I used to be a good customer, but they used to be pretty good. The last few visits I noticed there aren't as many customers, and I think I now know why. Father's Day Saturday 2026, I wanted to order Red Lobster for my father for a Father's Day Dinner. He's very ill and can't leave the house easily so we had to do carryout. I did an online order and was surprised it was going to take 31 minutes to prepare my food, that seems like an excessive wait when dining in. We showed up at the designated time, texted we were there and turned on our hazard lights as instructed. After waiting for over 10 minutes (and noticing the parking lot was half empty and only one family arrived in that time) I walked into the restaurant to ask what the delay was. There were no employees in sight for at least 5 minutes. When an employee finally appeared, she seated the only four people I saw arrive in the 10 minutes I had been there. As she seated them two additional people walked in behind me. When she came back I told her I'd been waiting for over 15 minutes at this point for food that I had ordered over 45 minutes ago. She was rude in her tone when she informed me that she had been busy and had not been back to look for my order and was going to seat the people behind me before she went to the kitchen to "try" to get my order together. After waiting 5 more minutes, and calling the number on the sign, only to discover it was a disconnected, my husband went inside to the bar (as he had done in the past to pick up to go orders). He was completely ignored at the bar, the bartender would not even make eye contact. Finally, an hour after I had ordered my food, the hostess came out of the kitchen carrying a bag, and pushing past guests. My husband asked if that was our bag. It was so he took it. The words I'm sorry were never said, which seems like a small thing to do but a huge thing to hear. Clearly they don't appreciate our business or value customers with an order of over $100 including a 15% tip for a carry out order. When we arrived at my parents house I discovered that my order which I had planned to share with my father and had been requested with Old Bay seasoning was served with Cajun seasoning and far too spicy for us to eat. My mother's order was missing her requested side, and instead had a different side. My mother's steak was also rare when ordered well done. I completed the survey attached to my order explaining these issues and requested management contact me to try to make things right. I have heard nothing. When I ordered this meal I was aware that it could easily be my father's last meal from Red Lobster. Little did I know, it was also my last meal from Red Lobster. I was thankful that I had gone to Martin's right beside Red Lobster and picked up crab legs to prepare myself. Those were excellent. So if you're looking for seafood I highly recommend Martin's over Red Lobster. Not only is it cheaper, it is much faster and you get it how you want it. read more

I got take out one day and I just got a few things including a dozen rolls. The rolls were not what they used to be, they tasted like they have sat for a while and lacked flavor. The price of $7.49, is crazy for a dozen rolls. It's even more disappointing when they were terrible. I will stick to making my own with their box recipe kit. This was my first time trying red lobster, I'm on vacation with my family and it will be my last. They definitely lost me as a customer, once we arrived we were told that it would be a 30 wait and they had no crabs legs I said fine no problem I'll Just order online which I did, I ordered $200 dollars worth of food online for take out, I understand it being Mother's Day the wait is gonna be long originally it was suppose to be only 30 minutes but I had to wait 1.5 hours just to receive my food and on top of it all when I got home to finally enjoy my food (5 mins away from the restaurant) my food was cold to the touch and the portions of the platters were disgracefully small for the amount I spent. I know I Could've went to the store and bought everything cooked it my self and would've had it done quicker, cheaper and more than enough for proper serving sizing. I don't know if it the cooks in the back or what but I'm completely upset about the whole experience and will never be spending another dollar at red lobster after this horrible experience. It just plain ridiculous. Wanted to show our kids what Red Lobster was. Waited 5 min in an empty lobby and had to ask 2 different employees where the hostess was. Ambience was lacking, their rebrand stripped any of the lobster trap nostalgia. Our waitress was nice but the service was slow. Food is overpriced. Crab legs were mid, shrimp scampi was overcooked. She was very attentive and kept us updated on the wait time for our food. I also want to recognize the manager on duty, Justin. He worked in the kitchen making sure the food was prepared to perfection. My husband and I went to dinner at Red Lobster on July 19, 2025, and we were very disappointed. We used to eat there quite a bit, but hadn't been there in a while. They had no Chardonnay wine available, at all....None. The seats on the booth were dirty with leftover food crumbs from the last customer. The salmon and rice were pretty good, but the asparagus, that I paid an up-charge for, was not good. The extra side order