This is more a general review of all the red lobsters I've been to in my life. I keep going back hoping it will be better because I LOVE LOVE LOVE the cheddar biscuits. The love ends there. I seriously get sick every time I go there. My daughter ordered a whole lobster we couldn't even crack thru it. The waiter graciously tried to at our table and couldn't so brought it to the back. When he brought it back to her she couldn't eat it. It was full of shells from the bad butchering job I suppose. The waiter sent the manager right over and he was apologetic and took it off the bill. The food is made with such bad quality. Sorry to say this but I've been not feeling well all afternoon. Good service but horrible food and when it comes to dining, good food is crucial. Its a chain restaurant NOT fine dining, but everything was clean and fresh, service was nice, my water was always refilled, our orders were correct, the bread is good, and I LOOOOOVED the lobster topping you can add to your baked potato. The moment we walked in it smelled of the sea and not the way you would think, very little theming here--akin to a woman's basement that's not well kept. Biscuits had a subtle taste of dirty dish water, stuffed mushrooms tasted like they were found out in the woods near a foul stream where they also get their water for drinks. Celebrated my birthday here one year with family. We had just come off a cruise to the Bahamas, so of course no restaurant is going to measure up to the high standards you can expect from a cruise ship. However, we were all pleased with our servings. The portions were a really good size (none of us could finish our meals), the prices were not too bad (I have paid much more back home in Canada for a similar meal), and the service was great. read more

Restaurant is filthy and dirty. Glass of soda broke on my daughter while waitress was setting down glass. Popcorn shrimp tasted like bleach. Another dish had hair in it. Only time manager came to table was to tell us chefs in the kitchen were blond or bald so it wasn't them. Management is horrible and is obviously running this place into the ground. It wasn't a very good restaurant the waiter was extremely helpful but own downfall is that I asked for minute made lemonade however I was given their classic lemonade which warm and not very pleasant. Also my burger wasn't very nice and it came with a salad which was apparently included which I didn't ask for so either the waiter was not listening or the menu was misleading so overall it was not a very good meal. read more

Red Lobster is Darden seafood chain. The food is consistent, but it is definitely not 5 start seafood. When I do eat here there are only 3 things I eat, chicken cesar or coconut shrimp and of course the biscuits. There's something about that chicken cesar, but it's really good. Big mistake coming here tonight. We wanted a nice quiet dinner on our last night in Orlando. We were seated right away. Our waiter John was attentive, but talked way too much and was way too loud. We were starving and truly just wanted to order and eat. I don't expect to be entertained by my waiter. God love him, but I didn't need to hear about his daughter being accepted to pre-school in an upscale area where her $9k tuition would be free. Nor did I need to know he worked two jobs ( hey I did too and I had to pay my kids private tuition). Just saying all anyone wants from a waiter is a smile, a normal tone of voice, and to be told the specials. I had not eaten at The Red Lobster in 20 years and it's all coming back. My steamed lobster came out whole with the shell. I was expecting a lobster tail. When I asked for help John said he would return but never did. My hubby helped me. The folks from the table next to us looked on in dismay. They were from the UK. HOW do I know? Because John was so loud discussing with them all the places he had traveled over there. Now maybe since this is a tourist town this is what the waiters are expected to act like. I have no idea. But I go out to dinner for peace and quiet with my hubby. If I want a show I will pay to go to a show. The manager here just stood around looking at people. Either he should be helping or maybe stopping at tables to see how things are going. And in the end John explained to us that the bill was not including a tip???? He explained the different amounts stated to tip!!!! I can read and I do tip. In fact I gave him 20 percent and I am asking myself why? But he went on to say we could tip more if we felt so inclined to do so. Lord help this night get better. We will never be back to any Red Lobster. For $80 I could have had a fine dinner at a quiet place and maybe a little piano music. So done. 2 stars as that's all I can give. Sorry John, your a nice guy. Just tone it down a few notices. Think about what you want when you take your wife out for a nice dinner. Your didn't even ask us why we were there. We were celebrating our 35th wedding anniversary. Husband wanted lobster. It's ok. We will go home to Ca. and head to Scott's Sea Food on the River and celebrate in style. We had great service here. I was a little worried coming here because of the reviews but to my surprise everything turned out to be great. This was probably one of the best red lobsters I've ever eaten in. The food came out very quickly and it tasted amazing!! Which is after all that matters. Don't pay attention to many of the reviews here, because most of them are just complaints about the environment, which from my perspective was perfectly clean. Definitely recommend if you want a quick lunch read more

