The fish was good, very good. The chips on the other hand was a different story. You get either potato chips or basic French fries. The staff was friendly and had a good sense of humor. Unfortunately the parking area is a little ruff and the city sidewalk steep and not level with the parking lot so it damaged my bike pulling out. Even though I have been to Chino Valley several times over the years I visited Danny's a couple of weeks ago for dinner. It's easy to find being directly on Hwy 89 and has plenty of parking on a gravel lot. I came hear on a Wednesday night around 7 pm and was the only customer. Inside it has a casual low rent bar look and feel to it with mainly picnic tables for sitting and dining. There is also a covered outdoor patio. It is a table service restaurant and I ordered the 2 cod and 3 shrimp meal with fries for $19.75. The food arrived less than 15 minutes later and included a small cole slaw. Taste wise everything was ok but no more. Fried fish and fried shrimp which is fairly basic. The fries were uninspiring but that didn't surprise me. With an iced tea, tax and tip my bill was $30. For Chino Valley this was an expensive meal and the quality average. I think this is the only "seafood" restaurant in town so I guess they have that market cornered in CV. I give a 3 score because the food was ok but too expensive in my opinion so I doubt I will return on a future visit to the area. read more

Drove by this eatery a few times I wanted to try their food. Finally decided to stop in on a Friday. We entered the casual restaurant and it had an ocean theme that was charming. Staff were super friendly and gave us time to look at the menu, asked us if we had any questions and let us know they have all you can eat fish & chips (battered cod) for $16 on Friday. All you can eat!! My husband ordered the all you can eat & I ordered the 2 piece and it was pretty tasty, fish was moist and not oily. Having lived in Alaska and the Pacific Northwest for 70 years, I admit that I'm particular about seafood, and I don't expect seafood in Arizona to match those locations, but DannyB's clam chowder was so foul tasting I couldn't eat more than one bite. Fantastic fish and chips! They hand bread, batter and grill to order. I loved my flavorful pankp breaded cod. It was made with love. It came with fries and yummy hand rolled hush puppies. I want more hush puppies. Eat you fries with malted vinegar. They have all you can eat shrimp on Saturday nights for $20. My clam chowder with unique. It had a lot of herbs and almost tasted like a Polish pickle soup. I haven't quite decided if I liken or not. read more

This cute little stop on the side of hwy 89 in Chino Valley houses some of the most flavorful fish & chips. Don't be fooled by its quaint and easy going exterior. Inside is a beach themed cozy little beach hut with friendly staff and amazing deals on excellent seafood. Not something I was expecting to see in Chino Valley but I was delightfully surprised. I chose the Basa basket which had delicious fries, two hush puppies, very fresh coleslaw and two excellent pieces of basa. The only reason for not 5 stars was that my fish could have been a tad crispier but definitely not a deal breaker because the beer batter was delicious. They have lots of choices on the menu & can do your fish either breaded or grilled, which I found pleasantly suprising. I stopped at Danny B's on my way home today 6/3/26 to supplement. my dinner with some delicious fish. I ordered two filet. of beer battered Cod. The two young women working supplied me with my order in. a takeout container with a fancy red checkered paper under the fish. I prepared my sides and went to take out the fish and take the first bite. I dipped it in the tartar sauce, put it in my mouth, Then I noticed red in the tartar sauce. The red dye from the paper covered the backside of the fish. I took the fish back the restaurant to get my money backs. The young women offered to cook more fish for me but by now I had finished dinner. Then told me it was my fault for leaving on the paper too long. I asked to talk to the manager and was told I must come back tomorrow at noon. I will not be back and I would suggest that this business should change the paper under the fish. Danny B's is a cute little restaurant inside. You go up to the counter and order them they bring it to you. I have been here three times now. The first time I ordered fish and chips. It was good but the breading kept falling off the fish making it super messy to eat. I also ordered a cup of clam chowder. This is not typical clam chowder. It was oily looking and not very creamy like traditional clam chowder. I did not care for it. The total for that just myself was $30.00. The second time I had it a friend brought me back some breaded shrimp tacos and they were amazing!!! I highly recommend those. She went on taco Tuesday so the tacos were cheaper. Then lastly I ordered alligator bites to pick up and take home to enjoy with my husband. Those were very good and those were about $18.00. Heard about this place from a firefighter friend of ours and it did not disappoint! Our waitress Trish was awesome. Hubby insisted on ordering the frog legs to start (although it was an entree) I sampled it and they were excellent! Hubby then had the lobster Mac & Cheese and I had the shrimp & lobster quesadilla - both were great! Trish did not have to twist our arms when it came to ordering desert, either. Great food and friendly staff! My favorite are the beer battered basa fish tacos. The clam chowder is great too.

