I have always liked Red Lobster. I have always thought that even though it is a chain, you get a pretty good value for your money. I've always been a fan of their clam chowder. For dinner I usually order the rock lobster tail which is broiled and is always delicious. Today for lunch I had blackened catfish with a baked potato and clam chowder. The 'meat' items, in this case shrimp and lobster, were excellently spiced and prepared, but the accompanying items were weak. The romaine lettuce of the Caesar salad with shrimp was meager at best. There seemed to be more croutons than lettuce. The rice served with the lobster tacos could have been mistaken for Rice-a-Roni, and was super salty. The service was polite but slow even with booths empty next to us. The complimentary biscuits were hot, tasty and fresh. I was here for lunch and the shrimp Caesar salad was full of lettuce and more shrimp. They also had appetizers to die for. Much better value at lunch than the dinner experience. This was a cool place to go to in Prescott at 9pm at night. Great host, Dakota, sat us at the table and Heather attended to all our needs. My family and I made our way here for my grandma in law's 87 birthday and we always come here for it. It wasn't what I'd expected as past experiences have always been good. This time around we brought our baby who at 7 months old is really well behaved and well mannered. The hostess was less than happy to see us, practically irritated and bothered by our party. I don't know why. Ok, well, we had yet to eat and put aside the less than friendly welcome. So we sat and waited and waited until we actually had to ask for some water. Apparently there was a miscommunication with their team and who was going to take care of us. Our salads were slammed on the table, my mother in law's order was wrong and the irritability in our server was evident. Thank you for saying our baby is cute, yes that's nice but we aren't an inconvenience, we're paying customers and felt like we were infringing on their day. I'm hoping our next visit won't be such a bother to these obviously irritated folks. I guess once a year is enough. Admittedly I haven't been to a Red Lobster since the late 90's/early 2000's. They have definitely picked up thief game! It's not the sub par, frozen, mediocre fish house it used to be many years ago. My family went as a party of six, all of us were very pleased with our meal. They could compete with any fish house out there. I ordered the shrimp and scallop sampler, I did not realize it came with a salad and rice. It was very tasty, I do think the menu could better explain the menu options and the menu seemed a bit scattered/disorganized as all of the people in our party had a challenging time following the menu and finding what they wanted to order. With that being said, all of us were very impressed with our meal! Service time was quick and attentive, the meal was hot when it arrived, and the food all tasted very fresh. My only two complaints are, I did think it was a bit over priced and I felt the menu could have been better laid out/organized. I will certainly start going to Red Lobster more, but will reserve it more for lunches or date nights. Side note, they let my daughters pet the live lobsters which was super cool! What happened? Usually Red Lobster never disappoints but tonight the food was subpar at best. I'm from California but it was way below even Denny's standards... We started with some drinks and biscuits and ordered the stuffed mushroom appetizer. The drinks were flat and warm like they sat out all day and the biscuits were still doughy in the middle. The stuffed mushrooms were basically mushrooms drenched in some kind of cheese and sauce with no crab meat or seasoning. No texture and very bland. We all got salads and for our entrees we ordered the Seaside Shrimp Trio, and 2 Create Your Own Trios. The first was coconut shrimp, grilled shrimp and the butter poached lobster meat. The second was shrimp linguine, walt's shrimp and the butter poached lobster meat. The ranch and blue cheese dressing both tasted rancid. Seaside Trio the shrimp linguine had no seasoning and the garlic shrimp scampi was bland as well.. Couldnt even taste garlic! 1st CYO the grilled shrimp were bland and the lobster meat literally looked like it had been chewed up by a cat! 2nd CYO the shrimp linguine had no seasoning was just noodles in cream sauce and this ones lobster meat looked like it got caught in a shredder! Honestly, the lobster meat looked like it was whatever small bits were left in the bottom of the pot and to be counted as an item AND charged an extra $5 each was a total ripoff!! I don't know if it's like this all the time but I won't waste my time or money at this location again! $120 wasted on something I'd expect from a crappy diner NOT RED LOBSTER!! read more

