Decent jajangmyeon. Pretty thick sauce but didn't feel super heavy. Flavorful. Pickled radish and onion was not outstanding but still good to cut through. Noodles were a bit too soft for my liking.

The food isn't as good as it used to be, and the dishes came out looking sloppy. The service wasn't great either -- the staff seemed indifferent. I've been here many times before, but this visit was really disappointing. I won't be coming back.

5/5 for service, ambience and food. M Garden has such a lovely vibe with the cozy plant decor and friendly service. The lunch combos (ranging from $22-27) are always so filling and the perfect amount of food. Whether you're a jjamppong or jjajang lover, you can get your favorite noodles and also try another dish, such as Mongolian beef or kkanpung shrimp on the side with the lunch meal. The Mongolian beef is amazing, with the perfect blend of sweet and smoky flavors, which inspired me to write this review. My personal favorite jjampong- fire, with noodles cooked to perfection every time. Your meal is accompanied by an appetizing egg drop/ mushroom soup and the best jasmine tea. Love this place, don't let this classic be forgotten in your Chinese-Korean food rotation!

Came here for the jajangmyeon and will say it was a solid 7/10. Wish it had more earthy flavor but this place may have been founded by a chef that specialized in it (from the Swiss hotel?) I google translated an article they have posted outside the restaurant. Was pleasantly surprised by the mushu pork and eggplant. The eggplant was battered which is different than most garlic eggplant dishes I've had before. Once it soaked up the gravy and sauce, it tasted better and less dry. This place is very large inside, and tables are seated super close to each other (which makes sense to accommodate more people), but it was a bit snug! There were lots of smaller private rooms along the sides which would be good for events!

Rice, sauce for pork, jiajangmyeon, green beans, sweet and sour pork

We were in the area and turned to Yelp to find a dinner spot--it led us to this place. We were craving jiajangmyeon, and it turned out to be perfect: rich, flavorful, and delicious. We also ordered the sweet and sour pork, which was a unique twist on the traditional version you'd find at a Chinese restaurant. Instead of being drenched in sauce, the pork came dry-fried with a sweet and sour dipping sauce on the side. I really liked this approach--it lets you control how much sauce you use, and the addition of woodear mushrooms in the sauce was a nice touch. We also had the sautéed green beans, and they brought out a bowl of rice to go with everything, which was appreciated. Overall, it was a satisfying and enjoyable meal. And the complimentary candied sweet potato treat at the end? A nostalgic surprise--it tasted just like how my dad used to make it.

I had no idea this place existed until recently because I'm in this area all the time and can't believe I slept on it for this long. The ambiance here easily reminded me of one of my favorite Chinese/Korean spots in Garden Grove (Peking Gourmet). And if you've read my reviews, you already know I live for a jajangmyeon + tangsuyuk combo. Service left a lot to be desired, but let's be real you don't come to a place like this expecting 5-star service. The truth is in the food. Jajangmyeon - Huge portion (def sharable) and super reasonably priced. The noodles were slippery, chewy, and perfect. Solid 8/10. Tangsuyuk - They definitely use potato starch here and it shows. Perfect chew, crisp coating, and the pork was moist (not dry at all). Easily a 9/10 - probably one of the better versions I've had. Overall, this spot is a strong contender and I'll definitely be back whether that be for takeout or getting my monthly fix of jajangmyeon and tangsuyuk.

Haven't been here in YEARS but my family used to come here all the time. We celebrated so many birthdays in the private room. I heard that they changed ownership but the food still hits the same My sister & I ordered 2 lunch specials. We got the kkangppong shrimp + black bean noodles & the tangsuyuk + spicy seafood noodles Both the noodle dishes were amazing, the black bean noodle is always a classic. The jjamppong was soooo good, literally my favorite. The noodles are perfect! So chewy and holds flavor so well. broth was so rich with flavor and had the perfect kick of spiciness Service was great! The servers are extremely attentive and fast. They're really nice too I can't to come back & I highly recommend to anyone who wants some really good Korean/Chinese food

    Starters on all tables.

