Yummy place! We split a Pad Thai & Green Curry, it was delicious. Service wasn't anything special but they did accommodate my many allergies. Casual and cozy vibe, really enjoyed!

This is my go to Thai spot in Hayward! Plenty parking in the back lot. Food is amazing as always. This time I picked up some Pad See Ew with hot spice level for a quick lunch. Pad See Ew is already so good on its own. Not many Thai spots offer real spice levels that actually has a kick that hits but this pad see ew surprised me. It was perfect, no notes! Perfect ratio of everything and perfect spice level for me. I've been to Thailand before and even the pad see ew I had over there wasn't this good.

Haven't been here since right before covid hit. It was one of our favorite thai spots and the food is still just a delicious as we remember it. The service is great the staff still very friendly and you can pretty much order anything on the menu and expect it to hit the spot. Very cool spot updated decor and love the background music they play. Goes very well with your meal. Totally recommend this hayward spot.

On my recent visit to Cali I had a hankering for some decent Thai food, ended up at Red Chili. Upon entering the restaurant we were pleasantly surprised, the space is open, very clean and moderately decorated. The service here is great, straight down to business, greeted order your food promptly and enjoy your meal. We ordered a bunch of appetizers & Mains off their extensive menu. All the dishes came out piping hot & delicious! The Honey walnut wasabi prawns & the Roti Canai were top tier..highly recommend! Great local spot in the Bay Area for some take out, or a solid weeknight meal. Pro tip:If you're not into spice let em know, even our non spicy dishes had a kick to them.

It's been over a decade since I've been back! Grabbed lunch with my girls on a Friday. We shared three dishes and it was a good amount of food, since we don't put away a lot lol. We got pork and shrimp spring rolls with avocado in it (my friend specifically requested for the avo, so they accommodated for an extra $1). I thought the spring rolls were just alright. The veggies were overpowering so it tasted super healthy. It came with peanut butter dipping sauce but the sauce was runnier than I'm used to. I think I would've enjoyed the spring rolls with fish sauce more. The larb salad was decent. I do wish that we got it with ground pork instead of chicken, because the chicken was a bit dry. But overall I liked the fish sauciness of the dish and enjoyed it with lettuce cups. The pad kee mao was the best dish. It was flavorful and the noodles were cooked well. Would recommend getting this one!

Came back again after the initial yelp event happened and this place is really good! Because my girlfriend was raving about the chicken wings in fish sauce; we had the wings and rad na again! Both of them are really flavorful, I can see why this place has been around for so long now. The wings themselves are a little sweet with a little bit of salty, crispy when we got our dish and super flavorful. Honestly, I could probably eat these all the time. 5/5* The Rad Na was good, I'm one who likes a lot of sauce and these noodles are essentially sauce covered. The thing I like about them the most is the wok flavor that you get from the initial bites. 4/5* The roti canai was good as well! I wish there was a little more of the roti for dipping as we had a good amount of the sauce left over. 4/5* My pictures below aren't from what we ordered because we were so hungry we forgot to take pictures, so instead I posted some from the actual event. From what I recall the lettuce wraps were good as well! I'll definitely come back here again! My only gripe is that there wasn't really a sign pointing to the parking lot in the back, so you almost don't know it exists. It's really easy to miss if you're not specifically looking for the restaurant itself as well.

This place is great! I'm always looking for decent Thai food in the area - asked around and was told to stop by here. Didn't disappoint and it doesn't break the bank. What we ordered: - Tom Yum Wings: very mild flavor, not spicy at all but very crispy - Salted Fish and Chicken Fried Rice: I loved this dish, I think their version is better than the Chinese version! They don't skimp on the salted fish, the chicken is velvetted and tender, and the added kick (mild) was the cherry on top!! Highly recommend if you like this kind of fried rice. - Pad See Ew: really standard but in a good way! Again, they really know how to cook their chicken, very tender! - Pad Thai: also very standard and not too sweet! Always a hit - Choo Chee Fish Filet: fish was so tender and the curry had quite a kick so be careful if you don't like spice. I loved it! - Herbal Lettuce Wrap: if you like Nam Khao, then you will like this dish! It is deep fried rice and every single grain is so crispy. It comes with a lettuce wrap so you can pretend that it's healthy. So good and great for sharing!! The service here is relatively fast and efficient. They have a tiny parking lot (just a few spaces) so you might have to park in the plaza next door, and they also close after 2:30 and reopen for dinner, so keep that in mind!

