Price? Yes, the pricing is low for what you're getting but that's not the point. It's the FOOD, and it's great! The brisket, the various chicken and pork offerings are all superb, and the sides are fresh, well prepared and nicely presented. Wow I wasn't expecting that many bad reviews. I LOVE this place. I don't see how many are comparing it to Panda Express panda is fake Asian food. This place is so friendly, clean and take their time with you to make sure your happy. That alone sold me. The food is so flavorful, you can tell they actually care about their food. When they cut it up they actually cut it up properly not all sloppy half cut with hella fat on it. I love small businesses like this!! This place has the yummiest BBQ chicken and beef brisket! We ordered a side of Cole Slaw that was also pretty delicious!

OK, so if you're expecting authentic, traditional BBQ...this may not be the place for you. BUT--the food is fresh and well prepared, portions are huge--and the price is amazingly low for what you get. I've been here a number of times; it's my usual go-to for lunch when I don't bring my own. The potato salad is impressive--looks like it's homemade, not the supermarket-style glop that's mostly mayo. And the green salad, made to order, is equally good, with a nice variety of extras to choose from. Baked beans are a bit too sugary for me, but the chicken is generally moist and tender--just ask for BBQ sauce. I've always found the staff here friendly and helpful, though the line can sometimes move a bit slowly. Parking in the crowded lot at lunchtime adds to the time factor, so don't plan on this being a quick in and out experience. read more

It's ok. I had higher expectations for their meat, but I was let down. I don't know if it's because I came at the end of the day or something but the meat was kind of mushy and had far too much sauce on it. The portions were large. read more

I have been meaning to try this place as it is very close to my home. I will definitely be coming back. I got the 2 meats, 2 sides combo. You can't beat $10 for that much bbq. The pulled pork was really good: moist and tender with just the right amount of smoke. The ribs could benefit from a rub and longer cooking time as they were tough and needed saucing. The cornbread was a giant chunk that came with honey butter; made my own pulled pork sandwich with the cornbread and coleslaw. I liked the coleslaw but wished it was a little sweeter and creamier. The service is very fast and polite. They will let you try any of the meats before you decide. read more

I friggin love this place. It's a steal! Fresh BBQ and veggies and salads. Bbq chicken so good. Pulled pork, the bomb. Crunchy tangy fresh sides like cole slaw and bean salad. Soft, chewy hoagies if you buy one of the huge subs (only $3.99!) Or a combo for $6.99 and they will put cole slaw on the sub for free. You can sample things too. So much cheaper, fresher, tastier than any fast food joint and family owned. I wish they had one in Marin. read more

Great prices and excellent service. The owner allowed us to sample some of the meat and was very nice. Huge+. Think of it as a panda express or hibachi-san type of deal but much higher in quality.I ordered the pork and boneless chicken with white rice and it was Delicious with a capital D. The food was excellent and the counter persons were extremely nice. They served the food to order, and they served it quickly. The price was more than reasonable (under $8.00 for pulled pork with two sides). I didn't realize that Red Bee was take-out only; the counter space is tiny and not very comfortable. OK, I just moved here from Austin so my standards for barbecue are the Texas standard. This place is just okay. I got the brisket and though flavor wise it was decent, it just wasn't good otherwise. Tough,dry, barely any bark and definitely no pink layer. Served with a thin smokey flavored sauce ladled over the top. I also got the barbecued veggies - which were just weird. Like frozen veggies cooked with spicy Asian seasoning and then some smoke flavor stirred in at the last minute. People running the place are super nice but just not what I'd call barbecue. read more

We were just introduced to Red Bee. The full rack of ribs with two sides almost fed our three but everyone at the office ate some so I had to go back to get more for dinner. Then, I saw the other choices and ended up getting two kinds of bbq chicken, spicy and regular, and a side of pulled pork. It was all moist and delicious. The rib dinner was $18 and the chicken dinner was $14. The coleslaw side was good but we think we are going for both sides in potato salad. Last week I picked up a rack of ribs at another bbq place that was dry and stringy. Red Bee has an Asian flavor that has a good tang. read more

Only reason for 2 stars is because they give big portions, but unfortunately the meat has no flavor as if they throw it on the grill without seasonings, the potato salad and mac salad secret recipe is add mayonnaise and small pieces of celery. Best value in town for a balanced meal. Chicken, salad and a side for 5 bucks can't be beat. With that being said they have literally the best chicken I have ever had. I have eaten here several times and have tried the pork ribs, brisket and sliced pork at least two times each to give me a fair idea of the consistency. The pork ribs have been really moist and flavorful every time and definitely worth getting again. The sliced pork was moist two times and very dry the third time but, worth taking a chance a fourth time. The brisket was dry two times and not worth a third time. I really like the bbq beans which were very sweet and the macaroni salad is pretty good. The couple that work there are over the top helpful and prices very reasonable. read more

Doesn't look like much from the outside. Don't expect a sit-down affair. It is mostly take out. Ribs are great! Chicken moist and perfect. Pulled pork really good. Whatever you do, don't forget the cornbread. They give you some honey butter, but I like to take mine home, split it in half (it is a big piece) and put real honey on it. The best part is that you get a good sized meal that doesn't cost alot. For under $20 you can get 2 meals that are just like home cooked. They don't skimp on the meat. read more
