Before leaving Erica told me I should try my drink with oat milk instead of whole, as she thought it made it even better. I absolutely made it a point to stop by the next morning to order it as suggested. She was working and had remembered and was excited to see us again. We ordered it the way she suggested and it was in fact even better than the past one which I already thought was exceptional. I highly recommend ordering the salted caramel iced latte w oat milk. Top 5 possibly top 3 coffee drinks I have ever had. I can't wait till the next time we are in California so I can stop by and grab another. The spot itself was very clean, comfortable, and well kept. Prices were about average for boutique coffee shops so no complaints there. Definitely something they could work on when it comes to customer service. We ordered three iced matcha drinks: the Mango Matcha, Dragon Fruit Matcha, and Banana Cold Foam Vanilla Matcha. I've been really into matcha lately, and while the matcha itself was okay, the flavors tasted pretty artificial to me. Unfortunately, I didn't really enjoy any of the three drinks. Play coffee is an iconic coffee shop here that honors the history of the building and offers great coffee flavors. There is a decent amount of indoor seating here, A few different pastry options, ceremonial matcha, and a variety of latte flavors. We ordered an iced chai latte with almond milk and a "sweet latte" (aka a brown sugar latte) - both were well balanced and enjoyable. And the barista that helped us was very friendly, accommodating and patient.

On the drinks front, I usually get their cardamom latte, which is great, but I've noticed as of late they've been underserving on their drinks which is a bummer (the shrinkflation is real I guess). They also serve some various baked goods which are fine, but not great. Overall, Play has a lot of potential to be great, but they've got a ton of stiff competition in the area.
