    Calamari steak and eggs which
    Jennifer G.

My first time at this spot and from customer service to food, it was great! A bustling spot that offers both indoor and outdoor seating. I arrived on a weekday morning and it was as super busy! I put my name down for a party of three and they couldn't seat me until the rest of my party was there, which is totally understandable. The hostess and manager were so friendly and kept checking in to see if my party had arrived. Once sat, service was quick and very friendly. I ordered the calamari steak and eggs which came with hash browns and pancakes. The calamari steak was huge! The hash browns were perfectly crispy. The whole meal was delicious and I would definitely return for more.

My girlfriend and I had been meaning to eat here for quite some time. Glad we did. The food was great, very delicious and fairly priced. Sam, our server, did an amazing job! Took care of us very well. The restaurant was a little packed but we were still comfortable and enjoyed our breakfast. It was really clean, well lit and well decorated. I highly recommend!!

I love red apple! A staple every time I come home. I always order the veggie potato skillet. The service is super friendly and the prices are pretty fair. I've been coming for years and love how homey this diner feels. Can't wait to come again!

The place was busy which is always a good sign. We had to sit in their outdoor seating area on a colder day but with the heaters on it was warm enough. My wife raves about their biscuits and gravy, which is her favorite dish and hasn't been able to find a place that makes them like she likes til now. I tried their chilaquiles which came as advertised but not what I was expecting. It was more of an omelet topped with tortilla strips than the traditional Mexican dish. Everything was delicious nonetheless and we'll be back to try more of their food.

I visited this restaurant during my recent trip to Fresno, and it completely exceeded my expectations. I went in really needing good coffee and breakfast, and I was honestly shocked by how amazing everything turned out to be. The coffee was incredibly good, far better than I expected, and the place itself felt warm and cozy from the moment I walked in. For breakfast, I got the French toast and asked my server to make it look pretty, and she absolutely delivered. It looked beautiful and tasted just as amazing. I also tried the Spanish omelette with tomatoes, bell peppers, salsa and sour cream, and it was delicious. I ordered it with a side of fruit, and everything was so fresh! I then tried the chicken bacon ranch sandwich on sourdough with a side of potatoes and oh my god....the potatoes were unbelievable. I have no idea what they put in them, but I could not get enough. It was buttery and crispy and everything! The sandwich was too good! The service was great from start to finish. I arrived early in the morning, and even then a few tables were already filled, and more people kept coming in as we sat there. It was clearly a popular spot, and after eating there, I completely understand why.

    Veggie and potato scramble. Amazing!

Well, the rumors are true. Red Apple Café is absolutely amazing for breakfast. Word is definitely out about this place as there were tons of people were there on Saturday morning. Fortunately they are a high volume operation so we did not need to wait long to be seated or for the food. And everything we did have was amazing. I keep using that word to describe this place but that's because it's one of the better breakfast places I've been to in several years. It has the California country style and has a very homey feel. The country fried steak was delicious, as was the famous potato scramble with the vegetables. It had tons of cheese and egg on top. The other folks in our group got the Hawaiian French toast and the apple pie French toast both of which were super sweet and delicious. Overall zero complaints, and I wish this place was close to where I live. I would definitely go here all the time if it was. Easily five stars and I would rate it higher if I could.

10.11.2025 We came here after the Clovis XC Invitational looking for some good home-cooked food. And this place did not disappoint! The wait at 10:30 am on a Saturday was 20 minutes, so it wasn't too bad. It was a cozy diner with friendly staff. Our server and other staff were attentive and quick to turnover tables. It was busy the entire time we were there. And there were still people waiting outside for a table when we left. I had their Crab Cake Benedict and it was very yummy! The crab cake was thin and fried, but had just the right amount of crab in it. The hollandaise sauce was light and tasty. Usually hollandaise sauces are thick, goopy and too rich so I ask for it on the side. But our server recommended this meal over the chicken fried steak because of the sauce. And I agree wholeheartedly that this one was good. The eggs were cooked perfectly! The potatoes were huge pieces and seasoned well. The whole meal was comforting and filling. If you can't find parking in their small lot, go out and turn right on the first residential street after it.

I ordered my steak and eggs medium well and over medium but this is what I got..the waitress argued with me about what over medium is supposed to be and insisted it was this..

Went here before a flight out of Fresno, and it was a solid lil spot. The servings are huge which I don't mind one bit. The service was solid as well as they were constantly checking on us. Just felt like it was missing something to deserve that coveted 5 star.

We loved our breakfast at Red Apple Cafe! It was the perfect carb-heavy breakfast to energize us for our hikes to the national parks. The coffee was good, and the staff were very nice and welcoming. Highly recommend if you're looking for a hearty meal before a long day of exploring!

I've eaten here several times. It can get busy so if you're not coming here during the week expect a wait. A great selection of lunch and breakfast items. I posted the Chiliquiles. The sauce was a nice topper (ask for extra). I enjoy their selection of coffee cocktails. I didn't have one this time but next time no holding back. It's a pretty casual place but there's plenty of business being done here over breakfast.

I really wanted to have a nice Homestyle breakfast with a friend of mine and suggested this Cafe they are known for their potatoes and boy did they not disappoint. We ordered mimosas with our meal that came out very quickly. I must say I really like the drinks here because they know how to pour. We both ordered the Tequila Sunrise Mimosa which was an excellent choice. Are order was taken by our server and our food came out shortly. I ordered the breakfast with turkey sausage eggs and potatoes. This dish also came with your choice of bread to which I had an English muffin. My friend ordered a vegetable omelette and added bacon to it. The size was incredible and there were definitely leftovers. Overall this is a highly recommended restaurant. In most cases there is a wait, however because we came later in the afternoon we were easy lease seated.