Stopped in for lunch and tried their lunch special, which I always appreciate at Thai spots. It comes with a small salad and soup, and prices start at $14.50 depending on the protein. I went with the green curry with beef. They brought out a complimentary tom yum soup first. Not my favorite. It had way too much tofu and had a different flavor I was hoping for. The salad was fresh but barely had any dressing, so it felt kind of plain. The green curry itself was solid. I asked for it spicy and the server warned me their spicy is very spicy, but mine ended up being pretty mild. Still tasted good though. I also got the herbal lettuce wrap, also known as nam kao. Their version is a bit different since it doesn't include pork skin and has minced ginger, but it was still really flavorful. I'd definitely order it again. Overall, I'd come back. The lunch deal is affordable and the portions are fair. Might try something else next time to mix it up.

Came here for dinner earlier tonight, party of 2. Our order: roti canai, green curry with beef, pumpkin curry (comes with shrimp automatically), and the crab fried rice. Total cost was $74 before tip and we went home with leftovers worth of 1 meal for 1 person. We got mild spiciness for both curries. Rice is NOT included automatically with the curry. Casual vibes, lots of seating inside. Pros: - the roti canai dip is really delicious, and the green curry was a highlight for me as well. Crab fried rice was delicious and the perfect thing to eat the curries with. - Service was pretty quick - Lots of options on the menu, something for everyone (actually kind of made deciding kind of hard, there's so many good options on the menu) - Very reasonably priced items - each dish is about $17 ish which I think makes sense regarding the quantity - beef in the green curry was so tender and delicious Cons: - really small parking lot in front that fits 4-5 cars, otherwise parking could be tricky. There's an additional parking lot next door/behind that can be helpful - sometimes little mistakes can be made when you're ordering, which I think can be a language barrier - but this can easily be accommodated by double checking the order, etc. - I felt like the texture of the eggplant in the green curry was a bit too firm Overall I wouldn't mind coming back! Great thai food with lots of options for everyone.

Red Chili has some really awesome lunch deals that make it all worthwhile if you happen to come during the week. They have a lot of vegan friendly items which made me happy. While they aren't clearly marked anymore on the menu (minus the vegan egg rolls), you can ask the staff to make the item vegan and it's usually not an issue. I went with the Tofu Green Curry Lunch Special ($15) which included a small vegan-friendly soup, salad, rice, and main. The curry I had was very flavorful with lots of tofu and veggie pieces included. The soup was a nice touch so next time, I'd probably order a different main to offset having so much liquid during my meal. I also ordered their Vegan Egg Rolls ($9) which came with six half-pieces of fried taro, vermicelli noodles, and veggies wrapped rolls. Loved these! They also do Thai Iced Tea with boba ($6) and were able to use coconut milk to make it vegan friendly for me. Service was friendly but there wasn't much checking in after we received our food. You pay up front and get any to-go containers there. Overall, very happy with our meal and would come back again. There is very limited parking in front but they have a small lot in the back that can be used.

We came here on a weekend day during lunch and we were surprised at how spacious this place is. I counted at least 20 tables. There are 4-5 parking spaces in teh front and then more parking int he rear. We ordered the eggplant tofu dish and the rad na with beef. Our dishes did not come with rice, so we had to add that as a side for an additional $2. The eggplant tofu had great spices, but the eggplant was not tender -- it was more on the firmer side, which is not typical with these dishes. The rad na with beef was more bland than we would have liked. The noodles didn't have a ton of flavor, but the sauce was similar to the one in pad se ew. The Thai tea with boba was good and not too sweet. Our food came out lightening fast, probably not even 5 minutes after we ordered. Overall, this place had decent food and we would be willing to come back and try other dishes. The prices were reasonable as well.

