It is a 2016 and we did not have any issues with it over the years. However in August 2022 it overheated from a radiator issue. It was so bad the head gasket became damaged. The other shop simply did not know how to properly repair a mustang. I was devastated and then did my research for competent shop. I then reached out to this shop and Pete answered my call after hours. Pete listened to my concerns and was very knowlegable, kind, and reassuring. He was able to get us in quickly and they were able to fix the car within a week. I had already been paying for a rental car for 2.5 months. I will always be a customer and refer people to this shop. Long story short, I had a blown head gasket and decided it was time to make some upgrades. Ordered a set of cams and some intake parts to replace stock; two months and 13 cam timing codes later, I had the car towed from that shop to Car Guys new location. The immediately dug into the engine and found exactly where the other shop went wrong. They took the time to walk me through and explain everything that was diagnosed through their troubleshooting process. They retimed my cams and the engine runs like a top. I was thoroughly pleased and will never trust anyone else with my car.

Then we heard through the grapevine that our friend Gary started working at Shorie. We'd instantly trust any shop he worked at. Coincidentally, our vehicle began making loud noises and needed attention just about then. Perfect timing. Evidently, when cooling fans vibrate enough, they break off and cause severe damage to your radiator. So, we had our vehicle towed into the shop and had a rental for over a week because we had to help some friends in Yuma. Schorie was fantastic. They did all the work on our vehicle while we were out of town. It needed a few more things, so we authorized the additional work. The estimate was less than other shops had quoted us (for the front rotors and breaks). We came home, drove over, picked up our vehicle, and were super happy with the work that was done and the warranty terms. Aric was terrific to deal with the entire time on the phone and then in the office as well. The shop is run well, prices are decent, and they have a super warranty to back up their service on your vehicle. Highly recommend.

I have personally taken both my wife and daughter to meet with Chris in case of emergency car problems and I can't make it to bring the car so they could do it with no worries. It is a huge peace of mind to have a mechanic you know you can trust.

No problem...if that fixes things. But it didn't. 3 days later...a broken down car on the side of the road, with my kids and grandson needing to be taken home in the second row of a tow truck (fortunately in town, and not on some lone highway). Unacceptable, but exactly what happened. Had it towed to them. $300 more of fixes (with more upselling along the way) got it out of their care. Will it last?...we'll see. But of course, I'm guessing...no. If they couldn't see and fix an issue while our car was in their care, are they competent enough to trust them with yours? You decide. But we'll never go back.

Today really confirmed it. I found out my tires were wearing out at just 24,000 miles. When I went back to the place I bought them, the first thing I was told was, "You didn't buy the warranty." What they meant was an additional warranty--completely brushing past the fact that there's still a manufacturer's warranty. Then I was told it would be a 2-3 hour wait just to have someone look at them. Frustrated, I went straight to Ron's and talked with Tom. Within minutes, he clearly explained the difference, confirmed the manufacturer warranty, and was upfront about what he could and couldn't do since he didn't sell me the tires. And then--without any pressure--he went above and beyond and adjusted my new tire quote to help offset the situation. That kind of integrity is rare. These cheaper batteries often have thin internal plates and poor reserve power, which in hot climates like ours leads to premature failure, and that's exactly what happened. That battery lasted only about 6 months before needing replacement, then again around 9 months later it failed again, causing additional electrical and transmission-related issues due to inconsistent power delivery. I later took the Jeep to another mechanic up the road, and they immediately pointed out the battery as the problem and explained that this vehicle requires a proper, high-quality battery, not an off-brand, entry-level unit. So in less than 2 years, I ended up replacing the battery three times and spending another $230 just to correct what should have been done properly in the first place. This has cost me far more time, money, and stress than it ever should have. I feel like I was overcharged for work that did not prioritize quality parts or long-term reliability. As someone else put it... faith? Yeah--faith in the almighty dollar, not in doing the job right.
