So disappointing... I don't normally write bad reviews but this was so disappointing ESPECIALLY since COVID. So here we go: we went into this establishment and were greeted by a very kind young man that was taking our information down to have us seated...when a young female hostess comes out to seat a party of four (we are only a party of two - a very hungry party of two). The young female hostess then looks at me and makes the sly remark "you know, we close in ten minutes". Now, I completely understand that restaurant employees have families too and want to get home to them BUT I also understand that during COVID many restaurants have laid off employees and/or had to cut hours drastically. I also realize that tips have suffered and also impacted the wages of these employees so we intentionally tip generously to do our part to help. All I'm getting too is - Be Nice :))) it really does go a long way. *i asked the young lady if she didn't want to seat us? She didn't answer, but the young man looked completely embarrassed and apologized.. Worst meal we ever had. Lobster wasn't cleaned properly (vein not removed). Horribly presented. By the time I cleaned it there were two small bites left. Shrimp didn't taste like shrimp. Potatoes were cold. The entire meal was a disaster. Maybe we got the day before's pre-made meal. I don't know. We will never ever go back to Red Lobster. read more

It was late and I needed something relatively quick for dinner. Typically, I don't eat at the big chain restaurants for several reasons. I had a pretty basic meal that would have been hard to screw up. There's a fair amount of the fried items on the menu which I don't eat by choice..(try to eat healthy) so I can't comment on that. Wow..nicely roomy and private space after remodel..we had THE MOST EXCELLENT SERVICE and food. We both enjoyed bottle of wine and COLD beer w/delightful lobster dinner ...very clean..prompt and repeditive service..the best. The food here is good but the service is even better. Our favorite server Marisa is the best, so sweet and super attentive. I wouldn't recommend take-out from a place like this though, we have got it before and it's definitely not as good. This is for sure a dine in type of restaurant. read more

We came in at lunch and had the harvest lobster bake and the fish and chips. Lobster was a tad over done but edible. The fish and chips were fine. The wait staff was nice but seemed a bit hurried on what seemed like a slow rainy afternoon. read more

We wanted seafood, good old fashioned comfort seafood. RL is a chain but in the Tri Cities it is the "go to" place for seafood especially when it is lobster time. It was a 30 to 45 minute wait for a table so we opted to go in the bar to sit and we had prompt service. The food was great. The bar staff was friendly and entertaining and the food was just what we were looking for. The restaurant was packed but our food arrived in a timely manor and was hot and properly prepared. I guess when you eat at a chain food restaurant, there is a certain level of expectation. Corporate restaurants are run to boost profits, so cheap food made cheap. This restaurant is no exception. We found out that the vegetables are microwaved, sauces are pre-portioned in styrofoam cups, and microwaved in them to order, and the wood fired grill is actually a glorified conveyor belt you find in a pizza delivery restaurant. When I visited the Tri-cities, I ate at this red lobster (not by choice), and my experience was horrible. The server didn't come to our table for a while, because they were trying to go home (we heard the argument from our table). For the drinks, there was not a decent wine, and it is right in the heart of Washington wine country. I asked, and it doesn't even seem that you can bring your own bottle for a corkage fee!! For the food, the lobster tail wasn't cooked all the way, my pasta sauce had seperated into an oily mess, and the salad was wilted and gross. The red onions on it had the paper peel, the cucumber was partially clear, and the plate had cooked on stuff from the previous person. The service was fast, but really, four people's dinners cooked so fast is definately not cooked with care. If I am spending $30 on a dinner, the least they could do is make it look appetizing. The server that we had did not know one thing about food. It seemed that they had memorized pictures, but not really what each dish was. It also seemed like they were there only to get money, and not that they cared about working in a restaurant. At least that is the conversation I got to listen to at my table from the server station during my whole meal. What's worse, my vegan friend had nothing to eat. Like me, it was not her choice to come, and she had to sit and watch us be grossed out by our food, and not even have bread to eat. (She ordered a salad, but wouldn't eat it). By the time I choked down my greasy pasta, I had wished I was the vegan who didn't eat. So, if you would eat this quality of food, but want to save money and have better service, go to McDonald's. If you want a better selection of food, better wine and better service at similar cost, go to Bonefish or Anthony's. We went to those on the next few nights, and had a much better experience. read more

