Service was terrible. Waited an hour for a table, and sat for half an hour waiting for somebody to get our drink order.

If you're looking for seafood drowning in butter, red lobster is your place! No review is required for most when it comes to Red Lobster. It's your run-of-the-mill chain seafood restaurant. Typical surf and turf, typical lobster, coconut shrimp, etc. the details that matter at places like this are customer care and atmosphere. The one complaint I would make about a couple of our past trips is the layout of the restaurant. In order to maximize seating they placed the hostess stand at the front door and started seating immediately around it. This means from October to March, if you're seated near the hostess, you're freezing. This isn't something they are likely to change, it's just something to keep in mind if you visit this location. The wait staff at this store is always very kind and helpful and the do a great job pacing the meal so you don't get your entree at the same time as appetizers. Red lobster has always been a favorite of ours for seafood but the price point is pretty high. For my wife and I, dinner with tip was more than $90. To be fair, that does include two-20 ounce Stella's. I'm a sucker for an import on draft! read more

My son ordered Red Lobster for his mom on Mother's Day. He choose to use door dash. What a mistake. We ordered at 5:17. Pick up time on the receipt was 5:43. The door dash driver kept texting my son saying he was still waiting at the restaurant. We got our food at 7:20. Red Lobster is only 2 miles from my house. This food was cold. I have been in the restaurant business for almost 30 years. Most of that time has been spent as a Kitchen Manager. This food had been traveling for quite a while or sitting and waiting for the driver to be cold. Now some of you say what do you expect it's Mothers Day. I would expect honesty and for my delivery person not to be so over extended that I get cold food. I will say that after being microwaved it did have a good flavor. We came here despite having our car parked next door at TGI Friday's after disappointing service. The place was very lively and we were seated immediately despite coming in at the middle of dinner rush. Our waitress was very tentative and always checked on us. It wasn't my choice to come here but I also wasn't going to complain. But after all was said and done this particular visit was suboptimal. Service was fantastic and those biscuits...mmmboy! We also had crab-stuffed Rangoon shrimp (whatever it's called) as an appetizer; also very good! The disappointment was with the clam chowder. I've had better. There even! But also I tried the new wagyu beef bacon cheeseburger. When it was presented you could see how much the brioche bun glistened with...butter? Not that it was any part of the problem but it kept me from wanting to touch my phone for fear of leaving copious amounts of glistening formula on my screen. But, really, the taste was lacking. The bacon on it was limp. What would have made it good was some sautéed onions (which aren't a part of it and I'm not sure if I could've gotten some). But I did pour the leftover Rangoon dipping sauce on there for some added flavor. Next time I won't get my burger from a seafood joint. read more

We went to the red lobster on Thursday for lunch. The food was ok. I had the Cllam chowder and artichoke dip. There was not one artichoke in the dip, it didn't even taste like artichoke. A friend had the lobster bisque, she commented not an pieces of lobster in the dish either. Another friend had some prepared vegetables like Brussel sprouts she did indicate that they had good flavor but then later in the day upset her stomach. This is a really nice red lobster. It is it busy, which is pretty unusual for a red lobster restaurant elsewhere, in my opinion. We have always had pretty good service, and the food has been consistently good. When we went there for my birthday our waiter gave me a free dessert, which was really nice. My favorite is when they have the unlimited shrimp fest - or whatever that thing is called - that is definitely the time to go to red lobster. read more

We arrived and no one came over to us until we needed to go get the waiter and they said they had to find them. Then someone finally came out and said I guess I'll take your orders. They FINALLY took our drink order 45 min later. Then brought bread. We waited 2 hours for them to bring out our food. They brought no silverware. There were waitresses just standing around counting their tips and ignoring us. Other customers who came in hours after us got their food faster. This was ridiculous. Also the water in the male bathroom was scalding hot and my grandson burned his hands. Most ridiculous experience I've had in years at any restaurant. The fish n chips were sad. One tiny fish fillet and like 4 fries. One star was too good. The food was also freezing. There were waitresses sitting at tables on their cell phones while people waited. There was one lady who jumped in to help us and tried her hardest to help us but overall this was ridiculous. Also the kid's fish and chips had more food than the adult portion. I am surprised, and very disappointed, with my experience at this establishment last night. Upon entering, one is overwhelmed by a damp, musty smell that permeates the building. The restroom, of all places, is the only place this aroma does not assail. We were greeted promptly and courteously. Our server was, at first, very eager to have our order yet when ask to be given a few minutes, 15 minutes went by. I was very anxious to try a king crab and steak dinner. I was inform I could add a steak to the generous amount of King Crab Legs that I will be receiving. I ordered the New York Strip. My mouth began to water. I was informed that it comes with a salad and one side. Though the menu clearly states two sides. I ordered long grain rice as my side and a Corona to drink while I waited...and waited...and waited. Ten minutes passed until my beer came. I had to ask for it again. When the food finally arrived my meal consisted of 7 crab legs that were half the normal size of King Crab Legs. I would call them Pauper Crab Legs. They were over steamed and rubbery. The New York Steak was appropriate in size but the cook must love peppercorn as my steak was just chalked full of it. It drowned out the flavor of the meat. The rice was the only acceptable food item served to me. I paid $62 bucks for a $3 TV dinner. I will never set foot into another Red Lobster again. This location is new and features Red Lobster's updated decor as they try to get away from the sea shanty theme. The dining area is kept clean and the wait staff are very very good. Always have had a good experience here. It's kind of tricky to get into because it is part of a large retail development, but there are access points off of both Creasy and 26. I like Red Lobster although it's not the best seafood I've ever had, it's acceptable. read more