I have been coming to this place for some years now... the food is very TASTY...the prices have gone up quite a bit though...that would be my chief complaing... nearly $20 for example for a cube steak rice plate... and rice plates as we all mostly know, are generally a rip off because you're paying out the hiney for a super small portion of the main entree (meat) and then getting a plate full of "French" rice in this case...which by the way IF you wanna upgrade to garlic noodles, its ***$3****!!!!! That's jus absurd, knowing the cost and ease of preparing noodles...it's insane. But these are the times we live in, thanks to Biden's admin that have led to massive price increases of everything everywhere in this country. So it is what it is. That all said, the food IS pretty tasty...their Tom Yum, is great...their Pho Dac Biet is good, it's all very tasty...just expensive, so can only eat occasionally as a splurge. The service is pretty good, the staff are mostly friendly. Lately though they've been falling behind in having online orders ready on time...last time i waited almost 20-30 minutes past my scheduled pick up time for a fairly simple order of 2 dishes and an appetizer...the usual we get, and they weren't even busy...they had like 3 tables going in the restaurant, so not sure what the deal was there, but would be nice to get my food when it's scheduled to be picked up... but in fairness, this is a more recent development...they used to have everything ready in minutes...so hopefully that day was just a fluke... But if you like Thai/vietnamese/burmese dishes, then this place is recommended, IF you can AFFORD it. read more

I normally fine in here but felt like eating comfortably at home. I paid $4.00 extra with this salad to have grilled shrimp. It literally has two shrimp..I also ordered mild & this is the spiciest salad I've ever had. I will probably in the future order elsewhere. The portion sizes are 1/3 what they used to be and come on $2.00 per shrimp (not even a prawn)... Very disappointed. Since we moved to hayward it has been our go to restaurant. Yesterday very disappointed with the service I got . called in & ordered To go food , this one particular person taking care of the cashier & order was very rude . The food ordered was not ready & so I was told to wait . I ask the girl how long & I instead of answering in a nice way she said You called 9 mins ago only& her demeanor was very rude & confrontation, & told me ,as a customer that I was rude , How can that be rude just asking if food is ready? I ask her name & turned her back @ me . Never again will I go to that Red Chile resto , never will I bring my friends & relatives or recommend this place .just because of this one rude associate . The other person nicely told me illl check your order. When I got home , I saw my receipt & saw the name of this person is DARLIN ( Asian girl ) Too bad , disappointed . Loved the food here. I think we found our new fave Thai spot in East Bay. The spicy crab noodle was great! The green curry had a very unique and wonderful taste. Garlic noodles were rich in flavor and a great option if you have kids! And the portions were quite generous. The staff was super friendly but very busy. This is a great dine in Or take out option. This place never disappoints! Love this place. It's so close to the house it's convenient for a Friday night meal instead of cooking on this warm Friday night. The staff is nice and the food is ready in 15-20 minutes. I never realized until today that there is parking in the back of the restaurant. Safe parking lot and super convenient. I have been coming here for at least 10 years and it is my go to spot for Thai food, always super delicious. So disappointed to be writing this review but today, while we were packing our left overs, we found a dime sized dead COCKROACH in our pad see ew. The server saw it and her initial response was, "I'm sorry" and she immediately took the plate so we were unable to take a photo. The server said she called the boss and they will remove that dish from our bill. Highly disappointed that they were still going to charge us for our meal. She called her boss again and finally they said they wouldn't charge us. Im in shock of how things were handled as a business. So many things to think about, was the roach in the pan and not cleaned? Was the food made and sat out and that's when the roach got in there? Was it on the plate and no one saw it? No matter how you think about it, it is absolutely disgusting and to make matters worse, they expected us to pay for it! Never coming here again. In the past, I've heard stories of rats and roaches at Red Chili and didn't want to believe it. Well, it actually happened to me and I saw the roach in MY FOOD. read more

I think their food is really good here. Me and my family have been going for years and we always love it. Their pad Thai is my mother's favorite and ours is the crab fried rice. The portions are good and there's always leftovers to take home. I think this is a really underrated spot that I wanted to shed light upon. read more