of grilled sea scallops was chewy, and had no flavor. The butter, for dipping, was not butter. It was oil with a little bit of butter. Totally ruined the taste of the scallops. I ate half of a scallops. We spent almost $100.00 for dinner, and left disappointed. We won't be going back to Red Lobster again. We thought we'd give it another try after the issues we had the last time. I took my family for dinner after the football game at James Madison University and we sat and waited for our food for an hour and 15 minutes, even after complaining to the waitress. This is the second time this experience happened at the same location. So after waiting the waitress brought out the two salads that we ordered. They looked like she chopped up some iceberg lettuce and slapped it in the bowl. It was almost spilling out of the bowl, even though it was at the bottom of the bowl, the portion was ridiculous. The waitress told us that they are shortstaffed on the cooks yet everyone that came after us was getting their food so I felt like there was some discrimination there although we are American born and raised, but maybe the darker hair set off the discrimination. When we spoke to the manager she said I'm sorry but didn't do anything about it so please do yourself a favor. A couple of servers passed by without acknowledging my wait. Finally, the server working takeout and behind the bar came to "assist". Not sure why the reviews are so bad here -- I've been here about 4 times in the past 6 months and have always had great, attentive service. Appetizers: The loaded fries with fried clams and clam chowder were amazing. The cheese biscuits are always a great. Sides: The broccoli, mashed potatoes and fries are the best sides. The caprese salad sounded good but the sauce was too much. The asparagus wasn't worth the $2 up-charge. I'm reminded why I stopped going to Red Lobster. Red Lobster is the Olive Garden of seafood, quality is severely lacking yet alone seasoning or TASTE. My mussel, lobster, scallop, and shrimp bake was costly (less than $30 but close) for mostly watery spaghetti and a few pieces of small morsels of seafood. Those of which do not taste fresh. I suppose it's what I should expect out of a chain restaurant. My boyfriend's Surf and Turf was also around the same price range and while his lobster tale was meatier than the little ones in my dish, the steak was pitiful and the mashed potatoes were boxed at best. The best part of the meal were the cheddar biscuits that came out fresh, the seafood stuffed mushrooms covered in gooey cheese, the side salads were huge, and my boyfriends surf and turf came with some lobster chunks soaked in butter...but weirdly delicious. Standouts were king crab legs, shrimp scampi, fried oysters (I liked the cocktail sauce which some places I don't). Daughters salad was very good. Waiter just made excuses and the manager was too chicken sh*t to face me themselves, which a good manager would have. Did they take the meal off the ticket? No!! Gave a slight discount. I ordered food to-go and sat at the bar, the server brought out all my food on plates to dine-in, then seemed annoyed at me even though I was clear when I ordered, and common sense would assume I wasn't going to order that much food for just myself. Then they made me wait longer to bake fresh biscuits. When I get home the order is missing biscuits and 2 items I ordered and paid for, and the portions were smaller than they've been in the past. Stuffed mushrooms were just above room temperature and sloppy. Clam chowder was a huge disappointment - warmish with pockets of actual cold - pools of grease, butter? Told her I had prepaid on the phone - she said we don't take c/c over the phone Problem was the left hand didn't know what the right was doing. 1st the lady that took the phone order got my name wrong - was she allowed to take my c/c over the phone or not - 2nd once there to pick up my order that it took soooo long to get our food with all the mix-up. The waitresses we had went above and beyond their requirements for our large dinner party over the weekend. They were kind, funny, and made sure we had everything we needed. It was my mom's birthday, and not only did they bring her cake and ice cream, but they actually wrote her a sweet birthday message in a card. That is a first, and we have celebrated at much nicer places than Red Lobster before. First my daughter and I walked in and there was no one at the reception or bar, so we walked inside and found some customers sitting so we went back and waited for a while then got seated. They changed the menu. Our waitress was nice, took our orders - nothing unusual there. I ordered a sesame soy salmon rice bowl. When my dish arrived, I was in for a surprise. First bite, then I thought I broke my tooth! The rice under the salmon was not cooked with water. I had a dental implant surgery in spring and not allow to chew hard things, and this was not something I was expecting. I went to the kitchen to get another plate, which the waitress brought over for me. No apologies of any sort, got the full bill. I had to ask if they were doing anything for me. They took off my coffee and my daughter's kid smoothie from the bill. Manager still didn't come to table to apologize. My son ordered a kids meal and his fries were burnt. The waitress never asked how our food was.
