Either I'm getting cheap, or Red Lobster is super expensive. I realize lobster and crab aren't exactly the cheapest things, but I've had comparable sized entrees at locally owned restaurants for much lower prices. Being that it was "CrabFest" you'd think their crab specials would be somewhat lower in price. Nope. Expect to pay $30-40 per person for an entree. Equally obnoxious was the disappearance of prices on the cocktail menu. When someone else is picking up the tab it's nice to know the price of something before you order. I realize you could ask the waiter but that makes it awkward at the table. Just include the prices, please! In all, the food was okay. But didn't thrill me. The crab cakes were thin and not well constructed. In the photo, the salmon was drizzled with a light sauce and topped with some crab concoctions. When It arrived, it looked like salmon soup; it was swimming in sauce! The servers were pleasant and took great care of us. Drinks were never empty - a big plus! Definitely 5 stars to the servers for being so on it. Unfortunately, the food and pricing will keep me from returning. Meh. I really, really wanted to give them two stars but I'm keeping it at three because our waitress was very sweet (when she was attentive, but I'll get to that). Appetizer: Stuffed mushrooms. The crab/fish mixture tasted a bit too fishy, almost like it was something out of a can. The cheese was good, but there was entirely too much. If you're making mushrooms stuffed with cheese, advertise it as such. Don't count the miniscule, less-than-stellar seafood mixture as anything more than canned-fish-filler. 1/5. Garden Salad: Nasty. Iceberg lettuce. At least it was "fresh"..ish. What I can't get over is the fact that their dressing tasted exactly like that Hidden Valley filth some poor souls buy at the store. I ate one piece. 2.75/5 Companion #1 got the seafood pasta with shrimp and scallops. The scallops were tough and cut into tiny, itty bitty chunks instead of being left whole as they are advertised. The shrimp were tiny. It was a heaping bowl of pasta (HUGE), with very little seafood at all. She wasn't impressed but said it was a 3/5 because of the huge potion size. I still say poor quality can't be made up for by quantity. Companion #2 had the battered shrimp and baked potato. She loved the baked potato but the shrimp looked as though it came out of a bag. She complained it was grossly greasy, which is a lot for a fried food fanatic like her to say. Again, she said the big portion made her up her rating. I'm still shaking my head at them. 3/5. We got a piece of chocolate cake with vanilla ice cream to go and it was bommmmb. Ridiculously chocolatey, and really rich. 4.7/5. Hell, just go in and eat this bitch. You'll be pleased (and fat). Overall: RED LOBSTER WTF ARE YOU DOING?! Dudes, get it together. The WORST service. My husband and I were out on date night, and after craving some crab legs, we ended up here. We put our name on the list, and sat outside to wait as the lobby was so full we couldn't sit inside. Fifteen minutes later, my husband went to check on our table and they said "we gave it away as we called your name, but you didn't come." When asked if they came outside where we told them we would be waiting, they lied to our face. We most certainly hadn't left the front entry area while awaiting a table. To rectify the issue, they made us wait five more minutes and then sat us in the bar, closest to the kitchen and bathroom (weird), where all we could smell was bleach, and all we could hear was bar racket. What a disappointment! We went there for dinner trying it out for the first time in about 8 years. I ordered the Alaskan king crab with brussel sprouts and asparagus and my husband the lobster linguine bake. His dinner was flavorless and he had to add a lot of lemon. The mini lobster tails were good. My asparagus could have been purée they were so mushy and over cooked. My king crab came out half cold. As in one side being cold the other like warm. I sent it back and they brought out my same one after being microwaved. The meat had shrunk, was dry and flavorless and there was a lot of water at the bottom of my dish. All In all we were very unsatisfied with our dinner. The manager did come talk to us and take off my crab, only after offering a measly 20% off and no apology for a very expensive - and tasteless dinner. Won't be going back. Came in at 4:45 and was told 30 min wait for our party of 6. Guess 6 is considered a large party. The restaurant was only 1/3 full and we could see plenty of open tables. Told that couple party's of 9 were ahead of us but only a few couples waiting in the lobby. About 5 we were asked to sit at 2 tables across from each other. So due to time constraints we opted for splitting up. Greeted promptly by the waitress. All our drinks and appetizers came out quick. Our meals were decent except mine. I don't know why it's always me but only half my entree was delivered and it took awhile to get my complete food delivered. Overall it was ok but is it really that difficult to stagger starting times for staff. The good first: Amazing food. Each time I go the food is the same great quality. The portions are very generous. You really get the kind of food that you pay for (when it's right - see below). The waitstaff is very good. They are cheerful, helpful, and very attentive. They refilled our drinks before we even asked for another one, constantly checked on us to see if we needed anything, and gave us our check quickly. The bad: The hostesses are always pretentious and pushy and don't seem like they want to be there at all. Each time I come in, I have to compete with everyone else around me to get the hostess's attention. They hand me a buzzer with my pet peeve customer service response of "here ya go" and then move on to the next patron. I honestly feel like I'm in the DMV sometimes. The buzzers usually don't go off, and the hostess will not venture outside to make sure the party who isn't responding to their buzzer or name being called is out there. They'll just move on to the next person. There have been a couple times where people have come in wondering why their buzzer hasn't gone off. They get the "oh I called you twice" response. It's really rude and unprofessional for such a high-er end place. Pros: Their cheddar bay biscuits are amazing! They have a nice atmosphere, usually very nice service and unique drinks. Cons: They are a bit pricey, but we DO live in the middle of the desert. Also, sometimes the portions are hit and miss. However, it is a multi-course meal so you arent often left feeling hungry. Everytime I come I'm here 2-3hours Service