Different Vietnamese / Thai experience for a change.... Tired of the usual we ordered my husband an I changed things up to order. Well we were impressed! The food was real good. It was delivered from Grubhub. If there is one critique I would add is that the pork had a real strong kick to it for medium. My husband warns you, if you like it real hot, this is for you, if not order less spicy / hot. Vietnamese iced coffee was also tasty and flavorful as well. Decent food for the Hayward area...... Been coming here at least once a week but the last few weeks we noticed that the regular girl wasn't there and the quality of food and service got to be unacceptable. We were told 2 weeks ago that they were the weekend crew but today we confirmed our suspicions. For example I told her 2 eggs with the Korean ribs to be well done over hard and 2 please. Then we ordered the pepper garlic chicken breast, drunken noodles no onions please and 2 roti canai for our meal. My Thai ice tea didn't come until food was all served. The portions got smaller and today was noticeable big time. When have anyone gotten garlic pepper chicken to come with onions ...this one came with lots of onions even after I told them 2-3 x no onions and no cilantro please on our food. So the runny eggs were sent back as well as the garlic chicken. Instead of making me brand new eggs well done and over hard so the presentation would be nice they brought back 2 messed up eggs lost some egg whites along the way. The garlic chicken they just took the onions off as the chicken was cold and an onion was found under one of the chicken pieces . When confronted to the lady female owner she tried to argue by saying that they cooked brand new chicken dish. Please! Never argue with the customer and don't cut corners because we are not dumb! Beware and for sure we are not coming back. We noticed that at 630pm the restaurant only had 6 tables when in the past the place got Fully packed ....guess we were not the only ones who noted the downhill change! new owners just don't care about there previous customers and are disrespectful! I always make an online order for my family and miss new owner over here didn't want to give her name by the way is saying that I didn't place an order online when I clearly stated that I did and I was charged even showed them the receipt and email and they still didn't care. Praise Jesus - this place is actually really good! I was going to write a review regardless for the free Thai tea. However, once I tried the soup that comes with the lunch special, I was shocked. The spicy ness of the soup is legit - Thai spicy! The flavor of the basil chicken is so good as well. I would come back! (Even if there isn't a free Thai time with review). I recently visited Red Chilli THAI and had a very disappointing experience. Despite explicitly ordering vegetarian dishes, I was served meat. When I brought this to the staff, they were incredibly rude and dismissive. They have no understanding or respect for dietary preferences. Such a lack of professionalism and consideration is unacceptable. I would not recommend this restaurant to anyone looking for a respectful dining experience. I ordered Avaodo rolls vegan - served with shrimp ordered lettuce herbal wrap vegan - served chicken - When I asked the waiter about the mix-up, she had no idea what she was talking about. Instead of offering to exchange the dish, she said they could do nothing and refused to replace it. This was a horrible experience, and it's the worst place I've ever been to. I intend to speak with my attorney and will definitely pursue this further to ensure such incidents don't happen again in the future. When we mentioned that DoorDash didn't offer a veggie herbal wrap option, we had to specify "vegan" in the special instructions, indicating "no egg, no mushroom, and no eggplant." The waiter seemed clueless about what this meant, and it's disappointing that she didn't understand the instructions. It's clear she had no idea what she was talking about Note to the Owner - If this is how you want to run the restaurant - mark my words,. You can count your days in the food industry. We are traveling through town and picked Red Chili based on proximity. My husband is vegan so Thai is usually a safe choice. The front parking lot is small but there is a nice parking lot in the back with a rear entrance. My husband ordered hot green curry with sticky rice and really enjoyed it. He said 5/5 highly recommend. I ordered medium drunken noodles with chicken. It was delicious. Just enough spice to make my nose run but not burn. It had great flavor. We shared the vegan eggrolls which had the perfect crispiness and stayed hot. The dining room and bathrooms were clean. The staff was very friendly and our food was served quickly. The best Thai restaurant in the area. I've been coming here for the past 15 years and the quality is maintained at its highest. Every time I'm visited by friends from other states, I would bring them and enjoy the sumptuous, superb and authentic dishes that they serve. Don't forget to save some room for dessert. When you're jonesing for some Thai/Vietnamese food and you don't want to drive anywhere this place is convenient and available on Grubhub. Located on the corner of Industrial and Mission in a strip just North of Burger King. They have all the Thai classics including pumpkin curry and Papaya salad along with Pho. Their standout dish is the mango salad that comes with their salmon or fried trout. Wish it was on the salad menu. Curry is good and if you order medium spicy it has a nice kick to it. Last time we ordered our Mango Salmon was overcooked but the salad was yummy! Our pumpkin in the pumpkin curry was just barely cooked as in hard. The curries have a rich homemade taste to them, I'm ok with Maseri Thai Curry Paste if I'm making it at home, but I'm not ok when it's used at a restaurant. Unless they're able to do a Sandra Lee spin on it and then I wouldn't notice! Ordered Pad Thai with added fish and our container was packed with fish! Normally we don't have any pad Thai left but this time we had a lot. Fish was a mild white fish. The Pho is ok, but with all the Vietnamese places nearby I wouldn't order it unless I came with a group and wasn't feeling the curry. Reasonably priced, convenient and it has a cool name. read more

