    Shrimp fried rice

People rave about the food here. I ordered a simple shrimp fried rice and it had no flavor at all. The rice was white so how is it fried? We also ordered the Mongolian beef (meh...) bap (no one liked it) the Shu Mai was pretty good but that's it. I won't be returning. Oh the service was a perfect 10 though!!!

The food was excellent! Service was awesome! Well worth the money! We barely took home leftovers, it was so good!

Red Chili House is located near the heart of the Rancho Cucamonga with about 600 reviews and about a 4 star rating to its name. With the amount of high reviews coming from this spot next to the local 99 Ranch store, I figured it could be a good spot for some takeout. Ordering in on a Friday evening, their Kung Pao Chicken seemed appetizing at a price of $14, so I decided to order this along with a side of rice. Now compared to other restaurants, the Kung Pao Chicken at Red Chilli House is somewhat different in both their ratio and ingredient choices. For starters, the dish was only made up of three ingredients: chicken, peanuts, and chili peppers. Not only this, but the ratio was in favor of meat with only a few peanuts strewn about the dish. For $14 in the Rancho Cucamonga area, I enjoyed the portion size and how generous the portion of chicken was. Each piece was rather thick and the dish was full of meat. But to this fact, I would have wished for more peanuts or some accompanying vegetables. The taste of the dish was also a different take compared to other restaurants in the area. For this particular Kung Pao Chicken, the flavor was sweeter than normal....almost as if an Orange Chicken mixed with a Kung Pao Chicken. Not only this, but the Kung Pao Chicken itself was somewhat crispy and coated with sauce. If this doesn't bother you, then the dish could easily be a great option. Otherwise, the food was very tasty. Despite being covered with the sweet sauce, the chicken itself was both flavorful and leaned more on the dry side. The spice of the dish faded more towards the background, but was present nonetheless. Kung Pao Chicken is a very particular dish that usually is made in a specific manner. And with this unique take, I wasn't too sure at first about whether I was truly enjoying it or not. But after thinking about this dish more, I do find certain aspects of it to be charming. Sure the taste of the dish is definitely catered towards those craving "Americanized" Chinese food. However, I would argue Red Chilli House's Kung Pao Chicken easily deserves 4 stars for its generous portion of chicken and cohesive flavor. I would more than likely try something else the next time I drop by. But the Kung Pao Chicken here screams comfort in many great ways.

I was so looking forward to trying this place. We ordered a variety of different items. We ordered the beef noodles which seemed to be the best dish. We ordered the pork buns, shui mai, egg rolls, sizzling chicken plate, and pig ear. I would recommend the beef noddles and sizzling chicken plate. Definitely had to drench everything in chili oil and hot sauce. Was really hoping for more flavor with the dishes.

This is my second time here. The first time we ended up leaving because we waited about 20 minutes for the food and we had a doctors appt we were going to be late to, so we canceled the order. This time we didn't have an appt. We came around 2pm on a Tuesday. We were the only ones here, yet the food still took about that long to arrive! Service was alright. We wanted dim sum in the area. I would say none of the dim sum restaurants are as good as Rowland Heights. We were desperate. The prices here are reasonable. The portions are small. I ended up ordering more food because we were still hungry. Likes: Beef chow fun was good. They didn't skimp on the beef. Shrimp har gow was pretty close to the authentic ones. Mocha cream bun and Mango Pomela buns were unique and tasty! Dislikes: pork ribs had very little meat on the ribs. It didn't taste right. Xiao long bao was over cooked. Did not have enough soup in it. Butterfly shrimp was skinny and too fried. I would say that Get Sum Dim Sum in Ontario would be my preferred place to go

We came here on a Thursday night for an early dinner. This was our second time we've been here in less than 2 weeks and definitely didn't disappoint. The waiter was very friendly and kept refilling our water without asking. My family ordered the following items: walnut shrimps that came with French fries (10/10, both my son and husband's favorite dish of the night) large slightly battered shrimps with a sweet mayo glazed over it, the candied walnuts were ok, beef chow fun (10/10, my favorite dish) large portions with large pieces of marinated beef with lots of bean sprouts, sweet and green onions (chef's kiss), orange chicken (8/10) it came out piping hot out of the kitchen, the chicken has a semi-thicker batter and was well coated in the orange sauce, the steamed broccoli was an excellent palate cleanser, Mongolian beef (10/10, love all the extra sweet onions in the dish), if you love onions like I do, this dish won't disappoint, the beef is marinated really well wok fried with all that sweet onions is absolutely delicious, and the last item was the chef's special green beans (10/10) this dish is definitely a knockout, it's fried crispy with tons of garlic and very very well seasoned. Overall, our experiences here have been absolutely fantastic and my family can't wait to go back and try their many other dishes that they offer..