Ask the Community - Red Apple Cafe

Can they take a party of 9?

I've seen large parties, I know they are nitpicking everything, you might be able to get two tables

Is the contact number wrong on here?

Looks right. They're probably too swamped to answer. Head on over there or order online.

Why are you not open at 6:00 am when you're Yelp site states that?

Because yelp is a 3rd party.

Is patio seating available for dining during COVID-19?

    Yes!

    Do they offer bottomless mimosas?

    Not that I seen.

    How long is the wait?

Wait times vary but usually 10 to 20 minutes.

We tried to go this morning is it closed permanently?

As far as I know they are still open.

Do you have AARP discounts? Or military discounts?

Military if the person is in their military uniform.

Would this be a good place to have a baby shower? Like is there a good group gathering area?

This place has a main dining area and an outside eating area. Personally, I would not hold any event there because the space is so limited. They do host larger groups of people to eat. In all of my times of eating there, I've only seen a party of 8… Read more

Everyone was so nice, Jessica…read moreespecially was super attentive, our coffees were always full, our food came out at a decent time and it was still nice and hot and she was so friendly throughout our time here, so Jessica if you ever see this, Thank you so much, we appreciate you! We happened to be in the area today with a failed trip to Lithia Ford for a car repair. We both were hungry and needed to choose between breakfast or Mexican food, we flipped a coin and the coin chose breakfast. I'm glad it did, cause right when we were heading towards another breakfast spot, we made the quick decision to just choose what was nearby. It's a restaurant name we've heard of, but haven't been, so we opted to give it a try. I'm so glad we did! Because the food was amazing and the service just as much! Parking lot was full but not too crazy, that luckily came after we were seated. Inside was nicely themed to Louisiana Bayou with gators and cute signs with quotes and a big tree in the seating area with sound effects of bugs from the swamp. As soon as we walked in we were welcomed with a nice greeting from one of the busy waitresses who let us know we would be seated in a moment. Our server Jessica came up with a smile and a warm welcome and had us follow her to our booth. We both started off with coffee and browsed the menu, this menu had some usual fair but definitely stayed in the theme of the restaurant with Louisiana cuisine, like andouille sausage as a breakfast meat choice. I went with their "Hucks Platter" which is 3 eggs anyway you want, choice of potatoes or hashbrowns and you can choose between a couple varieties of meats, steak, chicken fried steak, sausage, bacon and andouille. It also comes with a choice of side, being toast, homemade biscuit or their huckleberry bread? I played it safe and went with the white toast. I also went with the bacon cause I love me some bacon! It was hickory smoked and my goodness it was cooked to perfection! My whole meal was cooked perfectly! I truly appreciate the cooking staff for doing such an amazing job during a busy morning. Jess chose the Banana Foster French Toast and my goodness! It looked just as good if not better than the picture. It was loaded, thick and comes with a side of eggs and your choice of meat. She loved the French toast, she's never had Bananas Foster before but she said it was decadent, sweet and had a nice caramelized flavor. Would recommend and also get it again! We paid, "with tip" around $57, which isn't bad for most breakfast spots now a days. Especially when you're getting this kind of food quality and service. We never went without a fresh hot cup of coffee and a nice check in from Jess or one of the other servers to pick up a plate or ask us how we're doing. I do apologize for no pictures, when the food came out, it looked so good we just dug right in! We both would absolutely come back and eat here again if we're in the area or back in Fresno looking for a breakfast spot. If you're in and or from here, you should definitely make this your go-to breakfast spot!

The food did take a while to get to us but I ordered an appetizer and that did come fast so it held us over and honestly, I wasn't holding it against them. It was so packed. The server was very nice. The biscuit that I had with the omelette was fresh and hot and a really good size. The okra came with two different dipping sauces. The restaurant has a nice vibe inside. Love this place and can't wait to come back again.

A last horrah indeed…read more Despite one negative experience, I have to give James and his team props for providing me with one of the best breakfast experiences Fresno had to offer in terms of food. That hollandaise sauce is one to remember and I'd pay big money to buy it if it were bottled up. Devin has served me many times in the past and she's always such a fun person to talk to. One of the best servers here that had been here for a long period of time that knows how to run a crazy show while running around. The Clapton. Simple. Yet perfect. I wish I could've explored the menu more but as a Taurus I had to keep my favorite the favorite. Best of luck to the staff and James himself. I hope this isn't my last time having this Benedict. I also tried the cinnamon roll, and it's a must-order. Truly delicious. The decor and atmosphere are fantastic. Funky, fun, and full of personality. It's a hip, trendy spot that still feels warm and inviting. Service was good, and the overall vibe really adds to the experience. They use a QR code menu, which I actually think is a cool idea, but the cell signal was weak, so I ended up using a paper printout. Not a big deal, but having a couple of backup menus available would make things smoother. My only small wish: I'd love to see fountain sodas on the menu. The classic glass bottle Coke was a nice touch, but nothing beats an ice-cold fountain drink with a great breakfast. Overall, Benediction is a fresh, stylish spot with amazing food and great energy. Highly recommend!
