When my aunt told me that we were going here and its a go to spot for my cousins I was pretty skeptical because of the rating and some of the mixed reviews I saw! The service was very direct. Our server came and just asked what we wanted and then left the table to put in the order. Then the food came out not too long after. Came here on a Friday night to celebrate my dad's 60th birthday and was REALLY disappointed with the service. We had a party of 14 and we pretty much ate on top of our own filth. They never came to collect our empty plates and dishes until we finished nor did they check to see how our table was doing. The dishes piled up as we had to stack plates upon plates. Also, one of the ladies that was serving our soup did not realize that she was spilling our soup as she held it. I kept telling her that she's spilling our soup and she just stood there and did nothing until a worker told her that the soup was spilling. They did not replace it nor apologize. They just placed it on our table and walked away. I brought a cake for my dad's birthday for us all to sing and they just gave it back to us in the box. Most places I go to have the candle on it and is ready to serve but this restaurant didn't care at all. We had to go back home to blow his cake and not all of our party was able to go and sing happy birthday to my dad. The stars given were solely based on food which is the only good thing there, but after this, it makes me rethink if it's even worth going anymore. At the end of our dinner, I told the front how disappointed I was especially in celebration of my dad and she gave an excuse of wanting to give our table privacy which is why they didn't check on us much. They really did not deserve the 18% gratuity that's already placed and they said "due to policy", I couldn't lower it for their terrible service. i LOVEEEEEE this place!!! i eat pho more often than i'd like to admit and i was looking for a place closer to where i live and found red chili. i ordered the chicken pho and it was SO yummy and flavorful!! the chicken was delicious (and didn't have any of those squishy fatty pieces that some other places include which i truly appreciated) i also ordered the spring rolls which were also so good. the place is pretty roomy, lots of tables and places to sit. they had music playing as well, the ambiance was great. i've gone twice now and im sure ill keep going back and ordering the chicken pho again! the service was also great, servers were really nice and attentive. i will say there is parking in front, but it fills up quick so i always park on the left of the restaurant. aside from that, i love this place :) will be comin back for more!! read more

I also saw that they had garlic noodles on for cheap so I ordered that too. Everything was wonderful, well seasoned good authentic flavors. The pho had a good forward anise flavor, and I'll definitely be ordering it again. The garlic noodles were not complicated and delicious. They use a nice chewy wheat noodle and it's very good. I eat here often and never have any issues but today I had dinner delivered and the roti came with hair baked into it. I called the restaurant and the service response was horrible. They didn't apologize for what happened or try to hear me out they just asked me to bring it back in order to get a refund. I understand only being able to offer a refund in person but it's poor customer service to not even apologize for hair being found in food and asking someone who had the food delivered to make the drive and return it. read more

I believed the owner is Vietnamese. I usually order my food to go but last night we decided to dine-in due to my craving for Thai, so why not visit the old stomping ground. As we sat down, the waitress prompted us with their menu and took our drink orders right away. We asked for water and their Thai iced tea. When we were ready, we decided to get their fish sauce chicken wings, fried tofu, pad kee mao (my favorite), and pad kra pao. Food was great and service was on point. Not sure why people give this establishment a low rating. Just remember when you're at an Asian restaurant sometimes they don't believe in their services but let their food do the talking. Well last night they did both! Food ratings: -Fish sauce chicken wings: 4/5, crispy, a hint of sweet and umami flavor -fried tofu: 3/5 the wife loves them, I didn't care much. Green curry tasted better last time when I had ordered to go. It has less spices this time and feels like more diluted. I wouldn't try their okra again. Not my thing. Tom Kha was tasty. I've been coming here for years. I first found them in fremont/newark area and just loved the flavors of their Thai food. Unfortunately they closed but still had their original location off mission. It's a bit of a drive getting there due to Bay Area traffic lol but we love coming here to eat great food. Owners are always super kind. Always clean and never felt like anything was dirty. It's a hole in a wall place along Mission Blvd, the place looks small from the outside but it's big inside and clean. It has minimal parking in front but more parking in the back. The food is very good! A good menu selection. I think they make the best Roti at this place! We also ordered a Vietnamese crepe, salted fish and chicken fried rice and Tom Yum soup. I never have any complaints with the food because the food is always exceptional. I have ordered from them so many times now, but the service is always changed depending on who you are being served from. This time I have ordered takeout and I was asked to send a Zelle request. Now please don't mistaken me because in the past this restaurant has asked me for my credit card info so they could charge my account if the total amount is over $50 which I have said that's fine but I'm starting to realize that if you are ordering takeout, ordering two items will automatically put you over $50 so you no matter what have to provide your credit card info which is highly inconvenient and intrusive and can compromise any private banking information to this location depending on who is serving you or how many different employees are you providing your information too? We ordered panang curry with chicken mild, pad kee mao with beef mild, and the roti canai. I was so happy to see how big their roti looked in the pictures. Came for the 20th anniversary buffet all the way from SF! 20 years is such a great milestone and wanted to show our support. We don't frequent Hayward, but saw this anniversary buffet on TikTok and have never experienced a Thai buffet so we truly believed it was worth the drive (and it was!) It was about a 45 min wait, but there was great line management by the staff. Fellow Hayward patrons were so friendly in line as well (shoutout to you guys). Staff was attentive, constantly filling the buffet and making sure everyone had water and beverages. Food was HOT and FRESH! They were on it. Overall such a great experience!