Established in 2004.

We are a husband and wife duo and are the owners of Red Chili. Sunny comes from a Vietnamese heritage while Lulu holds strong Thai roots, cultivating the inspiration behind this restaurant. As food is central to any culture, we opened up Red Chili two decades ago as a way to share our roots with the East Bay and, now, South Bay community, with the help of amazing staff. The prawns were so well cooked, and came in the most delicious egg & curry sauce. I loved the vegetables that came in the dish, as well. You can't go wrong with the tiger prawns, and they go so well with some jasmine rice on the side. Overall, we keep coming back for good reason! The ambiance is a little lacking with older carpeted floors and tables a little cramped together in an older building, but they make the best of the place here. I've had this place bookmarked for a year now, and I went there yesterday at 10am to get some food to go. I was greeted by a lady there. She was friendly and complimented my dress. I got a Carne Asada Taco, Al Pastor Taco, and a Gringa. I asked if they had chips and salsa, but she said they do have salsa but no chips. That's different. I've never been to a Mexican spot that didn't have chips. The place looked clean and vibrant. There were plenty of parking in the plaza. There were plenty of seating as well. Maybe it was still early so no customers were there when I was there. After waiting for about 5 mins, she brought me my bag of food. She complimented my look and bid a good day. So sweet & nice! I enjoyed the food when I got home. Everything was very yummy! The meats along with the veggies were all super tasty. The green salsa had a nice kick to it. The cucumber (?) slices were refreshing. I ordered the Super Burrito with half al pastor and half carne asada (no beans), and it was 1000/10. The employee recommended mixing both meats when I couldn't decide, and that was hands down the best suggestion. The combination was perfect! You could really taste how fresh the guacamole was, and both meats were flavorful, juicy, and cooked perfectly. The salsa on the side was also delicious--it had just the right amount of spice without overpowering the flavors of the burrito. On top of the great food, the customer service was excellent. Everyone was friendly, patient, and happy to make recommendations, which made the experience even better. If you're looking for a delicious, affordable burrito, I highly recommend this place. I'll definitely be coming back!

The Viet coffee was not very strong as it usually should be but overall it was okay. Staff was friendly but didn't check in during our meal.

Good Italian food is hit or miss on the East Bay corridor so we are happy to find a place halfway for everyone coming from Berkeley and Cupertino to have a good meal together.

Red Chili looks like a little hole in the wall from the outside, somewhat like a taqueria, but when you walk inside it's a whole different story. They have cute asian decor and great food presentation. Service is better than any Vietnamese restaurant in the area. I love the big-O spoon they give you when you order pho. It's more like a ladle than a soup spoon. The pho was average tasting, yet satisfying. They load it up with a whole lotta meat. The bowls are gigantic. Well worth the money. The combo rice plate was excellent. The grilled chicken had a delectable combination of marinade and lemon grass flavors. The eggrolls were ok, but the grilled shrimps were heavenly. And the garlic french fried rice that came with the combo plate is delightful. I also tried the honeydew smoothie (no pearls) which was so savory and sweet. I've tried a few other things on the menu before such as the fried trout with the sweet chili sauce, the spicy thai fried rice, the papaya salad, etc, and they were all scrumptious. The only thing that's "off" is the fish sauce. It's a little bit too sour. I'm used to a sweeter, spicier, fishier sauce and the fish sauce here was a little on the sour, vinegary side. It's all good though cause I still ate the hell out of it. Overall, this is a great lunch or dinner spot and worth every buck. read more

