Not your traditional BBQ joint, its more like a Asian BBQ joint. Well its basically Panda Express but without the stir fry. A stand alone place can not be compare to anything else. So for the food, its a good place not to bad. The roasted pork tasted like regular roasted pork was good but it had a sweet honey sauce to it which I'm not use to. Roasted duck not bad but had better. The food itself was luke warm but that what you'll except from a pick and serve place. For the price not bad I would come back for another try. read more

I wish I knew about this place sooner...well maybe for health purposes this is okay. The portions are insanely huge... I had a person ordering after me and as he watched the chicken being cut up his eyes literally bugged out. They essentially cut a quarter of a chicken for the 2 meat 2 side meal ($10.50). This was a first time so I thought I would order a couple different things to see what I liked. The other meat was the pork shoulder, and parts or it were a little fatty, but I just cut around those pieces. Chicken was my favorite, super tender and flavorful. I have leftovers to last me another 2 meals at least, and I am uncomfortably full, but if you are feeling rather carnivorous, this is a good place to grab a meal... bang for a buck is an understatement. One additional note, the (spicy) bbq sauce is a little different, I want to say it was a little bit of an asian flair to it, I think I wasn't expecting it to taste the way it did so I didn't really care for it and the chicken and pork had enough flavor alone. read more

Love this place. A lot of food food for a little money. Sure it is not actual BBQ but it is much better than Panda Express next door. I have been here twice in the past week. First time there I got the BBQ pork, salad, and macaroni salad. The pork was tender and flavorful. The salad was crisp and had multiple toppings to choose from. The only downside was the macaroni salad which had 0 flavor. The second trip there I had to get the pork again since it was so good last time, it did not disappoint. I also got a side order of the roasted chicken. While it was a bit fatty and I found a bone in there, it was still just as good as the pork. The salad was the same as the first time but this time I got the steamed rice salad. It was oddly sweet but still much better than the macaroni. I also tasted the bean salad which was just as sweet but still tasty. + Loads of food for only $5 + Pork and chicken are super good + Customer service is great - Meat is a bit fatty - Macaroni is under-seasoned Definitely give this place a shot. Great prices for great food. Not truly a BBQ Joint - Correct. But they are a hell of a lot cheaper than a true BBQ joint -maybe 1/2 the price. And very friendly. They will give make a custom made green salad with your choices of toppings as a side. And the meats are very tasty. Also, They will trim off as much of the fat as you desire. I want to start by clarifying that this is asian fusion bbq, not "real" bbq. Their food is good, if a bit under salted. Not a fan of the potato salad which is more like mashed potatoes, but the macaroni salad is yummy, and the cornbread comes with this delicious honey butter sauce. The beans are a bit spicy but delicious too, they add a bit of pineapple juice so again, its a bit different from traditional beans. Brisket and chicken are great, not a huge fan of the pulled pork. In honor of the Olympics, we wanted to have some Korean BBQ for the opening ceremonies. We decided to give Red Bee BBQ a try and we are not likely to go back. I placed my order online but when my husband went to pick it up they had no reference to it. We got the family meal which comes with 6 types of meat and 6 side dishes. We got a variety of items since it was our first time here. We found most of the meat to be really dry and the sides not very exciting. For the price, there is no better BBQ in the area. Comparable BBQ restaurants tend to be hit or miss on quality not to mention 3x the price - Red Bee is pretty consistent and always cheap. For a three meat combo, it is about $13. I usually get the pulled pork, beef brisket, and teriyaki chicken or spicy dark meat chicken when they have it. The pulled pork is the star of the show. The brisket can be dry, but is still delicious. Their sides are incredible - potato salad and macaroni salad are great! Their garden salad has lots of topping choices, such as picked radish and bean salad. Their cornbread is excellent and their beans have small chunks of pineapple. Their kids meal comes with a meat, two half sides, choice of drink, and chips and is only $5! My son generally has plenty of leftovers. If you are looking for the best BBQ, look elsewhere, but if you are looking for a budget-friendly BBQ in town, this is the place. To purchase the food yourself and make it at home will cost you the same if not more. Customer service is always excellent! read more

I didn't want to believe the bad reviews. OMG this place sucks. My stomach is in convulsions after eating the beans, brisket, coleslaw(tossed most of it. You have to walk through the kitchen to use the rest room and everyone hovers around you like a parasite. I wanted this to be good, it just isn't. Why eat here when Panda has same stuff(better) and there is no place to sit. Change it to take out only. As I entered there was some white guy talking with the owner saying that starting tomorrow it is changing to southern BBQ. well I ate the crock pot brisket with no flavor today and it sucked. This strange white guy was giving recipes to the owners and trying to help them. All I can do is base my review on what I see and eat. I really don't want to knock this place because they are very nice people and the food isn't bad, but it needs to be said that this isn't worth the nearly 5 star rating. Firstly the quality, preparation and cooking of the meat is lacking. They don't properly trim the brisket for instance and leave way too much fat on it, they over cook the sliced pork and the chicken skin is not fully crispy, but the main issue is that it's not actual bbq. This meat is cooked in an oven and held in steam trays which makes it a bit over cooked. There is a very distinct difference between this and real bbq. Real bbq is cooks low and slow and on a grill or smoker with wood. In CA you can fool people because they don't now the difference and have never had the real deal. That being said, the food is tasty and cheap and the people working there are nice. It's not horrible but it's not really something I am rushing to get back to. read more
