So, the Classic burger with fries was only $7. The Sweet Cheeses burger with a side was $9. In either case these were a great deal in today's prices. I guess we were the last to know of this special. We walked in and the place was packed. We got one of the last open tables. By the time we left there was a line waiting for a table. Given their burger special I certainly understand the line. You can call ahead and get a reservation. One other comment. When it came time to pay the tab our server came to the table with a portable pad type machine. I keep trying to go back, but every time is worse than the last. I do love their food, but I will drive out of my way to one of the other locations versus going to this one. This is exactly what you think of with an upscale bar and grill. Typical menu with many elevated options as well that made it stand out from an ordinary bar. So, Yessica was our server and dumped ice water in my lap. And I still had a great lunch! She was brand new and sweet. She felt so bad! But my birddog shorts were dry in a few minutes. My wife got the coconut chicken salad which came with two monstrous obscenely huge chicken breast on it. We go here often and really enjoy brunch on the weekends. The beignets and mimosas are super good. I usually order the prime rib hash. Pieces of tender steak, diced potatoes and an egg the way you like. We have also had chicken and waffles and chicken strips. We've been to the Red Door Grill several times, but this was our first brunch visit. The breakfast menu was small, but mighty, brimming with confidence and offering options like KC's Best Pancakes and Kiss My Biscuits & Gravy. We were skeptical. Come on, like a bar joint is really going to have KC's best pancakes? Our server, Kobe, walked up to greet us and take our drink order. He was friendly and welcoming, in an above and beyond sort of way that gave the appearance he really enjoys his job and was actually happy to wait on us. He offered suggestions, told us the pancakes were no joke, and even persuaded my wife to try the trifecta (blueberry, strawberry and bananas with chocolate chips). She's old school and not a fruit and pancakes kind of girl, but yet here we are. The B&G was tasty and didn't disappoint, but the real star of the morning was RD's pancakes, three large griddle cakes stuffed inside with flavorful goodness that earned several mmm, mmm, mmms from the Mrs. They were all delicious, but the blueberry and strawberry ended up being our clear favorites. The only thing missing was the bacon, but we fixed that by adding a side dish, because let's be honest, everything is better with bacon. Kobe checked on us often, joining in on our conversation about the pancakes to see if we liked the one he recommended best (chocolate chip and bananas) - and laughing sheepishly and slightly embarrassed when my wife said she did not. We eat out a lot and rarely experience such a genuine, friendly level of service with crave worthy food to boot. So went back to RD last night with my wife to use the gift card sent to us by the manager for the disappointing meal last time. Glad to report that our meal was delicious. We started with the Calamari which had a great breading served with coctail sauce and I think some kind of jalapeno sweet and sour sauce. Delicious! I got the Big Gary's Meatloaf with mashed potatoes and gravy and steamed vegetable mix on the side. The mashies were real, not from any mix, the meatloaf was very flavorful and the veggies were a nice mix of sliced carrots, string beans and brussel sprouts. Took home 1/2 of my plate. My wife got the Nachos with chicken, nice balance of all the ingredients, and again had plenty to take home. Sorry, no pictures, too busy people watching and eating. 10/25/2020 So this place was recommended for brunch so we gave it a shot. I have seen the Red Doors but never ventured inside. The staff was nice, the atmosphere was cool and the bathroom was clean+. Now we had a group (2) of guests that were super loud even though they were several tables away ( obnoxious ). I ordered the Big Burrito and this thing has some great flavor to it. I would defiantly get it again, however, the side of potatoes was bland, good texture, and size but it and flavor were not together on my plate. The jalapeno salsa seemed watered down and I chose not to use it for my burrito. We had an order of Beniegts that was small but flavorful all the same. My wife ordered the vegetable frittata which she and my son enjoyed it thoroughly.
