Came here twice on our 1 week trip. Everything we had was great! Kalua pig loco moco was one of the favorites for our family. Tiny little place all the staff that work there were so pleasant. And the Hawaiian fried rice upgrade - totally worth it!

Our first stop upon arriving at Kauai and it really hit the spot! Got a smoothie and the fried rice (as well as a musubi to go) and it was all delicious. Extra mahalo to Leighton who was super friendly and attentive...we'll be back to try the avocado toast that they are known for!

Since when did hiding rotten brown avocado under garnishes become a thing? I mean, we all love avocado, and we all understand that bruised, yucky ones come along like 25 percent of the time, and have to be thrown away, as a minor sacrifice to our avo gods. I myself am not too picky! But the 'Famous' avo toast I received here had brown and yucky avo slices concealed under some salad items and it was too gross even for me. It wasn't just a piece or two- it was all the pieces. It was clear that this avo needed to be sacrificed and just somehow made it onto my plate anyways. I sent it back and they replaced the dish but I am having a hard time understanding how this happens, especially at a place that advertised its avo toast like it is the best thing since sliced bread. [[HIGHLIGHT]]On the plus side, it's a fun vibe inside with board games, and the merch in this shop is pretty cool and they sell t-shirts for reasonable prices[[ENDHIGHLIGHT]].

Great food and service. Bought a few hoodies and a hat too. We drove past this spot at least 5 times and I thought we should stop but finally it was the right timing today. We loved our food and smoothie. I will definitely go back.

Amazing loaded avocado toast--smoked salmon, course sea salt, pickled onion, feta cheese, cucumber, grape tomatoes, chopped red pepper, green onion and of course--avocado! All towering over 2 slices of sourdough toast. The coffee and fresh pineapple juice were next-level, too. [[HIGHLIGHT]]The space is funky--a motley assortment of packaged food, clothes, souvenirs and thrift store stuff adds to the eclectic atmosphere, while Hawaiian reggae plays.[[ENDHIGHLIGHT]] The server was friendly and welcoming, very personable. Overall, a one-of-a-kind experience. If you're looking for a fantastic breakfast or lunch that's not your typical tourist trap, this is it!

[[HIGHLIGHT]]A wonderful spot for breakfast and lunch![[ENDHIGHLIGHT]] Today we had The Islands Local Favorite and Chef Ariel's Famous Hawaiian Cubano. The Cubano was my favorite Cuban sandwich I've ever had!! All of the ingredients popped and combined for a wonderful taste explosion. It came with a delicious house-made tortilla soup. The Local Fav was also quite tasty. The pork butt had a wonderful, smoky flavor. The pork, veggies, and sauce combined really well. I also had an excellent Caramel Latte, brewed with the coffee from the plantation here on Kaua'i. We want to come back and try some breakfast food, as well as having another Cubano.

We discovered this place by my daughter looking at reviews. We were a little skeptical pulling up but oh my gosh the people and the food are absolutely phenomenal!!

The first and the best meal that I had when first arrived the island. Me and my mom love the crab sourdough, If I called it right. Price is fair compare to the entire island Definitely would like to go back if I have another chance to visit.

We came here to visit the Pineapple store and happened to stumble upon this breakfast place. The owner was very nice and welcoming. She cooked an awesome breakfast (the best breakfast we had on our trip). I had the breakfast burrito and my wife had the Avocado Toast! The food was excellent and chatting with the owner gave us some local insight on activities that we went through with on our trip! This is a new business (open for 5 months). Awesome food! Crazy big servings! Had the Red Eye Poke bowl made gluten-free and it was mmm mmm good. The hubs had Island Magic Mike's Loco Moco - a big plate of food to keep us full for a day of hiking. Definitely gonna add this to our must stop list. The service made us feel like family.