My mother and I drove from Orange County to Rancho Cucamonga to visit the new MINISO store. After shopping, we decided to dine at Red Chilli House, conveniently located in the same shopping center as MINISO. Although the restaurant is not spacious, it has ample seating for those who wish to dine in, though many patrons opt for takeout. I am delighted that we visited Red Chilli House, as the cuisine was phenomenal, boasting great flavors, fresh ingredients, and generous portions at a reasonable price point. The service was satisfactory, with minimal communication required after ordering. However, we felt attended to, for example by the courteous gentleman who periodically provided us with fresh napkins, demonstrating a thoughtful and attentive demeanor.

I keep coming back to Red Chili House Chinese restaurant since I relocated to Rancho Cucamonga three years ago. It is my default Chinese restaurant for good reason. The food consistently stands out for its fresh ingredients and authentic flavors. Every dish I've tried tastes homemade and true to traditional recipes, which is rare to find elsewhere in the area. It is a testament to the chef's dedication to using authentic ingredients when I learned that their wonton soup is made of long-simmered broth instead of MSG-added water! What really sets this place apart is the value. The prices are at least 30% lower than comparable restaurants with similar quality, making it a fantastic option for anyone who wants great food without breaking the bank. The portions are generous, and you can taste the care put into each meal. Beyond the food, the restaurant has a low-key, welcoming vibe. The staff is friendly, and the atmosphere is relaxed--perfect for a casual meal after a busy workday or catching up with friends. I get to know the owner-chef who takes real pride in his work. It's the kind of place where you immediately feel at home. Highly recommended for anyone in Rancho area seeking authentic Chinese cuisine at an affordable price!

The roasted duck was spectacular, crunchy skin and flavorful meat. Perfect seasoning. The orange chicken is a must. Crunchy and so so tasty. Every chicken pieces were crunchy and no bad pieces in this batch. This is not your panda Express orange chicken or Panda Inn, this is your Mr Chows Beverly hills orange chicken. The quality is un-matched. I don't know what these noodles are but they are crunch and delicious. I am so satisfied, and I also love the prices too, very good for this quality. Chicken dumplings had a good filling to wrapper ratio, but the filling needed way more seasoning. It just tasted like wet, mushy stuff inside, and drowning the dumpling in chili oil barely helped. And the two fried dishes weren't flavorful either--they weren't dredged very well, so they just tasted like oil. This was especially disappointing for the scallion pancake, since it looked nice...but didn't taste of scallions at all. Overall, really disappointing. I might give it a try at a different location if the opportunity comes up, but with the menu being rather small, I'm not even sure it'd be worth the time.

This place can probably fit 40 people, it's so small. We tried a few items such as their beef roll, wonton with chili sauce, their seven grams xlb, , fried mini buns, noodle with scallion oil sauce, and potato string shrimp. Their seven grams xlb was disappointing, the broth and meat inside didn't have any flavor to it IMO. The mini buns were sweet and heavy, and we split one and didn't touch the rest. The noodle with scallion sauce was just okay...again, not much flavor. I didn't like the potato shrimp at all, too doughy and hard. The beef rolls were just okay to me, again kinda bland without dumping it in shoyu and vinegar). The best dish was their spicy wontons. It had a nice kick to it and we saved the sauce to dump everything else we ate in it lol.