If there were minus stars I would give this idiot, terrible place one thousand! I tried to have a nice meal there 3 times. All were a disaster. First time, I had to get up twice to find a waitress. Any waitress. Just to get water. The second time was even more ridiculous. Cold food, wrong order! The third time was so bad I will never, ever go to this establishment again. The so called manager hid from me! Yes! Terrible service, wrong food brought by the worst waitress I have ever experienced. The dishes were piled so high on the table I could not pay. So finally she took my card (instead of clearing the plates) to pay somewhere. Then didn't give my account the rewards due. It was even worse throughout the whole terrible experience. We have always enjoyed Red Lobster's food and facility. However, we have not been for dine in since the pandemic started. Red Lobster closed for a time, then opened for takeout only, and has now resumed some dine in. On 6/25, we ordered curbside pickup. We arrived 5 minutes after the requested time and were told our order would be out shortly. There were very few vehicles in the parking lot. We waited 25 minutes with no service, then called again. Let me begin by admitting I'm not a sea food connoisseur. It was date night and I wanted something different and fun. The atmosphere was light and the establishment was clean which is HUGE for me. Our waiter was professional, courteous, helpful, and kind. I ended up with the surf and turf and my wife had the lobster Mac-and-cheese. Both of these were well prepared and to be honest, that Mac-and-cheese was incredible. I would be remiss if I did not mention the cheddar bay biscuits and how sinfully good they are. The wife was in the mood for some seafood so we decided to head over to Red Lobster. We have dined at RL off & on for years. Even when they were still called Seafood Broiler. But I have to admit this time it was an exceptional event. Service couldn't be any better and the food was excellent. I didn't realize it was Lobster Fest time but that didn't matter to either of us. I decided to start with a shrimp & lobster cocktail. I have never had cold lobster before and I was blown away. The shrimp were cooked perfectly to boot. Yes I would have it again and highly recommend it. For entrees the wife chose the Seaport Lobster & Shrimp. She said it was excellent with lots of flavor. Everything was cooked perfectly. I opted for the Surf & Turf. This was the first time I have ordered a steak here. I will say the steak was cooked perfectly as ordered. The lobster tail was also cooked spot on. The steak was topped with langostino that accented the meat perfectly. It was one of the finest meals we have ever had at Red Lobster or anywhere else for that matter. Since we were both full we opted to take dessert home. We could enjoy better that way. If there was any negative it would be the price. But then again with cocktails, appetizer, meals and dessert we got what we paid for. No complaints there at all. Yes we will be going back and will be watching for Crab Fest. read more

I ordered the "Choose Two" meal and I chose the fried shrimp, which were quite good, and the seared sea scallops. The scallops had a $3.60 premium surcharge. What Ubereats delivered to me was four of the smallest sea scallops I've ever seen. And I'm 61. The cup they were in dwarfed the scallops. So, since the sea scallops were 50% of the $20 meal I figure the scallops cost me $13.60. Four tiny little sea scallops for $13.60! Beware. read more

OMG, this was a disaster!!! First off let me say that I don't eat often and this is one of the reasons. We were seated right away because it was a little after 3:00pm so the lunch special was over, our waitress was nice but obviously more friendly with the regulars. We ordered and she let us know we got salads with our meal, when I asked if their dressings had soy she said she didn't know but didn't offer to find out either so I asked if the oil and vinegar was olive oil and she said yes. The salad came and it had a huge glop of ranch dressing in it, so of coarse I sent it back. The second salad came and I asked for no croutons or cheese but my suspicion is that they took the tomatoes off the first salad and stuck them on the second because I found cheese on one of the tomatoes. I ordered steak, med rare, and grilled shrimp and when it came the steak was very rare, like raw, so my husband found a manager who then got the kitchen manager to come out to talk to us. She fixed the problem with a new properly cooked steak and offered free dessert and appetizers which we declined and she took my meal off the bill which was appropriate in my opinion. She also advised us that they do in fact have an allergen menu which would have been nice for the waitress to bring when I asked!! We were visiting the area as we do often and more than likely won't be back to this Red Lobster because I'm not into getting free meals due to the insufficient skills of the cook staff, I'll stick to the Texas Road House!!! read more

I know, it's a chain....But, a great one!! Maybe if I lived in a state that touched water, I would feel different, but I love Red Lobster. Had the lobster stuffed mushrooms to start, YUMMY!! Maybe its all the cheese and butter? Whatever, they are good! The three of us had the Cesar salad to start. Nothing special, but dinner, Great! I had the shrimp trio w/garlic, crab stuffed, and bacon wrapped shrimp. Delicious! One of my friends had the coconut shrimp. There were at least ten huge shrimp on the plate. For being a chain, this place isn't bad. Service is usually quick and friendly, and the food is tasty. My biggest complaint is about the portions and prices. I pay $25 for my dinner, I expect it to be filling as well as tasty. Of course, you can't expect to get a ton of seafood for a cheap price in Arizona, but I've felt a little let down here a few times. The lobster is typically good, as is the crab. I've had their scallops and in all honesty they were overcooked and rubbery. Otherwise, most of their food is decent fare. You don't have a lot of options for seafood in Prescott, but if you're in the mood, Red Lobster is probably the best. read more

