I used to get the clam chowder all the time and it was thick and tasty. Today I got it and I already knew before I was going to eat it that it may not be good because it was very runny. This visit to Red Lobster several weeks ago was a God send. My favorite food is oysters. When I opened up the menu and saw all of these oyster dishes I was amazed as I remembered when they did not even serve oysters. We had the best oysters on the half shell that we have ever eaten, and we have eaten them all over the world. The fried ones were the first I have even seen in the USA fried with almost no crust only floured and put into the hot oil. Thanks for bringing back great oysters from the LA cost. I believe that their deliveries are on Tuesday. If you love oysters, I fully recommend Red Lobster. read more

Man. I tell you what. Our waitress was perfect. BUT whoever in that kitchen making food, can't read or doesn't understand food. Ugh. Tried out the family feast for four at $56. Ordered online and it showed a 15 minute pickup. Nope. More like 30. To make it worse, they didn't even get it right with all the extra time. 2 biscuits. So I guess that's half a biscuit per person? Ordered coconut shrimp it was all cooked to death the shrimp inside was just thin and dry. Inedible. White fish- got 3 pieces the size of fish sticks, so again what is the portion size? Ordered broccoli, didn't get that at all. The shrimp scampi was okay and a reasonable portion to share with maybe 3 people. Ordered baked potatoes: should have gotten 4 got 6. The salad was warm because it was under the hot food, but it is NOT the nice salad you get if you dine in. They did pack the expected sauces and condiments. read more

Red Lobster offers free appetizers for veterans on Veterans Day. They don't have to do it, and I certainly don't feel like I'm entitled to free stuff. But I do appreciate their thoughtfulness, and I did enjoy our stuffed mushrooms. So, Thank you! When we walked in, we were told there was a twenty minute wait, so we headed to the bar, like we usually do. We have always really liked the bar at this Red Lobster, but tonight, it was a hot mess. Besides my wife and myself, there were two other people in the bar, and there were five people behind the bar. And each person behind the bar saw us walk in and sit down, and they went about whatever chore they were working on without even acknowledging our presence. No one said a word or even nodded. After about ten minutes, I finally asked if anyone was working there. The bartender did apologize and said that they had been slammed earlier, but being ignored by that many people is inexcusable. Fortunately, our table was ready fairly quickly. My wife and I each had the Bar Harbor Bake, and they were excellent. And the service in the restaurant was much better than in the bar, so I decided not to lower my rating for this visit. read more

Just had my brothers birthday there last night. While it was obvious they were having some staffing problems as evidenced by the un bussed tables and slow service, I can not speak highly enough of our server Clay. He was great. Special touches and a great attitude and attentiveness. We really appreciated the little birthday treat he brought my brother. I wish we had taken a picture. He had decorated the plate of ice cream with a scrolled happy birthday and little decorations of whipped cream and had found a candle and had several of servers sing for him. Couldn't have had a better server particular for our normally very Picky table. Thanks Clay! This review would have been 5 stars if it was just based on him. Management was also very nice. The food was perfect! Everything was edible and delicious. It was delivery and the packaging was great, not messy. Nothing was missing. Very happy with our meal. i ordered the lobster tail and filet mignon, ordered the steak medium rare, came out blue rare. It was like it wasn't cooked for more then 30 seconds on each side. I couldn't cut into it and when i did it was cold. I asked for it to be fixed expecting a new steak and was brought out the same steak i had cut in half cooked well done. The lobster tail was also cold and chew like it was kept under a McDonalds heating lamp for the past hour. Never offered a discount or heard a single apology. We had an early dinner around 4 pm on a weekday. We parked right up front. We were graciously greeted as soon as we walked in & seated immediately without a wait. The parking lot, lobby area, & our booth was clean. The ladies restroom was clean as well. Our waitress was a very nice young lady & was extremely attentive to us. She was knowledgeable about the menu & offered helpful suggestions. The cheddar bay biscuits were nice & fresh. I had the Tropical White Sangria, which came with a souvenir charm. My husband had the Lobster Lovers Punch, which came with a souvenir take home glass. Our appetizer was a combo of cold shrimp, coconut shrimp, & stuffed mushrooms. We both thought the drinks were a nice addition to our appetizer & meal. I had the Wood Grilled Lobster, Shrimp, & Salmon with rice, mashed sweet potatoes, & broccoli & my husband had the Lobster Lover's Dream. It was all delicious! This was our 1st experience at this location, & it was a pleasant one. So, if we are nearby again, we'll be back. read more

This has always been my favourite place for my husband and I to go to splurge a little but we have not been there in a while. You would think that as much as we spent on our food or would have been cooked correctly. The stuffed mushrooms tasted like the mushrooms were old, three broccoli was hard, but the fried shrimp was over cold. The scampi was pretty good but VERY salty. So I filled up on the biscuits because you can't mess those up. I won't be back until the rating goes up because that is just way too much money to waste. read more