sucks. Getting a table takes 20 to 40 minutes by the time we get the table we would get beverages 15 to 20 minutes. For the server to come back to take out food order would take 30min to an hour. And receiving the food would be about 25 to 50 minutes to arrive. I have gone here a few times. And all the other times were great, but this last time we had a bad experience. There was 9 of us, coming to celebrate my aunt's birthday. We waited for almost an hour for us to get a seat, after my cousin asking many times. When we got the seat, it was 3 three tiny seperate booths. Well, we were there to celebrate a birthday, so we wanted our family to be seated together. We asked if we could get a different seat. They said we had to wait. They served us our drinks, and then we waited another 20 min. for a table big enough. They seated 7 of my party into a giant booth, then me and my cousin had to sit at a tiny booth. We had to walk over to the booth to communicate with our family. We finished our meal at 9 on a Thursday. After that though, the food was fine, and they tried their best to keep us happier from there. As always, the biscuits were hot,cheesy, and delicious. We have visited Red Lobster for years and we are sorry to report that it was the worst experience so far. We ordered and split a Filet Minion and Lobster Tail. The waiter was very attentive. That was not the problem. The Lobster was over cooked. The filet was not a filet. A sirloin maybe. The assistant manager was accommodating and brought us a filet. Unfortunately, it looked great, but it was rare and we had asked for medium rare. We were so disappointed. We rarely complain about our food. This was an exception. We did not complain further but left after paying. We will probably give them one more chance in the future. But we will not give another if we have a similar bad experience. We are so disappointed. Every time I come here which is infrequently, I am reminded why I do not come often. This time we were enticed to come into this place with the three kinds of shrimp for $15.99. Service this night was so inconsistent. We were seated quickly and we sat waiting for drinks for a long time. By a long time I mean maybe 8 to 10 minutes. Drinks eventually were served and then another long wait to order food. So after another long ten minute wait some salads appeared, along with more rolls. Took about two bites each from the salads, and BAM!! here are the main dishes. During this entire time there is a big table eight feet away who has a like two month old baby. The infant alternated between steady constant crying and screaming at the top of his/her lungs. This literally went on for almost an hour. I am not anti baby or anything, some of my favorite people are little ones. But when my babies were fussing and crying, they were not allowed to ruin the dining experience of everyone in the area when in public. After the main dishes came, we ate a little bit, the baby was into screaming mode, I asked our waitress for some boxes and our bill ASAP. I could not wait to get out of this place. It's my birthdAY so I wanted to finally try the local Red Lobster. We started in the bar with a tall glass of draft bud light, and then on to sit in the restaruant. I ordered the 1.5 lbs of Snow Crab King Legs, baked potato, salad, clam chowder soup, biscuits and a chocolate cookie with ice cream.i enjoyed the meal which was extremely delicious. By far not a good dining experience. Upon being seated the hostess stated the a/c was not at 100% and it's Bakersfield with 102 degree weather! She sat us in the "cooler" area of the restaurant. This place is terrible and not worth the time or money! My family and I ordered food for delivery through the Red Lobster website. The total was close to $150. The order was delivered on time but was missing the snow crab leg meal. I called the restaurant and was told it would be remade but I had to come pick it up. I agreed and hung up the phone. A few minutes later, I get a call back from the manager stating that she cannot do anything for me unless I have a receipt. I found the receipt in my email and told her that. She told me she would remake the meal but next time I need to talk to dispatch. My husband went to pick up the meal and they refused to give him the sides. When he asked where the sides were, the host went to the kitchen to talk to them about it. The manager (Connie Vasquez) was in the kitchen and called my husband a liar. She said it loud enough for him to hear it in the bar area. The host came back and told him that the sides were put in the bag (even though they weren't) so they would not remake them. Reservations seems not being honored seriously. Waited for a table of five for more than half an hour. Order a dozen raw oysters and it was fantastic, the rest of the food is okay. Sword fish is good but very small portion for $25 plus extras on replacing broccoli to a asparagus, extra charge for a soup instead of salad. Servers is not paying attention to details from providing spoon for soup to bussing up a table. I've been to this restaurant quite a few times but this time the level of service is below average. Horrible customer service! I called this morning when they opened to make a reservation for 12 people at 5pm. We get there a little before 5pm to check-in, and they tell us they don't "have a table ready". Mind you, other restaurants usually will have a table reserved for you at your reservation time! They say it might be 10-15 minutes, however it is much longer. We wait until 5:25pm, and ask when the host how much longer. They say they are trying to clean the tables to get a table for us. I ask what's the point of making a reservation if we can't get a table in time? The host tells me "making a reservation doesn't guarantee a table". Wtf??? Then what's the point?? Bad business and very unprofessional. If you're not able to accommodate a party of 12, just be honest with your customers. Don't make the goddamn reservation for us and make us wait half an hour for a table... We ended up going somewhere else that didn't make us wait. Good bye Red Lobster. read more

This is probably the best experience I have had at a Red Lobster in a while. We had to wait about 40 minutes ( which is very typical anywhere you go on a Friday or Saturday night ). Once we were seated, the service was very good. The only bad thing that I can say is that I had to ask for a glass of water three times before the waitress actually brought it. The food was good and they kept on bringing more of their biscuits to the table without us having to keep asking. Overall, this was a very nice dinner. The staff us very friendly and attentive.