So, it's Mom's birthday and she chooses Red Lobster for her birthday dinner. Not normally a fan of Red Lobster just because I think their food is average (just like most chains) and way overpriced (my opinion there has not changed) I will swallow my pride and bite my tongue (hard to do at the same time) and give mom her wish. They get four stars for mainly two reasons: The service was extremely friendly. We had two servers and they both were great. They wished my mom happy birthday a couple of times, brought her a free ice cream sundae and even gave us a discount because one of the people in our party worked for another restaurant in the Darden group. How cool is that? They at least know how to prepare their namesake. Lobster is easy to cook incorrectly, but those who had it in our group said it was cooked just right. As a matter of fact, all the seafood, whether grilled or fried, was cooked well. My chief complaint, and the reason I generally avoid Red Lobster, is the price. I don't consider myself too cheap, but my Emperor's Feast (death by fried food on a plate) was $21.99. There was fried flounder, fried calamari, fried shrimp and tempura vegetables (even the vegetables were fried) but nary a lobster in that plate of food, so the price seemed a little high. The one thing that was not fried was the best part of the plate, shrimp in a soy-ginger slaw. That was really good and caught me by surprise. We decided to grab dinner at the Red Lobster in Prescott after a 4 day camping excursion in the Prescott National Forest. Red Lobster is iconic, it's like Sizzler--so we had to go. We arrived at about 4:30 in the afternoon and were seated toward the back of the restaurant in a booth. The waitress was friendly, had knowledge of food pairings, and picked out a glass of wine for us. Our surrounding patrons complimented our dinner with a show (of sorts). An adorable older couple, must have been in their late seventies, protected their mostly empty salad plates with semi-aggressive zeal. The older gentleman stated, "I paid enough for this meal, I'm eating every last bite." The food was good, if you've been to Red Lobster you know what I mean. It fit right in with our first trip to Bucky's Casino (no, we are not seniors ourselves). Overall a great experience, the service manager even came out and asked how everything was. If you're in the Prescott area, and craving seafood that doesn't come wrapped in seaweed and rice...go for it. read more

I have been coming here, with my husband, since 1996 (after we got married and then I didn't come here again until I got out of the Army and moved to Prescott). So we have been coming here since 2004, off and on. We love it here. We just went 2 weeks ago and I had the shrimp jambalaya (I'm from the south originally) and it was the best I've had in years. The service is great and very prompt. Of course, I don't drink anymore, but they have a very nice, trendy little bar (which is great for ones who like to drink and take a date to for drinks). I went into red lobster while visiting Prescott on Monday and got takeout. We go to the bar to order and Jake the bartender did a great job! He got us everything we needed quickly and did a 10/10 job! The food was good. I asked him for some plasticware before me and my friend finished our beers and started to head out. The manager of the night, Christie I believe, was walking by in a red shirt and yelled at him for not putting plasticware in our bag (WHICH HE ALREADY DID *my mistake for not looking first before asking*). She humiliated him in front of everyone and was super rude to her employee who did a great job! So unprofessional and embarrassing for the company. I've worked at chili's, Olive Garden and other big restaurant corporations and that is not good behavior for your staff at all. Was very disappointed with my food today...it seems the quality of your lettuce in your salads has gone down. Mine was brown in some spots and wilty with no taste. The shrimp scampi had differet shrimp then I'm used too. Bigger and lacking taste as well. I do not care for those shrimp and that is my favorite dish there since forever. Although our server was nice, the service was lacking. As a server of over 10 years, I expect that my table be pre bussed, especially when items are set to the edge of the table. I went to red lobster last night and had the three shrimp (fried, garlic and alfredo). The thing that bothered me the most is the fried shrimp. It was clearly frozen and of very poor quality. I could get better quality fried shrimp in the frozen seafood isle of the grocery store. If you want to be a seafood restaurant then be a seafood restaurant. At least if you must buy frozen shrimp, then thaw them and batter and fry them yourself. They did not taste any better than Denny's. But we expect that from Denny's and do not have to pay a premium for it. Could have made it better myself. I want to go to restauranats that serve better than I can make. read more

Took my family to the Red Lobster in Prescott last night-- my son just had a hankerin' for seafood. Our meals were very good, but really just normal chain restaurant fair. The excellent part was the friendly and helpful staff, especially our server Ken P. Hrs a talented fellow who made our experience fin, enjoyable, and memorable. The guy has a comedic flair, and a performer's sense of timing. Really fun. The other staff were super helpful, made it more of a hometown feel than a chain restaurant.
