My goodness! I had not been to a Red Lobster for years and decided to give it a try. I had never tried the biscuits before and took a bite......wow. These were absolutely powder coated in garlic and onion powder. Two ingredients I can't eat. And then I started to notice the same herbs on just about everything. I had a platter and really enjoyed the baked potatoe and the fried shrimp. Almost everything else was covered in herbs I can't eat. Even the steamed broccoli. My partner had shrimp Alfredo and two other kinds of shrimp. Would we go back for dinner, no. For an appetizer and beverage, yes. The service was excellent. We've all been to Red Lobster at least once, right? All you need to know about this location is it's either hit or miss, depending on - who knows what - because there doesn't seem to be any rhyme or reason for it. Two burning questions I've had lately: 1.] Whyyyy to you have to ask for lemons?? This is a seafood place and seafood requires lemons. 2.] Whyyyy did Red Lobster completely get rid of Key Lime Pie?? It's what put them on the food map and then every other restaurant had their version after Red Lobster made it famous. That was pure marketing suicide. That also explains why their food is mostly not good, except for that random chance you hit it right. They've gone far down the hill ever since the elimination of Key Lime Pie. I did not want to cook - long day at work - so I pulled into Red Lobster near the Northgate mall in Hixson. No wait, not very crowded. The waitress suggested the bacon wrapped scallops for an app so I indulged. The scallops were tender, I think they were better without the bacon! Was that blasphemous? Perhaps... I chose the "pick three" and chose crab cakes, flounder, and Walt's shrimp with a baked potato and Caesar salad. The salad was actually really good, especially with a warm cheddar bay biscuit. The shrimp were delicious and the crab cakes were good as well. The fish was greasy. The baked potato was well prepared. The service was not great, I had to waive down my waitress to get service...from refills to the check...geez... In summary, it had been a hot minute since I had been to a Red Lobster and the food did not disappoint. read more

Red Lobster was once a favorite place to eat. I'm not sure what's going on, but my sister and I stopped in for lunch a few days ago. Service was excellent. But the food.... I ordered fried fish that came out dripping in grease. I tried to eat it, but it was too greasy and was making me sick. The manager looked at my plate and returned it to the kitchen. My appetite was gone, I refused a substitute meal. I felt really bad for the server and the manager. They were embarrassed. One slipped and apologized for the kitchen being short staffed... folks calling in... not able to keep enough help. It's very unfortunate we are losing our go to restaurants in the Chattanooga area due to lack of help. read more

One word, substandard! Very disappointing to say the least! Service - The timing for the service was average. They were not busy, but in that regard, just a few servers. However, our server was not attentive to our order. I requested the Build you own, with shrimp scampi, Waltz shrimp, and oven broiled scallops. Baked potato and house salad with ranch on the side. The salad - brown lettuce or I should say lettuce ribs. Very little edible lettuce on the salad. The request for dressing on the side was completely ignored and poured on the salad. The meal - I ordered oven broiled scallops but received the fried scallops. We had the almost yell to get the attention of the server to correct the order. The server never returned to check on us until time for us to pay the bill . Based on this visit, I honestly can not recommend Red Lobster, nor desire to return in the near future. From the server who took the order, the prep on the salad, the expediter, and back to the server to ensure everything was correct as ordered was a failure. Visited for Monday's Endless Shrimp. Unfortunately the turn around time was soooo slow that we didn't get to sample too much. The waitress couldn't multitask. When you a craving good biscuits, you know where to go. And let me say this was the best experience I have ever had. We had the 4 course for 16.99, and it was perfect!!! The food was out fast and it was delicious. I started with a clam chowder and Cesar salad. Then I got wood grilled shrimp and the brownie. If I could I would not leave any stars. The service was horrible when we did finally get 3 biscuits had to wait another 30 minutes to catch the waitress and asked if we could get our drinks. It didn't get any better waiting for the food which took about an hour to get and they didn't even have the rice to go with my husband dish. We had to almost beg for biscuits to be brought out. But I did notice this other table that got excellent service I guess we should have just left. We will not be going back to this location. I was nice and left the waitress a $5.00 tip hopefully it helped out for the next customer if it had been my brother she wouldn't have gotten anything . read more

My family and I have been coming here for years, tonight we came for my father's birthday. We got seated and 40 minutes went by and the waitress never came to us. A table next us who sat after us the waitress came to them. She looked at us several times and nothing. My mother went to the host to ask what was going on. We then overheard the waitress loudly say, "I ain't served that table all day!!!!" And she obviously wasn't going to serve us so we left. read more

Unfortunately, this location misinforms customers about specials. We were told that this week was the last week for the all-you-can-eat shrimp but, when we arrived they stated that it had already ended. When I asked further questions it turns out that they really have no idea what they are talking about or how to properly convey information. Ordered from Uber Eats for Red Lobster delivery about an hour and a half ago and still waiting. Was supposed to be here at 8:00, then 8:20, and now 8:35 and it's still showing the delivery person is waiting at Red Lobster for our food. I'm not sure if this is because of Red Lobster or Uber Eats. All I know is this is ridiculous!!!!!!! Update!! While the manager was nice and did his best to accommodate us with a private section for our party because I'm battling cancer and have compromised immune system. Well finally got around to using my Christmas gift cards. Glad I had $50 in cards because I forgot how expensive lobster was but so worth it. I always order a platter with an assortment of seafood so this time was no different...I got the Ultimate Feast. I had fried shrimp, shrimp scampi, lobster tail and crab legs...yummy!! My boyfriend got a platter with salmon, grilled shrimp and lobster tail and of course we ate a few baskets of the garlic cheddar biscuits. Everything was great, food took just a bit to come out but waiter was excellent and even turned down the air since several tables were complaining it was cold air blowing on us. We came here hungry wanting a crisp creative salad and shrimp. The menu boasted of only a ceaser salad with shrimp or chicken options. Our server was able to suggest we make a custom salad topped with various veggies and balsamic vinaigrette. We did that it, it was accommodating still the food always disappoints when it comes to these chain restaurants. After multiple tries at this Red Lobster, I've got to say it's just not a great place. Food is generally over-seasoned and over cooked. The seafood portions are also small. Best thing on the table are the cheese biscuits - sadly the salad was even slightly frozen and quite limp. Service was fine but had a feel of being very understaffed. Hate to sound harsh, but these are recurring themes for this location. Do yourself a favor - skip this place and try something else. Decor is dated and beat up. My family and I ate here this evening and I'm so upset that we spent $75+tip for this experience. We could have gone to Public House for that and had a great meal. As soon as we walked in, I knew I should have turned around and left. The atmosphere was dingy, out-dated and smelling of old carpet. The exhaust fan in the bathroom had a good two years worth of dust on it and you could see it floating in the air in front of the light. The ceiling around the air vents in the dining area were black. We paid $4 for a side of box Kraft macaroni and cheese and the kids chicken fingers were obviously from a frozen bag. My $35 surf and turf, I had to send back once because the filet was blue. The lobster tail was grisly and rubbery. Yuck! My husband had the rainbow trout, which was also over-cooked. I haven't been to Red Lobster in over 10 years because the last time I went there, the server told me "yellow cheese and a dressing substitute" would be extra on my salad... I laughed and thought I would never be back.... here I am back many years later because we had an event next door. My 8 year old had never been there and was looking forward to the "bread" they serve before dinner. We waited in line for 20+ min at 4:45 pm to put our name in. We were 3rd in line and there were plenty of tables open in the restaurant. The entire place was a mess and dirty and the staff was incompetent...there was no bread, my husband received his Cole slaw 20 min before food, the food was terrible!
