But if you're thinking about value for money, it may come across as a bit underwhelming.

I recently visited Ray's and was pleasantly surprised to see that it has been remodeled and new and friendly faces behind the counter. It appears to be under new ownership, but I didn't ask. They had great flavor, and were dense but not overly so (I say that as a compliment, the old-fashioned ones need to be a bit dense IMO.)