Yeah... better than average, that's for sure. So we went in about 1:30 on a Sunday afternoon... I thought slightly later than the average lunch crowd, but it was still pretty busy. Not wait in line for 20 minutes busy(else this review would have been different), but a pretty decent flow of people in and out. the food was pretty tasty... not over spiced or too hot, but it was flavorful. Now I'm not the kinda guy that likes hot food for the sake of it being hot. If that's the case, why eat the food when I can just pour a bottle of tobasco or whatever your spice of choice is directly into my mouth. I wasn't actually that hungry, so I just ordered a thai iced tea. A bit on the sweet side, but ok... the table next to us looked like they ordered pho, and it came in HUGE bowls.... I'll have to give that a shot next time. My wife ordered some little spring rolls, which I've never really been a fan of, and pad see. Pretty good stuff. Service was soso, not good, not bad... what you expect from a small family run restaurant or so. Overall I was pretty happy with this place... and it's good to know that there is a decent place like this to eat... and the fact that it's not some big chain(not that thai places usually are) is kinda cool.... a small good family place to go to read more

Terrible place! I rarely write bad reviews, but my experience at this business was so disappointing that I have to warn others, especially anyone considering them for a special event. I came in specifically to inquire about catering options and planning a party for my son a few months back, but the way I was treated was appalling. From the start, the staff showed no interest in helping me with my catering questions. When I finally managed to get someone's attention, they were dismissive and acted like I was a bother. I explained that I wanted to organize a memorable party for my son and needed details about their catering menu, but my questions were met with eye rolls and vague, unhelpful answers. No one offered to show me options or discuss packages, and it felt like they just wanted me to leave. The manager was nowhere to be found, and the staff seemed completely indifferent to the fact that I was looking to spend a significant amount of money on a special celebration. This was one of the worst customer service experiences I've ever had, and I will absolutely not trust them with any event in the future. If you are looking for a place to help you celebrate a special occasion, I strongly recommend looking elsewhere. They don't seem to care about their customers at all. read more

The service is very bad and the waitress who served us the food is horrendous . The waitress has no clue about customer service. To make the long story short we ordered Thai Basil Fried Rice with no meat and my 4 year old daughter asked for mango ice cream which they have listed in the menu card. When ordered the waitress point blank says there is no such ice cream, my daughter then showed the waitress the picture that they had in the menu card and told her Yes you have it listed in the Menu card.:) The waitress has no smile and what so ever and instead her answer remained the same , its is not there. Then she got us the thai basil friend rice and that's nothing but white rice and few vegetables and that's not what we used to get. When asked the waitress and she said this is it. Horrible service. I would never ever go back to this place. Very bad customer service. Finally we talked to the other waitress and she was nice enough to give us what she wanted. I love their food however their service have gone from bad to worse . This place has always had lack of management. The servers are not trained at all. This new server who speaks perfect English is horrible ! You need to fire her because I am finding another place to eat . Not worth the wait with stupid servers. This happened to me more than once . Number 1 ) I ordered house soup and she gave me plain broth . ( over charged me) 2) I asked for no pork and she gave me all pork .... 3) She forgot my side order too 4) She still overcharged me . (Good luck getting the menu when you are seated, you will have to chase someone down for water and a menu. ) Food is good but isn't great . ) SERVICE IS HORRIBLE!! read more

I went there on a sunday night. wow The place was packed. As far as vietnamese food and Pho go,, the place is very good. I would give it four stars for the food itself. But the big drawback was the service. I went on a date and the food came out at different times, Since I am polite and waited, by the time my date got her food, it was cold. It took another 10 minutes to get sauces and sprouts. They dont assign tables to servers so you get horrible service. if it is busy just walk away! I would not go back for that reason, and also because I am far away. but honestly if you are in the area and it isnt busy. go for it. you will enjoy. 1 star for service 3.5 stars for food 2 stars overall. read more

There was a strange grit in the pad thai ,maybe someone forgot to wash the green onions?) the chicken in the yellow curry chicken was extremely dry and there were pieces that were discolored and hardened that looked like they had been sitting around in the fridge or on the counter without being covered for an extended period of time, The beef from the noodle was dry as well and the noodles were so-so in texture once you got past the grease,Pho had too much MSG.Food was terrible and service was slow! So bad, that I had to write my yelp review about it so no one else has to experience this place. Pretty bad experience. Wouldn't come back here ever. read more