I view Red Lobster as a good dependable choice. When I'm not looking make things complicated it works. The biscuits were delish as always. The waitress was pleasant, attentive and engaging and the food was tasty if unremarkable. They had a nice selection of 4-course meals for 16.99 which served our girls volleyball Party of four very well. I was disappointed in the paltry section of beers on tap but this is t supposed to be a craft beer restaurant. read more

Today I went to red lobster to celebrate a coworkers retirement. In total there were about 32 of us there to celebrate, I must say the staff there were absolutely wonderful! They took out orders right away, got the orders correct, refilled our drinks without having to ask they were very attentive. We had the back of the restaurant to ourselves and they allowed a photographer to come in and take pics of the retirement dinner and even stored her large cake in there refrigerator without any issues. I must say my dinner was good and the service was just fantastic! I give a great thank you to Red Lobster and there staff for accommodating us without any issues and allowed my coworker to enjoy her retirement dinner! When I walked into the restaurant I almost fell because they're were kids and toys and phones all over the floor a hadn't looked down then I looked up to the left and the men's bathroom, door wide open, was just steps from the door. There was no hostess at the podium. They should have never allowed this family and their children to spread out all their toys on the floor in front of the door. It's a safety hazard. When the Hostess arrived we were quickly led to our seat. The restaurant was just filthy. There was food and trash all over the floor as we weaved through the various narrow walkways. Are server was very pleasant but the food was underwhelming. I ordered the fried fish and chips but 3 of the 4 pieces of Cod we're raw and glistening. I ate the 4th piece, which was white and well cooked. The French fries were lukewarm but OK and the coleslaw was bland and also lukewarm. I also ordered a side of the sweet potatoes, which looked nothing like the upscale picture in the menu. They put so much butter in them that these potatoes were swimming in butter and had about 1 chopped half of walnut on the top. Yuck. Never again. read more

I love Red Lobster, but I have to say this one was very unsanitary and I was very disappointed by the service from the time we tried to sit down until we left, the hostess had to clean the floor, seats and table off a second time because whoever did it previously left a mess! I really wanted to walk out but decided to give it a second chance, my second mistake! The waitress was polite but was a short lived experience. Getting the food was brought out in a timely manner until the hair on my entree was found. Omg! Never was so disappointed and disgusted in my life! Needless to say the whole event made me never want to eat out again. The manager was rude when she came to our table and just really irked me how she acted towards me about the hair that was produced from her kitchen! Absolutely the best food and service I could ever ask for. We were quickly shown to our booth and Anais, our waitress, immediately took our drink orders and order for appetizers. She was very friendly, knowledgeable, and attentive to our needs. Her service was outstanding from beginning to end. I ordered the stuffed mushrooms for appetizer and they were excellent along with the cheddar bay biscuits. I ordered the Fish and chips (traded the chips for a loaded baked potato) and that was the best I have had in a long time, cooked to perfection and prepared the "English" way. My companion ordered the stuffed flounder and again it was stellar perfect. Besides the food being cooked perfectly we were given very large portions and side salads that were huge, great value for the money. If ever back in Orlando I will certainly make this my restaurant of choice. read more

Gluten warning! The cheesecake has been gluten free in the past and is still listed as so on the Red Lobster website allergy sheet. It is clearly not- now has a cookie crust and whipped topping with crumbled cookies. The old version was delicious. We have a family of 5 and as we walked in we were told that it would be a few minutes while they set up our table. We waited and waited... the hostess said it would be another 5 minutes. This place was not very busy for a Friday at 4:30-5:00. When we were finally allowed in, we walked by several empty tables that were able to seat 5... strange. There were no table settings, no menus, so I don't really know why we had to wait until two larger families who arrived after us were seated before us. Hostess was not welcoming; she told us the waitress would be over... we waited and watched them wait on everyone except us. We just felt unwelcomed...very unwelcomed. Strangest experience in a restaurant...ever! We got up and left before ordering. Very bad vibes. Too bad for them as we walked up to a steakhouse and had a wonderful experience and happily paid almost $180 for a delicious meal! Red Lobster's loss! For being in a tourist city you'd think they'd want the positive reputation and income! read more