This was one of my favorite spots to eat. My husband and I went there for our anniversary dinner. My food arrived cold and needed to be sent back. His steak was cooked to a well done when requested at medium. They took the steak back and left the rest if his food. We ended up just sharing what he had, so we could eat together. I ended up just taking my ultimate feast home as he was done with his food by the time mine got there. At least the animals got to eat. Was very disappointed. We will not be returning. read more

The service was good. We waited and hour and a half to be seated, I know they do not have enough tables to seat 8. We were told no call a heads for this weekend, while waiting i heard the girl at front desk taking call ahead seating. I asked her about it and she said we only do for four people or less. The staff at door seemed unfriendly and very unhappy. Come on it was Father's Day. The food was cold, the lobster tail was stuck to inside of shell, the fried shrimp was cold. Our daughter had to send her steak back twice, at which time we were all finished eating. There was no discount on the terrible food and the 3 hours we spent there. I am not usually a complainer but this was ridiculous, as the place wasn't even full of customers. We did have two children that sustained the wait pretty well. The service was perfectly fine and so was the atmosphere but my husband and I came in for a special treat the "endless shrimp" and I'm not positive if it just this particular red lobster or the entire chain that has INCREASED PRICES and LOWERED FOOD QUANTITY AND QUALITY. IT IS SERIOUSLY RIDICULOUS! The endless shrimp used to be $15.99 and this time it was 17.99 per person but the upsetting, annoying, ridiculous part was the shrimp. The quantity was so low I had to take picture to post what was actually brought to me. At one time my "refill of endless shrimp scampi" I was given 4 little shrimps. 4. FOUR SHRIMP. It took all of 45 seconds to eat and then wait for the waiter to come back and ask if we wanted another order of shrimp and then wait for another tiny dish of shrimp. It was like the old endless shrimp plates cut in 1/2 (and that's a generous fraction.....) WASTE OF MY TIME AND MY MONEY. Red lobster has lost my families business and also anyone I can tell. My family and I went to this location after getting off the highway. Red Lobster is my mothers favorite place for dinner. The hostess was very friendly and accommodating to our seating needs. This was the end of our wholesome experience. Waitress Shayla M, at first seemed welcoming then her attitude changed. My daughter has some health issues and asked Shayla to help her with her meal choice. I noticed that Shayla become rude and condescending. Telling my daughter that red Lobster steamed all their vegetables; as if my daughter was stupid for not knowing. Then when she brought our salads she basically toss the bowl to my 90 year old mother. I gave her a look and she said" it's salad" in a nasty tone. At first I thought she asked if we wanted sour cream. She was like, no, I was telling you it was salad; you looked at me like you did not know what it was. At this point, I saw a look of disgust on my mothers face. My mom also noticed that another party that came in after us was being served quicker than we were. We finally got our food but could not enjoy it after the bad service. I will not go to Red Lobster again at this location. After three weeks of asking for redemption, was only given a $20 gift card. That was our worth, $20. read more

I was there on a Sunday (Labor Day weekend) to take my daughter and her room mate for dinner. We were relieved to see that there was no wait in getting seated since the girls were very hungry. If there was a wait, we would have gone elsewhere. However, our food took a very long time and we noticed that the customers who came after us were being served! And we were still left to wait for our food..our drinks were refilled for the 3rd time already and we still had not gotten our food. I was very upset at this point. Just when I was debating whether to walk out and find another place, the manager (Mike) brought our food out himself and apologized profusely. He not only was sincerely apologetic with words but with his actions. He ended up giving us a generous discount on our food which was delicious. Our first meal in Lafayette, IN would have engraved our memory with a very bad experience. However, although they were faced with a tough situation with too many customers and not enough kitchen staff, management was able to send customers back home with a smile in the end. So, the large platters I need Christmas Eve I'm encouraged to call at 10:30 am and give them an hour before picking up. Wonder if the phone lines or someone to assist will be available? Had dinner tonight at Red Lobster. The appetizer (lobster pizza) was very good. The service was also good and efficient. The entrees while they had good flavor were warm at best. The restaurants was not busy and the food didn't seem to take that long to get to the table so being just warm was inexcusable. The price you pay for an entrée there seems high for the portion sizes. My Cesar Salad was under dressed and they use shaved cheese rather than graded. Who does that? My Shrimp Alfredo was average. The little shrimps were clearly from a bag. I can do better at home.