I've had a very disappointing experience at this place. They messed up my food multiple times, which caused me to waste a lot of time going back and forth to get it fixed. As a vegetarian, I clearly asked for no egg and no oyster sauce, yet my order was still prepared incorrectly. What made it worse was the staff's attitude. They were rude and did not even apologize when I addressed the issue. Instead of taking responsibility, they made the situation more frustrating. Customer service and attention to dietary preferences are very important, and unfortunately, this restaurant failed on both. I will not be returning. read more

Aww man I hate goin back to places ive loved and written good reviews to and then they change. After a long break I finally decided to go back to Red chilli with my friends and eat my favorite Chu-chi fish with brown rice and Spicy Seafood Tom-yum soup but I was just so dissapointed with the taste. What happened?! The food was sooo good! I found out they have a new cook but that shouldn't effect the quality of the food. to the owner- bring back the old guy or atleast his secret recipe! service is still good and on point. read more

This place been pissing me off lately. I hate their service now. They make you wait forever! What kind of shit is that? Makes me want to flip tables in there sometimes. The price use to be cool when the serving was bigger, now they give less serving. I eat at a lot of places, but if you know me well, i rarely finish my food in one sitting. If i can finish a whole dish of fried rice here, plus more, something is wrong. I think it's the thai people that is messing things up. They need to hire more vietnamese. read more

Nice spacious restaurant with traditional decor. Poor parking in a not easily navigable lot. If you sit at the front of the restaurant the car headlights will interrupt your dining experience. We ordered chicken pad Thai, yellow curry chicken and a red curry with tofu to go. Upon arriving home, we found no rice to accompany the curries and the pad Thai was suppose to be medium level spicy but little plain and was not spicy at all. Overall, the food was good but the need to work on their customer service. read more

they have really goooood thai food! i really like it here. i ate here 3 times and i still get the same great service! i tried the pho here and its ok.. i had to put hella hoisin sauce just to give it some flavor. i rather stick to a pho restaurant instead cause they give 50/50 meat and noodles. here i feel like its jus some meat and a lot of noodles. sorry im picky with my pho. but besides that i'll be coming back for more thai food. plus the hubby loves the food and the munchkin loves the waitress. read more

First impression was a bad one. The service is really slow. We were waiting for around 30 minutes and did not even receive a menu. When we brought it up they thought we ordered because we didn't have a menu, yet they didn't give us one in the first place. Nevertheless, the service is slow. Luckily the menu is online so we could tell them just to order what we want. Sad to say that my first review is a bad one. If you want great service, stay find a different place. read more

This has to be one one of the best Thai Food places Ive ever eaten at. I usually get the green curry, or the red curry with pineapples in it (i forget what its called). OOOH. The pineapple fired rice is amazing as well. And their Roti... Yummmm.. :) Not the nicest place inside, but we usually just order it to go and pick it up .. Their carryout orders are pretty quick and easy - just give them a ring on your way back home from work, and they'll take care of you. read more

We used to go here quite often and enjoyed all their food! But after what seems to be 2012, we stopped eating here as much. The food quality seem to of gone down and the prices have gone up. The portions remain the same but just didn't taste very good as it once did. The last time we ate here was maybe a year ago. Will have to try them again and see if things have changed. I like their fish red curry and fried rice. Tasty of good is okay but negative part is ready time of each plates are not similar. They served my food when my husbands almost done his meal.. Although restaurant was't so busy.. and servers didn't care about that situation.. And I dont like the waitress who wear weird glove when serving food. Red Chili is one of our favorite Pho joints in the bay. Unlike a lot of Pho places in the Bay, this one is actually fairly clean. The service is decent, but what makes this place great is their Pho. The soup is sooooo good. And when you're tired of pho, they have a good assortment of Thai food too. I remember going to this place with our college buds at CSUH after night classes. The food was amazing but did not like the service. My waiter was very rude and did not give me plates and utensils until I asked for it. By then my food got cold. Talk to the manager and he said she is new. When he went up to talk to her, they both were giggling and laughing at us. Rude and very unprofessional.