The Golden Prime Beef Soup, on the other hand, packs a serious kick. If you can't handle much spice, definitely let the staff know. Luckily I got a regular-customer/birthday dinner exemption. They made it clear this was a one-time special and we could only get dumplings... which worked out perfectly because dumplings were all I wanted. The monster was briefly terrified at the thought of being denied, but the second they said yes -- OH MY G!!! We ordered three rounds of the classic soup dumplings, one order of the black truffle dumplings, and one order of the chocolate dumplings for dessert. This was our first time trying the black truffle dumplings and I felt like I was at a blackjack table. I kept saying "hit me again, hit me again, hit me again" until they were gone. Definitely worth the little extra. Then came the OGs. After demolishing a small country's worth of black truffle dumplings, I moved on to the classics -- perfect like always. AMBIANCE 5.5/10…read more After spending way too long trying to decide what to eat, we finally settled on seafood boil and landed on The Big Catch because of their all-you-can-eat option. Walking in, our first impression wasn't great the building looked a little run down. Once inside, though, the vibe improved. It had a rustic sports bar feel with TVs everywhere, an open bar, and a seafood station. Nothing fancy, but not terrible. EXPERIENCE 7/10 The service was one of the better parts of the visit. Our waiter was friendly, attentive, and took the time to answer our questions and recommend a few items. The food took a little while to come out. BTW there's a 90 minute limit after we were seated and the second round of our seafood took 30 minutes to come out (they apparently forgot our order) and they proceeded to tell us we had last call right after our second round of food barely got to the table. Not sure if that's done on purpose but we really didn't really appreciate that. Overall though, the staff definitely made the experience better. THE FOOD 5/10 Here's where things started to fall apart. The first all-you-can-eat platter came with two snow crab clusters, 1/2lb crawfish, 1/2lb mussels, 1/2lb peeled shrimp, plus unlimited sides. One thing that caught us off guard and maybe we just missed it on the menu is that after your first round, you can no longer order the snow crab or peeled shrimp. That was disappointing since those ended up being the best seafood options on the table. The snow crab was solid, and the peeled shrimp were surprisingly good the texture was crunchy and we didn't get any fishy smell or flavors. Everything after that... not so much. Round two included whole shrimp, clams, and scallops. The portions were noticeably smaller, and almost everything tasted like it had been frozen for too long. The crawfish lacked freshness, the whole shrimp had the same issue and were mushy without the initial crunch additionally the shrimp was hard to peel which makes us think that it was POSSIBLY reheated, and the scallops were tiny with a strong fishy flavor that made them hard to enjoy. Even the House/Cajun seasoning didn't do much to save it. It was too oily and honestly just tasted like salt, there was no spiciness either and we got the hot flavor. Ironically, the sides ended up carrying the meal. The cucumber salad was fresh and crunchy, which balanced out some of the heavier seafood, and the sweet potato fries were honestly one of our favorite things we ordered. And one last thing... somehow even the water tasted off. What We'd Order Again Snow Crab Clusters Peeled Shrimp Fish Taco Sweet Potato Fries Cucumber Salad Sausage Corn Skip These Whole Shrimp Clams Mussels Scallops Crawfish House/Cajun Seasoning Cajun Fries Cajun Wings Boiled Egg Water Final Rating If you're going for the all-you-can-eat seafood, don't expect premium quality. The first round is decent, but once the crab and peeled shrimp are off the table, the meal drops off pretty quickly. Would we come back? Definitely not. We ended up paying 90$ for 2 people which you can argue is good since it's an AYCE seafood meal but afterwards after speaking to the waiter we found out the shrimp and crawfish was indeed frozen that along with all the other disappointing food doesn't make us feel like it was worth the money. Overall Gassington Rating: (5/10)

Food was good, we were looking for a seafood boil spot since we haven't been in years and were in…read morethe area. The prices were comparable to other similar places but this place also offers all you can eat (except holidays) but we did not do this as we did not have the appetite. Plenty of parking and close to Ontario Mills. Staff were very friendly. Restaurant could use a facelift in some areas like the restroom but overall relatively clean. We ordered 2lbs medium spice house seasoned whole shrimp with corn and an egg, cucumber salad, and Cajun fries. The cucumber salad has a soy/vinegar sauce. We ordered it mainly to cut the butter/salt from the other stuff, it was decent, there was a little bitterness from the cucumber. The shrimps were nice and plump, only 1-2 were overdone at the bottom of the bag. The flavor was tasty, though I would have liked chunks of garlic in the bag to enhance more flavor. The basil was different than most places we've frequented, a welcomed surprise. Although we ordered medium spice, I think it was more on the mild side. The Cajun fries had a nice bite to them, but were simply fries with seasoned salt/Cajun seasoning on top...I've had better but they went well with the shrimps. Corn was sweet and egg was fine.