While at a convention in Orlando, Fl, we visited your restaurant at 5936 International Drive. We were graciously seated and received exceptional service and attention during our meal. The staff had a "party of 18+" they attended to and never missed a detail with any of the other diners. I sat back and observed the entire staff helping, covering, etc. for each other with grace and style! first of all, the food was fresh and delicious. unfortunately, the service was the worst i've ever had. i went to RL with my two friends, who had been to other RL locations before, but not this one. i had never been to any RLs before this night. it took a half hour to get the Cheddar Bay Biscuits. the waitress kept saying that she was waiting for a batch to finish in the kitchen when people that sat down after my friends and i were getting biscuits. after we got the biscuits it took, i'd say 15 more minutes for us to get our side salads. after my friends and i ate our salads we waited. and waited. and waited. our drink levels got low. we hadn't eaten for hours so we were also getting very fatigued and frustrated. eventually, someone other than our waitress, brought our dinners. i received the wrong side to my dinner but another server quickly corrected that. after we ate our dinners our waitress took our plates and asked about dessert. we were all in the mood so we ordered. i had a Key Lime Pie and one of my two friends had the Warm Chocolate Chip Lava Cookie. she wasn't impressed with it. she said it was solid in the middle instead of flowing (lava) like it's supposed to be. i loved the pie though. it was tangy and delicious. after we had dessert the waitress brought the check and asked if we needed anything else, like to-go drinks. one of my friends wanted a drink to-go. the waitress took our money, came back in 5 minutes, and said she was getting the drink. another 10 minutes passed by and my friend just said "forget it" and we left the waitress a measly tip and walked out. the restaurant may have been busy that night but what really irked my friends and i was that people that arrived after us were getting served before us. we really should've reported our waitress to the manager but by the time we got out of the restaurant we were so frustrated and tired that we just wanted to get back to our hotel. i will never go to this RL again. however, i'm probably going to try my local RL. - update: it pays to complain. i had a horrible first experience at a RL, completed the official survey online, and the manager of the restaurant called me personally and is sending me a $40 gift card to give RL another try :] read more

I was very pleasantly surprised. I've been told you don't go to a fish restaurant for steak however, since I couldn't find anything on the menu other than the steak that appealed to me I figured I give the New York strip or shot. It was delicious and tender and cooked perfectly. My server was excellent and I couldn't have been happier with my meal. Even the Caesar salad was really good. Very disappointing, eaten here many times over the last 6 years. The bar man tonight Dominic had the worst attitude I have ever come across, rude and no customer service. Ordered the food appetizers and mains. The mains came out before the appetizers, server was great apologized and couldn't do enough, the floor manager came over apologized and said she would be back to speak to us? Obviously finished for the evening because never saw her again. I have been in the food and beverage industry for 37 years I have seen a lot and dealt with a lot but this was probably one of my worst top 3 in my life! Walking in the restaurant it felt like 85' it was so hot and was told by a server the management was told by corporate to keep the AC at a certain degree. Our drinks melted the first 5 minutes and the fruit flies on my bottle of wine was disgusting. Teri the bartender was so sweet but overwhelmed by the ToGo orders.The manager on duty Jamie didn't touch the table till the bartender asked her as we were leaving. I loved the meal. Why I rate so low? Because it was the rudest and antipathetic waitress I've ever encountered, and I travel a lot all over the world. She tried to steal 50$ from us pretending we lost a note (?!!?!) When we asked for the manager then magically the 50$ note just showed up like 10 feet away from our table and (surprise) in her way to the cash. Humiliating, rude and unacceptable. Not our first time visiting but this time was very upsetting. A large party had some kids next to us and the kid was playing with their gum and it literally flew onto our table. I had to pick it up with one of my forks, literally the most disgusting thing ever. When the host sat us at the table it was still wet. Service from our server was alright. We tipped 25%. At first he seemed very tired, bored and interested until it was time for payment then he seemed more enthusiastic, had to ask for water refills and it took a while for the bread to come for our second round. When the food came it was dropped in sections. Mine first, then my boyfriends then our salads came after instead of it all coming on one tray. The atmosphere of this particular red lobster was very dull. Could barley hear any music playing or anything. I oversee some lunches at a resturant in the area and I really do like red lobster but I feel something should be done about this experience read more