Service here is great, very polite and friendly. I always come here for their black bean noodles. This time I also ordered their sizzling rice soup, which was ok. They changed owners a long time go, the only difference is that it is a different paint color for years now and higher prices.

New Garden M Restaurant is a Korean-Chinese-style spot that is great for family and friends of large groups. This place is family style so the portions are all sharable. Came here for a birthday and were seated in one of their private rooms. You can enjoy some delicious food with a wide variety of menu items. I like the seafood noodles the most! It has so many ingredients inside and just a nice light broth. My friends enjoyed this deep-fried pork item that you dip into a sauce. Overall we had a good time with a large party of 18. They also let us make reservations early to be able to hold the tables for the private room.

Foodie Adventure Chapter 1: New Garden RH My friends never tried Korean Style Chinese food at a traditional Chinese family restaurant with the large round tables with the spinning revolving center. We gotta check out @newgarden.m_rh in Rowland Heights because it's been there for years! Overall we had a great time and can't wait for more foodie adventures! What did we order? 쟁반짜장 (Jaengban Jjajang) - Imperial Style Jjajangmyeon 양장피 (Yangjangpi) - Celebration Cold Noodle Dish of thinly sliced beef with vegetables and a savory mustard sauce. 돼지 탕수육 (Dweji Tangsuyuk) - Sweet and sour pork (tangsuyuk) made with pork. 깐풍기 (Kkanpunggi) - Sweet and spicy deep-fried chicken dish. 청파 소고기 (Cheongpa Sogogi) - Stir-fried beef with green onions aka Mongolian Beef

Their HK style food is authentic and delicious. We started with the hot and sour soup and it is literally the best version we have ever had. It had a bit of the Szechuan numbing spice and was a huge portion so we took half home. We also ordered their steamed rice rolls with shrimp and chive and you can tell it was made fresh by the wrinkles in the rice paper. The last item we ordered was their chinese sausage clay pot. It was exactly what we were craving. Crispy rice all along the edges with perfectly steamed rice, chinese broccoli and crispy chinese sausage. It was hard to choose because their menu was huge and we came late so we missed the pineapple buns but definitely need to try it next time. I also saw everyone ordering the lemon iced tea and realized it's because they do free refills! That's another need to try. I felt the value was really great and we definitely are coming back. Service was also great. The waiters quickly came over when you waved them down and they checked on you just the right amount of time. The decor inside is very cute and I love the retro style. Only complaint I would have is that we sat on the left side of the restaurant and there were quite a few mosquitos on the booth so we ended up sitting on one side.

It took about ten minutes for us to get a booth table, but we were waiting inside. The staff member called numbers firstly in Cantonese then in English. After we sat down, the waiting line persisted past 1 pm. Similarly, the bustling loudness continued on during the course of our meal. Food arrived quickly, however. The price point for the delicious food is competitive. We got French-style filet mignon ($18.99), braised tofu in brown sauce ($14.99), chicken chow mein ($14.99), and a steamed rice noodle roll with barbecue pork ($5.99). A pot of rice was included in our meal. The steamed rice noodle roll with barbecue pork was a nice appetizer that arrived first. I enjoyed how the French-style filet mignon was garnished with Thai basil, black pepper, and ginger. The meat was flavorful and tender. The braised tofu in brown sauce was consistently hot on the inside. The delicious brown sauce soaked throughout the vegetables. The chicken chow mein didn't have a lot of sauce, but it was still delicious with a lot of meat included. Overall, it would be nice to visit again outside of a peak time because the food prices are competitive. The menu is expansive, and the breakfast selections look interesting. The atmosphere during the Sunday lunch peak time was consistently bustling. I think the restaurant started to play Chinese music loudly at random points so that people could finish dining more quickly.
