We went Sunday evening expecting a possible wait. What I couldn't understand, was why we had to wait 30 min staring at 1/4 of the restaurant completely empty. I have to guess this is a common staffing issue based on other reviews. Once we were seated, the service was great and the food was well cooked and tasted as I would expect it to for a chain. Although, the restrooms needed attention. I couldn't take my daughter in the men's room without cleaning a toilet for her. Not my favorite activity when I'm out to dinner. I returned to the table and asked my wife to try her luck, and it didn't sound much better. It leaves doubt in my mind as to the time and attention being given to other places commonly out of sight. So, the service saved a star here but overall they're excellence was overshadowed by poor management. read more

What can I say it's Red Lobster but I do have high expectations especially if I'm dropping over 20 dollars per entree. We were craving the cheddar biscuits for quite some time. This location did not disappoint, everything was on point. No wait, drinks were delicious and gave me a buzz, this biscuits were served fresh and hot, and our meal was prepared as we asked. I ate there today and was surprised that the food was really good and service was great. I prefer the Red Lobster on Noland Road in Independence. The food is always good there!!! But was happy that today it was really good at the Lee's Summit location. I would probably go to Lee's Summit location again as it is closer to home. It is red lobster. Its like any other I guess. The service was good. The restaurant was clean. If you've never been to Red Lobster, don't expect premier seafood. It's somewhere between Captain D's and what you can make at home from a local grocery store. It ain't McCormick and Schmicks. read more

Well we arrived at the restaurant at 4pm party of 6 the waitress was pushy about ordering appetizers she finally took our order, it took so long to get it I was so upset I didn't even want it anymore, cmon it was Father's Day it took about an hour to get our food one of the assistant managers went to ask if everything was ok??? Obviously it wasn't she offered a free dessert are you kidding, service overall horrible and without saying the food came out over cooked I was so disappointed and mad to see how they don't even care about their customers, manager took appetizers out of the check and that's it!!!!!!! Food was good! Presentation on plate poor( scampi was a jumble in the bowel). Seated quickly followed by a less than caring waitstaff.

Ok the wife and I went and tried it out they open at 4 and we got there about 4:30 walked in and was seated I had the crab trio and felt that it was over priced for what it was.my wife had ultimate feast and it was good again felt like it was small portions on a huge plate but cooked well.for 54.28 I got more for my money at joe crab shack. read more

This place looks to be a hot mess tonight. Plenty of clean wide open tables and a long line of people waiting to be seated. I am pretty sure we have a staffing issue as many people are finished and leaving but very few people are being seated. The young lady at the hostess stand will not look people in the eye and what looks like a manager comes to the front and does the same. No eye contact and run away quickly. All you can eat shrimp? Right! You get 2 small choices in the beginning and then one at a time there after. I kid you not, we were there for over 2 hours. It was ridiculous. Leaving the lonely, neglected bathroom, stepping over discarded paper towels standing sentinel on the shores of small puddles of urine, I made my way back to my seat. Navigating the garbage strewn service area, I was appalled at how far this franchise has fallen. Lines out the door while tables sat empty. Unresponsive, poorly trained waitstaff. Workers blithely ignoring trash underfoot as they make their way back and forth from the kitchens. Are you seeing a pattern? This is what happens when inept management is unleashed upon a once proud franchise. Good Lord, when even the draft beer is sub-par we are witnessing a store closing in the making. Never have I seen such a poorly plated, overpriced appetizer as was presented to my friend and I as we sat at the bar. A soggy, salty, limp crab cake and 4 grease soaked, size challenged mushrooms for $12? And I may not be versed in the art of culinary presentation, but someone needs a a refresher course on the basics of appealing plating technique. I would hope that dumping food on a big white plate has not become the standard in restaurants today. Endless biscuits? No, only endless waiting for said biscuits. A glass of water? No, only the promise and disappointment that follows. As for the main dish, a wise man once said, "Oversalted and underwarmed is no way to go through life, son." Very disappointing! Took 66 year old mom who fondly remembers when 'going out to Red Lobster was for celebrations' for her birthday. Waited 15-20 minutes for drinks, another 15 minutes for appetizers, salads came only after we asked for them as entrees were delivered to table, another 25! minutes to get more 'all you can eat shrimp' and had to go to front desk to get the bill we had requested ( after waiting another 20 minutes for that!) The manager took 25% off when salads came after entrees, apologized and said would take care of problem. The problem is service only continued to get worse! The waitress was very nice and polite but obviously too busy to provide good service. If the manager or assistant managers were helping their staff we didn't see it on our side of the restaurant. As we were leaving we were hearing a mom politely complain that their table of 12 had been waiting for over an hour and had only received salads. This was a Wednesday night from 6-8 p.m during the Royals playing in the World Series. It was NOT busy in this restaurant (multiple tables empty around us). Mom still likes this place but husband and I will steer her to another place for our next celebration! Suggest you steer clear too. read more

