"It is what it is." If you like Red Lobster, then this location should not disappoint. In our dozen or so visits, the service has always been attentive, although pacing of food can be slow. The food has been consistent and prepared well. So far we have never experienced a screw-up. I would give 4 stars IF the food were a better value. Seafood or not, it's a bit pricey for what you get, which is chain food. The only time I feel we get a good value is during the "Endless Shrimp" promo. I do enjoy getting to sample all the different kinds, and end up with a hearty, filling seafood meal. It's also fun to watch my boys put some serious hurt onto that meal's food costs. read more

Went into an empty restaurant 3pm Monday in Scottsdale. They seated the next 3 some of customers directly next to our group of 3! Safe guards?? Not too good a start but it got worse. The cod basket was a heavily battered smallish piece of fish chunk that was very greasy placed upon the top of warm fries. It's been years since I forgotten the mediocre meal I last had.....and this will be the last time I will venture at any Red Lobster....The service was so-so and the food itself was worse! Many dishes offered were 'deep fried' and not a very fresh choice for the salads. Hardly a Ceasar salad.....with bland dressing and a deep-fried slab of chicken just thrown on top...eecch! Outstanding service by Denise and Ken..prompt didnt forget a thing! The fish and chips were lightly battered and crispy..not fishy. The tartar sauce was excellent and I am not a fan of fish. We always get the cocnut shrimp and it is consistantly good, I love the pina colada sauce to dip the shrimp into..it is sweet and creamy with real pineapple. The special till Dec 23 is 1/2 lb of crab with any entree for only 3.00! It was more than 3 of us could eat..dont forget the cheese biscuts..hot out of the oven. Food was meh, clam chowder pretty tasteless, the garden salad had 2 slices of old cucumber, 2 tasteless slices of tomato and 1, yes a single union ring, no not a slice of union, one ring. The tilapia was ok but only lukewarm. The service was awful, we had to wait and wait for refills, we were served by a team of waiters (2) and the only one that would show up and give us refills was the busgirl that brought the food out. Don't know what happened to our Finnish server but he must have had more important things to do. It ended with a bang where we had to wait another 20 minutes for desert to be brought out, only to receive them in doggy bags while we explicitly asked for desert to be served at the table. - oh you wanted it here, well haha you wouldnt have had to wait that long if i'd had known that-. We're staying in a hotel and did not have utensils or anything. Its just the best to pour molten ice cream dripping over what must be the tiniest piece of brownie I've ever seen. I like RL's food, I really do, and I get excited when it's Endless Shrimp or Lobster Fest time! But I tell you, they really need to hire more staff at this location. We were told the wait would be 20 minutes, which turned into 45 minutes, which turned into 55 minutes because they couldn't find someone to wipe down the table from the last party. Then it took another hour to get our food. We were a larger party, granted, but only 6 of us. Our waiter was working her tail off trying to keep up with all the tables she obviously had, and she was friendly throughout. But they need help! Flys everywhere and my husband got bit by a mosquito while we were dining. I get that we are in AZ so seafood is sketchy, but if you can't even semi pull it off, shut the doors. Red Lobster in Prescott makes a genuine effort to serve good food but it can't escape its corporate pedigree. There are some good dishes on the menu but don't hesitate to ask for vegetables that are lightly cooked or less oil on your food. The food can tend to be overly cooked, seasoned and oiled in the manner that corporate food chains think diners want their food. Not impressed at all. Ordered chicken and shrimp from the lunch menu. The portion of chicken was so small, my brother jokingly said, "Maybe it is quail?" Of course, the fried shrimp were perfect, but I want my fish to be perfect too, at Red Lobster. My husband was disappointed that they took the pub style fish and chips off of their menu. When I visit Red Lobster, I am reminded every time why I love this place. When I enter the front door, I am instantly greeted by the friendly hostess. She is standing behind a wooden desk that has creative designs on it and Red Lobster gift cards on top. The area is clean, and I can hear the bubbles coming up from the live lobster tank. There is low music playing and I can smell the butter and garlic from the biscuits baking and the food already served to customers, its making my mouth water. As we walk down the window filled hallway you can hear the sounds of forks clanking and people talking. It is a dimly lit hall, but I can see