Called with a special order. My Mother in Law is very ill, 81 and has a special diet. I needed the order for pick up because she is being cared for at a treatment facility. Candice answered the phone and listened to every word I said. She was attentive, I know because when she put me on hold to get the manager, Jerrod(?) (sorry!!) he explained he knew the situation and asked me what she needed. He took special care to suggest options that would work and agreed to have it ready for pick up. Even mashed a baked potato himself and added garlic and butter so we were sure about the sodium content. When I arrived, the host immediately notified Jerrod and he brought the order out himself. Said "It's on me. Have a great night!" What an amazing, warm and understanding staff!! Mom was tickled. That's where we celebrated her birthday a few months back. Always a favorite of hers. She was tickled and I am just thankful!!! read more

Frozen Seafood served semi heated is a throwback to the TV Day dinners of yore. The hitches the TV dinners we're both tastier and have better quality than what you'll get at this Big Box restaurant. The food is good, always as expected, and their specials are decent. The problem here is that they don't adequately staff the restaurant except for a brief hour or two midday and in the evening. Many Kennewick residents are early risers, as witness the busy roads as early as 6 AM. I and others are ready for lunch at 11 or 11:30. Though the restaurant is open at 11, I often have to wait to be seated while there are only a handful of customers. "Coincidentally" I get seated a few minutes from when I see four or five employees arrive, all within a few minutes. If you're a restaurant that opens at 11, you should be staffed enough to serve the customers. Last week we were there at 11:30 and had to wait over 20 minutes, along with about 15 other people, as there was only one server on duty at the time. Once in a while, I could understand, but this is every time I visit, which has become less frequent as time goes by. There are too many other options in that area, and those restaurants respect my time. read more

My wife and I like to enjoy endless shrimp once a year. This year we went and sat at the bar at 5:09 pm on Oct 2nd. At first we were the only people at the bar and it still took the bartender almost 5 minutes before taking our drink order. We ordered and everything was going ok until the "endless refill" part. We ate our initial shrimp in about 5 minutes and then proceeded to wait 10 minutes for a refill. Then the bartender seemed to get a little busy taking care of the bar and the cocktail hour and we became and after thought to him. I had to wave him down to get a second round of drinks and ask where our next refills were. I then had to waive him down after my water was empty for the better part of 20 minutes. Although we were upset, we paid for it and we were going to get our fill so we waited and waited and waited for more shrimp on a regular basis. It was a 3 hour dinner!!! Our last refill which was an order of shrimp scampi and an order of teriyaki shrimp took 35 minutes to come...and the teriyaki shrimp were cold! Terrible experience. Terrible management for letting this kind of service happen in their restaurant. read more

We just ate at the red lobster restaurant. I've been here several times but have never seen it as dirty as it was this time. The petitions they had that divided the rooms were totally covered with dust (at least a weeks worth). There were crumbs on the counters the bar, and dirt on the walls at the tables. The food is generally good there, but the uncleanliness this time gets a very low ranking from me. If the restaurant isn't clean how do we know the food is clean? Come on RL, as much money as you charge you can afford to be clean at least! read more