We have been a few times in the last month. The service is hit or miss. The younger gals seem to be the nicest and most helpful. Ya'all could use to take some time for a good cleaning. The walls are filthy, and it's the same no matter what table you sit. The light fixtures are covered in dust and spider webs. The bathroom, gross. It's lack of maintenance. If that's what the dining area looks like, it makes me cringe to think of what the kitchen looks like. Hard pass for us. read more

A few days ago, we got fish and chips. The fish was barely cooked, and I couldn't really eat it. It was not only raw, but a waste of money for 4 meals. A family member thought he would try it again after several years, which left a bad taste in his mouth; terrible food. They barely give you any fries, and 2 tiny balls of hush puppies. I would never recommend this place as they are trying to poison people with raw food. It's really not that hard to cook it another 5 minutes. The fish lacks much flavor and the breading was falling off (not cooked) and not crispy whatsoever. Some of the reviews have to be fake, as the food is at best a 4 out of 10. We were there on 10/3/25 @ 7;05 pm. We were seated right away, 1/2 of tables were taken. We order our sodas right away. When they were delivered we had looked at the menu and started with our order. We were going to try the all-you-can-eat cod for $16 . However, we were informed that it was not available as they were almost out of the auce cod but could order baskets with 2 or 3 pcs. So we did that but found it really annoying that the auce was no longer available but individually could, at 7 pm on a Friday eve. It wasn't 9 pm and close to closing but 7 pm normal dinner crush time. My wife got the 2pc fish, I ordered the shrimp & chips. The shrimp was very good, cole slaw was good and the hush puppies were good. However, my wife's fish was a little off. The first piece of cod was w cooked well as it was a nice white, firm and breading did not fall off. The second one was under cooked. It was not white but a light translucent color, soft and very greasy. The breading was a very light brown and was falling off. We showed the difference to the server and they made it right and sent out a whole new order. It was better. One final mention was the included hush puppies were not delivered, and we had to ask for them. Not a big deal, just a mention. I worked at a fish n chips place a long time ago and have lived in upper Midwest where Friday night fish frys are a big thing. I feel that they did not allow fish to surface dry prior to dipping into batter. Also feel they could cook about 1 minute longer for the size of each piece we were served. We will definitely go back to try again in the hope that it was an off night. But running out of fish at a fish house at 7 pm is not a good thing. I'm not going to lie, the outside of Danny B's seems a little sketchy. However, on the inside it is nicely decorated to match its name. The lobster nachos were really good, I just wish it had more lobster as I kept fishing for more but couldn't find many. The flavor was there and so was the smell! Sad to update a 4-5 star review but need to. They simplified the menu no longer have Mahi soft shell crab etc etc. the prices are up and the chefs deep fry fish in not so hot oil. Bad bad bad oily deep fried cod. Ok it's cod that's good. But no absolutely no COVID procedures. No gloves or masks on the wait staff or cooks. So nope I or our group will not return. Waited on a to go order at the register while being ignored by staff that were focused on TV and the bar. Ordered lobster mac n cheese.. had to dig to find the lobster, macaroni was way over cooked (swollen and mushy). Had a side order of coconut shrimp and the breading was soggy like itd been sitting out and not drained. . I did mention it to the worker and was told that's how its made (the lobster mac n cheese)..no response to the shrimp. Total meal order over $20 and had to toss it This was my second experience with this establishment and each time was not pleasant Would not recommend read more