We are so happy to have stopped in to Red Eye Snack Shack during our vacation on Kaua'i! The ladies there are so attentive and the food is so ono (that means so good if ya don't know). The fried rice is some of the best I've had and the banana bread is definitely the best I've ever had! Amazing food! Seriously, skip the resort breakfasts and come here. We did not know what to expect but it became one of the highlights of our trip. We did the valentines day brunch menu for $30 and it was soooo good. It comes with a salad, sandwich and banana bread. Everything we tasted was amazing. This is a gem in Kauai. Food was sensational. New grinds in a nostalgic location = YES PLEASE! Staff is on point, vibes are auspicious on what's to come (fantastic murals by long time local Kaua'i artists!), food is MOPS (means really good for you non-pidgin speakers) & chef is knowledgeable & accommodating. Introduced myself to All Red Eye's Snack Shop by grinding some of those ono kalo waffles... Did not disappoint! Even the syrups were delicious; not like fake sugary kind. My pal very much enjoyed her avocado toast on steroids & I wanted to sample, but she licked the plate lol. Fantastic location in the old Pineapple Store; best place for locals & tourists to beat the traffic, enjoy some local swag & grinds plus just cruise. A MUST SEE MUST EAT!!! This place is so amazing, the avocado toast belongs in a Michelin restaurant: house pickled onions and fresh cucumber and sprouts, and SO flavorful yet light. We shared an açaí bowl and idk what is in the air here but it was define. My friend had the veggie scramble and she was happy dancing the whole time she ate. Generous portions! We had some delicious sandwiches and soups and a lot of aloha- they are so nice! There are some ready to eat foods and beverages in the fridge as well. Also some unique cute items to shop while there- hats shoes sweatshirts, some sea glass jewelry, unique cool sunglasses, all super cute. It's easy to miss this on the roadside - look for the pineapple store sign it's co-located in the little house. Definitely worth a stop. read more

I never leave a review, but I wish that others left honest reviews on this establishment. It is not a restaurant. There were two hairs in our sandwich. The bagel cost $18 and it was burnt. They forgot our sausage so we asked for it and they said, oh you want it? It is a very odd, sketchy set up. It took entirely too long to get our food and we were the only table, which should have been another big sign to leave when we walked in. Only nice thing I can say is they gave us banana bread as a free app and it was delicious. read more

This is such a cute spot! It's very laid back and there's board games you can play at the tables. There wasn't anyone else here but the service was fast and the server was very nice. We came for breakfast and the food was so good, especially the banana nut bread. There's clothes and other items to buy in the shop that's part of the restaurant. We walked into a cute local store with Hawaiian themed gifts, unique compared to the chain stores, and were immediately greeted by two kind ladies who seated us right away. The menu was easy to read and they had a variety of items. When I say the food was excellent, it doesn't describe the intense and delicious flavors in my food! I got the smoked meats omelet and my husband got a breakfast burrito. The freshness was out of this world, and the chef made the food fresh to order. She came out to check on us a few times and described how she had made the fried rice this morning and used smoked meats from a local man. They have some vegetables for sale scattered about the small retail space out front. But the main draw is their baked goods and their hot food to-go. I saw everything from biko (sticky rice dessert), musubis, empanadas, suman (sticky rice wrapped in banana leaf) for baked and packaged goods. Then they had pancit, dinuguan, fried fish and pork adobo. There were several other offerings that I cannot recall. Pan de sal was 3 for $1 or a dozen for $4. Gotta get the dozen. Parking is in the share lot right out front or street parking along Rice if the plaza is packed.

Gotta get rid of the 10% credit card fee. Quite ridiculous! You do realize square charges about 3% right? So what's the other 7%? No sign, no nothing. Just noticed later on when looking at receipt when it was "wow - how did pancakes with eggs and a smoothy end up being over $60?" Stopped by Red Eye Snack Shop in Lihue and had the Big Kahuna Tuna with the fish of the day (mahi). Honestly, it was the best avocado toast I've ever had in my life.
