Came for early dinner while staying at a local Air BnB. Hubby ordered the Cowboy steak with Mac 'n cheese , the steak was well cooked but nothing too special. The Mac 'n cheese was like warm and got cold fast. Was nice flavor and very cheesy. Suprised they don't use hot plates as the food gets cold quickly. I ordered the garlic salmon and backed potatoe. The Salmon was good but too much butter! Ordered the chicken and fries for our 2 year old. Loved the little basket the fries are served in, chicken was flavorful, he seemed to really enjoy them. I can see why the locals are here often. We didn't ordered any drinks or go into the bar area. Overall, give it a try good food. For owners recommend using jot plates especially for steak and Mac 'n cheese. read more

He wanted us to close the door due to lack of AC but our elderly aunt was talking to Ricky's mom. We felt that was extremely rude and unwelcoming. Whenever , if ever you are in Lake Arrowhead this place is a MUST go to. We had a dinner party hosted by RB and it was beyond exceltional. The filet mignon was 2" thick and cooked to perfection. We've been coming to RB's for many years and it's one of the few reliably good restaurants, on the mountain, that have held onto a "good quality at fair prices" policy. A bit of well chosen wall paper in the dingy bar would be money well spent and the dining room is boringly basic. A little bit of paint or wall paper would fix the blah feeling of the spaces. But the good quality and generous food portions makes this a worthy place to frequent. The chef is definitely doing a good job of keeping the quality up. Whether it's half price appetizers, taco night or the prime rib special, this is a great place for friends and family to enjoy a fun and affordable night out. read more

I was very weary about coming with reviews I've seen. I am pleasantly surprised. I had the cowboy steak, Mac & cheese, and a dinner salad. It was really good and the service was excellent. My boyfriend and I visited this place before we had a long trip home. I think our wait time was longer than our drive. We had our dogs since we spent a three day weekend here and brought the babies and the one thing that got our attention was their dog friendly place. The food was decent and the people who were there seemed like regulars and just friendly people so everyone on the deck was talking to each other every now and then. Jokes were made and more dogs showed up so everyone was in awe of that. The waitresses did their best with being honest and keeping us updated which was nice to have. RB Steakhouse is one of our go to restaurants. Inside, the vibe feels like a vintage steakhouse that has seen some better days, otherwise it's as a pretty perfect atmosphere for a family dinner in the mountains. They have a full bar, so whether looking for a cocktail, beer or glass of wine, they have it all. I like that it's casual, but they have great food the same steaks you would find at most other steakhouses. For the most part, the staff is very friendly, & Attentive. We have ate in the bar area a couple times when the staff had friends/family there and our service wasn't that great but food was still good. Overall I would recommend RB Steakhouse! read more

Honestly, we went out on a much needed date night and it must have been just a bad day in the kitchen. We ordered Filet Minion and the Cowboy Steak. The Filet Minion was ordered medium well - completely rare and bleeding... ruining his appetite The Cowboy Steak was ordered well done and was still pink. The plating was sloppy and looked tossed on without care or regard to the appearance. Service was GREAT. The waitress truly felt embarrassed and wanted to make sure we were ok. She was tipped because the food was not her fault at all. The ambience was actually pretty cool. There was a live band on the first floor that was pretty cool! Visited Arrowhead with my 103-year-old dad, who had an itch to go out for dinner. He is wheelchair bound, and at his age I didn't want to expose him to a crowded in door tourist ridden restaurant. Enter RB's steakhouse. It's pretty much a wonderful local dive with great food, outdoor patio, and attentiveness to customer needs. We wheeled dad easily to the patio dining area, and our waiter was very attentive to dad and made him feel super special. Food was amazing and price was a good value. And a the locals that frequent this place were friendly and offered us help in wheeling dad onto and off the patio. All around great experience that I highly recommend! read more

The food is good. The service is iffy. I've mainly sat in the dining room. Just not the service/ambience one would want for a steak house. Then I sat at the bar and it wasn't a vibe. Not one to complain, but our waitress was about as enthusiastic as I am when it's time to write the IRS a check. I understand that we're in the mountains and efficient service is not what we're expecting but Geezus. Maybe our waitress was having a bad day being that she was the only one tending about 8 people or so. I wanted to ask her "why are you here"! Even molasses moved faster than she did. I get it we all have bad days but whoever is managing this place needs to step it up. Even with this "not so enjoyable experience ", I still tipped 20%. Now I'm thinking why did I do that? It's not fair to the servers/waiters that are fast and efficient. I will re-think how much I tip next time I encounter a "Debbie Downer" waitress. The food was good but, being that it's near the top of a mountainous area, perhaps investing in some outdoor gas heaters would A. Help clients spending $125 for a meal stay warm and B. Help keep our $30 steaks and seafood stay warm (didn't get it hot) for more than seven minutes. (Yes, I kept track) I should've gotten some burgers to go for less somewhere else and gone home. Went to eat at RBs for New Years Eve 2022 and was very satisfied with our food and service. They didn't take reservations for any parties less than 6 people (not very convenient if you are planning a special evening with your fiancé) but we still chanced it. After a little bit of a wait, we were accommodated downstairs. They were very friendly and making sure we were ok sitting downstairs (a booth in the bar area, not in the actual dining). Not impressed. We went to this place on a Thursday, which is taco night on the patio/bar area. We chose to eat in the restaurant on the 2nd floor just to enjoy a nice dinner rather than food in a ""bar atmosphere. My husband ordered the club sandwich, which was very simple and missing the avocado. Of course, he shouldn't have ordered a sandwich at a steakhouse, so lesson learned. I ordered with grilled salmon which came with brown rice and fresh steamed veggies. It was very good. The ambience was just ok. It was a small dining room and stuffed with people at tables that were too small for their group (6 at a table for 4) and another table shaped in an L with people on both sides. Our waitress was good but seemed new. She did well. This restaurant is probably best on prime rib night. read more

For the price and the way they portray themselves via the website, it's a complete farce. It's really hard to make a ribeye taste bad, they did it. I asked for rare, I got medium well. It also just tasted plain bad, i.e., over cooked, dryish. My wife order a filet, Rare+, it was medium. There was a guy on his headset one table over from use talking at the top of his lungs about chess, I mean yelling. The waitress said nothing, and whenI mentioned it to her, she acted as if I said nothing. They turned out to be local regulars, which said it all to me. The onion rings were clearly frozen, as per the water sogginess of each one of them, we couldn't eat them. Our son's western bacon burger was awful too. The bun was stale and patty was also overcooked. Service was awful, the waitress was forgetful and super short with us. This is anything but a true steakhouse. I would have liked to give RB's a five star review but they tend to fall short especially since there always seems to be some confusion paying attention to detail. The staff are all nice but some of the items that came out of the kitchen were meant for another table. As far as the food goes they definitely give you a nice sized portion for your money. The baby back ribs were good and are probably one of the better choices to try here. My friend did not like the Shepherds Pie. The bottom line is RB's is worth a try just choose carefully as some items are better than others. I personally believe this business would be much better off taking reservations for all sized parties not just 6 and above. read more

I first called it Cheers where everybody knows your name but I think Eaglesnest is better because it's high up in the mountain and my Jeep is dedicated to the 101st Airborne who arrived at the Eagles nest Germany in 1945 Great service, great beer! Very relaxed. Old America as I like it and what made me immigrate to California. Their appetizers are great. The fish and chips would make the Red Coats (the British) jealous. The jalapeños with bacon and cheese are delicious and will make you qualify to join the horn section in The band Chicago.