Have not been to a Lobster in quite some time. This visit reminds me why..........I ordered a lobster and shrimp thing in a tiny hot dog bun. Came with three very small shrimp (41/45's) and parts of a lobster that are fairly insignificant. (The red , thin parts.) Thin, diluted mayo concoction was added for "flavor". Bun was tough. Four bites and it's gone. $8.99 for that wretched nothing. Had a bowl of clam chowder, tasted like it came right out of a Campbell's soup can. $5.99 for THAT amazing add-on. Tea, and that was the meal. Waitress never came back to fill the glass, tipped her three bucks anyway. Why do we tip inept wait people? $22.00 for this scrumptious fare? Ha!!! OK ! We went in for my birthday tonight. I had to talk fast to get my family of fifteen to agree to try red lobster again. We always spend a lot and many restaurants don't want to take large groups or don't give good service when they do take us. The manager gave us a special private area and let us use a party menu. May 30th 2021 my family and I went to this this location,it was absolutely horrible. We were shocked because we have been to this establishment in the past & the food was always good. The waitress had messed up several times on our order & my uncle ate the wrong soup because he didn't want to complain.... she forgot an appetizer and my little niece got grilled chicken fingers instead of fried one( she's 2,she obviously likes breaded nuggets) .My crab legs were the smallest I ever have seen before. I was still starving & ate the rest of his walts shrimp he was going to bring home. I was shocked that he even ordered something to bring home something for my brother....then my mom had to ask the waitress for "the famous rolls" to stuff inside the go bag.,they should have been on the table but were not either. For my 45th bday I wanted to go to Red Lobster so with my husband and daughter, we visited the location located at 1814 Gallatin Rd. Madison, TN 37115. Our waiter was Jared P and he was awesome, he made sure that we pleased the entire visit however when it was time for the check. I asked Drew if I could get a cheesecake for my bday and gave him my license for verification being that Red Lobster is my favorite restaurant, Ive been going there for the last 7 years and has alway received a Free desert for my special day. However, today the manager on duty named Aaron was very disrespectful sending the waiter Drew back to the table to tell me "No we dont give out free deserts" I was confused being that our bill was almost $70, we didnt need anything Free, just thought they would reciprocate the nice gesture they do every year.!! Not this manager (Aaron), he even told the server to come to the table and tell me that "I can report him to anyone I wanted too..he didnt care". I have never in life been treated like this by any staff members at Red Lobster and was very disturbed by the manager attitude at this location. It wasn't even busy, so the attitude displayed by management was very unnecessary. He wouldn't even come to the table when we asked to speak with him. Me and my family will not be returning to this location ever again, not that Aaron cares but just wanted to let other patrons know how management acts at this location only, especially Aaron, they need new management... Oh man from start to finish the waitstaff was polite and I loved their southern accents. My bf and I came here for date night during my stay there and they treated us like royalty! So many compliments from everyone and not just from our waitress for a good tip! This was one of the best nights out with the family I have had in years!! We arrived on a busy Friday night, place was already full, but they invited us to sit in the bar. We were almost going to just go somewhere else thinking they were too busy. Thank goodness we didn't! We had the pleasure of Roosevelt taking care of us at dinner and he made sure we were taken care of with better service than I have ever had!! We've dined in numerous countries throughout Europe and US, so that's not empty praise!! The food was great, but the service was what we were blown away by! What most ppl dont know about Red Lobster here and the one at Antioch is there food is subpar, the crab legs and lobster especially and these are suppose to be what they specialize in. Crablegs bend and mush instead of cracking open, this is a sign of OLD seafood or overdone seafood. Their cooks definitely need some training in both locations. Horrible- just horrible! Zero stars wasn't an option so I gave them 1. The waters tasted like they came from the lobster tank- seriously! We sent them back- uggg! Waiter was too busy and didn't take care of our needs. We were sat at a table that was freezing and mostly ignored- not necessary his fault and I tipped 20% but - DANG! The Food was iffy- mash potatoes for my 12 year old Neice was nasty. Crab legs were shy of 1 pound - as they have been before. I only come to RL because my Neice loves crab legs - I would never go there if I was choosing - but wow ! No small fork for the crab legs so it was tricky for her to eat said crab legs - please tell me why red lobster does not have a small fork for crab legs? Sounds like management issues! Last time I was there they were having plumbing issues and the whole restaurant smelled like poop! What the heck is going on and how are you still open - yuk! No manager touched our table and it was- as I said to begin with - HORRIBLE! No one asked how everything was and I suspect it was because they knew it was terrible. Well I am going to leave a post before we even eat. We were told a 20 minute wait for 2, well 45 minutes later and we still don't have a seat. The point that makes us mad is, several rooms are empty and the door is shut, you would think with a crab feast special they would have extra help and all rooms open for seating. They only have a few waiters working and the lobby is full. The manager(s) shouls ALL be either retrained or fired, lots of walk outs. read more

This afternoon, I went to this Red Lobster. As soon as I entered, there was a terrible smell that seemed to come from the carpet or something. I sat down and asked for the mixed grill. I've had two past terrible experiences with the specific meal because every time it is undercooked, so this time I made sure to clarify with the waiter that the seafood meat would be cooked very well. However, the food, as usual, was undercooked and seemed raw. I told the waiter and she told me she would cook the salmon again, however, the scallops and shrimp were also undercooked, so I could not eat any of my meal. The worst part was that the host was so unprofessional and rude, but the waiter was helpful. The waiter attempted to call the manager, but the host interrupted and said the manager was not present.
