made from scratch Italian meatballs - his wife's recipe and she does all the baking too so my hat's off to her! We were wanting to try someplace new, found this little place downtown. It had a nice selection for breakfast and lunch. Family owned and operated (Mom & Pop and son). The gentleman that took our order was extremely friendly. His son, who is also the cook, came out to serve our meals personally. Everything was delicious! I had the breakfast tacos that were very flavorful. My mom, sister, nephew and I enjoyed the atmosphere and will definitely be going back again. We're driving across the country back home -- California to Tennessee and now Tennessee to California , two dogs in the car (great both ways and sleep 97% of the time thankfully) and had one final stop before our stretch home. Needed a place to stop for breakfast with our dogs and we are so beyond thrilled we came across raptor canyon cafe. We stopped around 11am on a Tuesday morning during covid in December so you never know what'll be open, and it's by far the most incredibly comforting and delicious spot imaginable. My fiancé had the southwestern burrito, hash cake, and we split a waffle stick order of three. I went basic with the avocado toast and added a fried egg. Both came with green apple slices. I also had a coffee and the sweet owner included his wife's favorite vanilla creamer that I loved. Also, I read reviews on the home made chocolate cookies by none other than the wonderful wife-- and they. Were. So. Great. Physically restraining myself from eating every bit of those cookies immediately. I would consider myself a picky person, my fiancé would eat nearly anything-- and we both agreed that the food was not only delicious, affordable, unique, and comforting-- but the service and the family were truly one of a kind. I am so happy we had the pleasure to meet them and support the wonderful business they've built while enjoying the insanely yummy food. We will absolutely be back even if it means coming 8 hours from home :) read more

Bright, cheerful, clean, friendly with a large diner menu. I was really surprised since the previous establishment was dingy and dirty. Dropped in while visiting Tucson for the first time in awhile. They just opened Sept 2018. I got the veggie breakfast burrito with coffee. Both were amazing! They wrap eggs around crispy hashbrowns and then put grilled onions and peppers together into the burrito. So amazing. Not your average bfast burrito! The service is great and fast. read more