We recently called the Kennewick Red Lobster on Mother's Day to take my 86 year old mother out for dinner. They don't take reservations, but told us they would put in a "call-ahead" for 5 of us at 5. When we arrived, they said they had our name down, but it would be 45 minutes. The three hostesses were all very immature, lacked training and needed some adult supervision. They kept telling everyone 45 minutes, and many people left. I went to look in the smaller dining room near the restrooms, and to my surprise, in that section alone there were SIX empty tables. So people were waiting in the lobby, but they had many empty tables. This is a bad business practice, as most people would rather be seated and get a glass of water and coffee, than wait in the lobby. We called the Twigs restaurant across the street and they said they could seat us right away, so we took our name off of the list and went there. Went out with my daughter on a Sunday night. Arrived at 9:40pm. It is supposed to close at 10pm. Noone greeted us for several minutes. I could see the host in the kitchen area playing on his cell phone as i tried to get his attention. I also heard the kitchen or dish staff swearing at each other. After a waitress finally came by, it was about 945pm. The host came up and wouldnt look me in my eyes and obviously didnt want to seat us. He said it was too late to be seated. Thought my husband, kiddo,and I could go out and celebrate veteran's day early since they were doing vet's discount Thursday and Friday and thought it would be really good. But it wasn't. We got 2 free apps, stuffed mushrooms which the mushroom part was good but the stuffing was nasty, but the shrimp cocktail was really good. our food came he got lobster tacos, I think he liked them. I got shrimp scampi Alfredo. First bite was gross, second I could tell it was very pre-made stuff. My daughter had mashed potatoes with her shrimp. shrimp was ok. Mashed potatoes?! Disgusting. I can deal with shitty food but what really made me made was the bill. You know how some place yup the suggested tip about on bills? Kinda handy right? Well the bill came and it was about 40 dollars. I always tip only 15% unless it was a freaking amazing experience. Well I looked at the suggested tip amount and thought 9 dollars was a little high for 15% of our bill. so I got out my phone to use the calculator. Well I was right! It was about 3 dollars too high! I don't even know what to say about that except we'll never be eating there ever again. read more

My wife and I went to the Kennewick Wa. Red Lobster on Feb. 6th, 2018. We both ordered "the lobster lovers dream" ($40.00 per plate.) It seemed to take longer than one would expect to have our food placed in front of us. All of the food, including mashed potatoes, noodles, and both lobsters, were cold to the touch. I advised the waiter this as soon as the plate was placed in front of me. She apologized and she would be right back with another plate. In the mean time, I asked my wife how her plate was, she advised me that her plate was luke warm but she didn't want to say anything. After about 10 minutes, the waiter returned with what I thought was another plate. I checked the temperature of the lobster and it was warm. I took a taste of the baked lobster and it was the most disgusting tasting lobster I have ever experienced! The top was crusty and the rest was way over cooked and rubbery. It tasted like soap! I had my wife taste it and she spit it out and agreed. I tasted the potatoes and they were luke warm in the middle and cold on the outside. The noodles were warm and had very little shrimp and tiny crab type claw meat, which tasted soapy like the baked lobster. The other smaller lobster was warm and tasted good. The waiter came back later and never asked how out meal was for us, the bill was right at $100.00. We paid the bill and left. My wife said that we would have had a better meal if we would have gone to the grocery store and bought a frozen T.V. dinner! We are not the type of folks to complain about our food, but this was the worst, most expensive dinner I have ever had! We will never return to Red Lobster. I'm quite sure they warmed up the same plate that they removed from me that was cold and something got spilled or poured on to the larger lobster, it tasted like soap. read more

We had a group of 12 and first off, I am aware of their policy where gratuity is "expected" in the amount of 18% but some in our group was not aware of this and when they signed their credit card receipt added 15% as when handed the bill just put their card on the bill holder and didn't see it already added in. Nothing was said when they picked up the tabs. Our table probably had a bill of about 400 and so it would seem, the higher the bill, the higher the cut. It's just wrong to volunteer someone else's money When we bring up this issue the answer is "other restaurants do it" . Some ask then why go there, because a number of folks in our group wanted to. Then when I got my salad plate, it looked like a wad of gum on the bottom or something stuck on it, the waitress replaced the salad plate. As much money as was spent, Red Lobster needs to take it up a notch. And we sent people ahead of our group to get in line and notify them of a large group and we waited for over an hour. In fact, we spent almost as much time waiting as it did to eat and run. We were there for about an hour and a half at our table and the whole table probably paid about 76.00 in tips, not bad for 90 minutes of table time. Will I return? Not if I have any say about it but will go if they insist. Red Lobster has the highest prices in town, they just figure- hey, you can afford our food, you can afford to pay more. i was at red lobster on jan. 14th for dinner. i ordered the lobster bake and it was terrible. lobster had no taste and the potatoes were mushy. the best part of it was the meesly piece of corn. for $28 i could have gone to anthony's and had 5 times the quality. you are way too proud of your prices. then the waitress asked if i wanted dessert. it was my birthday and i thought the dessert should have been on the house but nothing was said or she didn't ask a manager. i will never eat at your establishment again and am telling all my friends how terrible it was and don't go because the food sucked for the prices you charge. read more