My wife and I decided to go out to dinner the other night and have decided we will never visit the Lee's Summit Redlobster again. When we first arrived we sat at the bar waiting for a table. My wife ordered a drink and then the bar tender brought us our tab. I reached in the glass to get the bill and noticed the reciept and my hand were wet. The jar had someother customers nasty tobbacco chew they spit out in the jar. Her only explanation was I don't know how that got in there. We finally were seated after about 30 minutes. We placed our orders. She brought out our salads and biscuits to us and left. The only problem was we didn't have silverwear. We got her attention and she went to another table and got my wife a set and left. Then she went to another table and got me a set. When we paid our $39 bill with a $50 goft certificate our reciept said we only had $2 and some change left on teh card even thought we had never used it. Stopped by for lunch. It had been MANY years since I ate at Red Lobster and my husband was hungry for salmon. Have to admit, wasn't sold on the idea because of some low reviews of this location and know some friends who ate here with not so good experiences. But I figured why not and I had never been at this location. Restaurant seemed very clean and tidy, and gave off more of a high-end restaurant than what I remembered. I ordered the cedar plank salmon with baked potato, broccoli and a Cesar salad. Hubby ordered the salmon as well. It was very delicious and cooked perfectly (I don't like how some places overcook the salmon) and baked potato was just right (again, some places cook their baked potato to where it's hard in the middle) and broccoli was cooked perfectly, very green and crispy. Also shared an add-on of crab legs, which were cooked just right. My favorite place to go to for salmon is Longhorn, but I believe this was just as good, cheaper and you 1 more side. Not to mention the cheddar bay biscuits!! Would definitely be back. Oh and our waitress was great!! read more

I had the crab cakes and crab Oscar salmon during crab fest. On the menu the picture of the lump crab cakes looked good but were the worst crab cakes I have ever tasted. They were overcooked and dry and had no flavor. Plus they were much smaller than they appeared in the photo. The salmon would have been much better just plain without the crab Oscar sauce on it. On the menu it says the salmon is drizzled with a crab hollandaise topping meaning there's crab in every bite. What a joke. There were 3 pieces of crab and I'm not sure it really was crab. It looked like the crab was separated into individual fibers that were all tangled up into a ball and the texture was horrible. It felt like I was eating something stringy and rubbery. It had a bad taste to it and didn't taste anything like crab. It actually didn't even taste like real food. I suspect the crab hollandaise sauce was made at least a week ago and they are trying to pass it off as fresh. Very disappointing. I have lost my taste for Red Lobster and it will be a very very long time if ever that I go there to eat again because of this bad experience. When the manager stopped by the table to ask how everything was I did tell her about my complaints. She didn't seem too interested, just said she would check it out and left and I never heard back from her again. I'm sitting here about 4 hours later and I still have an upset stomach from the food that I ate. read more

Went to celebrate husbands birthday for dinner. Arrived at about 7:15....restaurant wasn't busy at all, however it took forever just to get appetizers! Then it took forever to get our food, which was hard to believe because hardly anybody in restaurant. There was 5 of us....after waiting approximately 1 hour from when we ordered food they brought however they messed up and brought wrong entree to our daughter.....sampler entree when she ordered Tacos with baked potato because waiter said they were out of rice. So waiter said would be 4 minutes and he would have tacos out.. Well about 20 minutes later he brings out her tacos, and guess what no potato and stated again they were out of rice. By this time the rest of us were pretty much done eating and asking for to go boxes. Red Lobster shame on you didn't even offer a discount or offer the tacos for free! Very disappointed and will not suggest going there. read more