the amazing ocean and boat pictures hanging between the windows that leaves you feeling relaxed. I love the ocean and light houses, so I feel like it's something I could just watch and enjoy. As the hostess seats us at our booth I notice it is clean wood table with incredible details in it and a clean yet cold booth seat. It has the drink menu on it along with grind your own salt and pepper shakers, and cloth napkins wrapped around your silverware. This is an environment and atmosphere everyone should experience in their life, not only for the flavorful food, clean, relaxing environment, and high-quality service but for the memories you make there. Once we are seated it is never a long wait for the server to come to our table. The server is always so friendly and knowledgeable when telling you the specials. I always order the sweet flavorful strawberry Pina colada, however if you're not an alcohol drinker they have the most amazing strawberry lemonade. We are instantly brought warm, buttery garlic biscuits wrapped in a cloth and they just melt in your mouth. Plus, they keep bringing them! There are so many amazing dishes on this menu from seafood to steak. The prices are a little high, but you won't mind once you have seen, smelt, and tasted the food that comes to you. Plus, the dishes are large, and you will walk out full. I tend to overdo it when I go but there, it's just such good food that I can't help it. From the appetizer menu I always get the white wine and roasted garlic mussels. This dish has just the right amount of roasted garlic with bite size chunks of tomatoes and onion in a rich buttery sauce with mussels in the shells laying in it. It comes with a side of grilled artisan bread sticks that are perfect for dipping in the sauce after the mussels are gone. I also get the Langostino lobster artichoke seafood dip. It is so creamy and just the perfect flavor of three cheeses melted with lobster and crab chunks in it mixed with soft artichokes and garlicky spinach. It comes in the middle of a large plateful of crispy, lightly salted colorful tortilla chips and Pico de Gallo. I have also ordered the seafood stuffed mushrooms before, which are also good. They come out piping hot with bubbling Monterey jack cheese and six mini portabella mushrooms stuffed with lobster and crab and melted cheese. They literally just melt in your mouth. They smell so good too, because they're fresh out of the oven with a strong garlic and butter smell. For my main dish I order the amazing and delicious Ultimate Feast. This dish is to die for! The first to come out in this selection is the salad. It is a perfect size with nice red ripe tomatoes, thinly sliced purple onions, just a small amount of shredded cheese and crunchy garlic croutons. The salad dressing is usually just the right amount so, it's not over powering. The main dish comes out on a large oversize plate that is still warm. It has a beautiful red lobster tail split down the middle that was boiled to just the right tenderness. It also has a small dish on the plate with 10 little shrimps in it cooked in garlic butter sauce with a hint of wine. Along with this is a side of steamed Alaskan king crab legs. They are filled with juicy tender crab meat that is cooked just perfect so that if you crack the shell just right you can pull the whole leg meat out at once. Alongside of your meal is a small plate that has a little silver bowl of warm butter with a hint of salt and perfect for dipping your crab. The plate also includes crunchy breaded shrimp and a side of your choice. I tend to switch up my sides, which is the only thing I change. I go from a perfectly baked potato with the insides soft and warm to the outside skin being crisp and salty to creamy buttery, hint of cream cheese mashed potatoes with little chunks of tender lobster meat in them. Their broccoli and asparagus are also perfectly cooked with the most mouthwatering seasonings. But this is just my favorite! They have a great kids menu with macaroni and cheese, chicken fingers, popcorn shrimp and even a petite lobster tail. For the adult they offer a plate called tuna poke. This plate is a sushi grade ahi tuna that is marinade in a soy sesame sauce and served with thinly sliced green onions and hot crisp tortilla chips. Another plate is the Admiral's Feast read more

Yes I gave it 5 stars!. This is not the East Coast where the seafood is fantastic, so my scale is tailored to Arizona. Having said that, the twin lobster tails were delicious. My wife had the shrimp scampi and it was also delicious. And of course the biscuits were, as always addictive. Finally had to ask the waitress not to bring us more, she kept them coming till we were stuffed. Beer selection was not extensive, but they did have several decent choices. Would have loved to try one of the desserts, they looked great, but we had eaten too many biscuits. We'll be going back and next time I'll save room for desert. read more
