You know what we went to red lobster a few weeks back with my family and I'm not a seafood guy so I can't really say hey this is for me so is the unbiased judgment I'm gonna go ahead and say that the establishment is nice on the inside I don't like seafood so I got like some chicken tenders with your pretty good macaroni and cheese were good my wife got seafood and she really enjoyed it where it's at as he's cheddar biscuits right here that's a good picture of those things are phenomenal there a five out of five so overall I'm gonna give a place of four I can see why people would enjoy this it's just not for me but the cheddar biscuits are phenomenal read more

It's been a long time since I have been here I have found Louisville a limited place to seek seafood if you want to do it on a rational budget there is no such thing as good cheap seafood but I don't think I should have to spend half a hundred dollars for a nice meal. Red lobster has given me a nice lunch at a price that wasn't too painful. The admirals feast gives you a variety of choices scallops, clams,fish, and shrimp . Service keep us well hydrated and the famous biscuits at our finger tips. I can't think of a reason to not return so I will be back soon. read more

The food tasted really good, it was well seasoned but somehow cold. Everyone at the table said the same. I got the snow crab and it was amazing in flavor but some part were warm and others where genuinely ice cold. The server was very friendly and amazing, I believe his name was ceasar. OH.MY.GOD!!!! What a wonderful experience! I came with my dad on a Saturday at 11:30am and we were immediately seated. We got a nice booth by the window which was what we requested. To begin with I had a virgin piña colada and it was the best one I have ever had! It was so good! I decided to get the White Wine and Roasted Garlic Mussels and the Seaside Sampler which included Seafood-Stuffed Mushrooms, Parrot Isle Jumbo Coconut Shrimp and Signature Shrimp Cocktail. My dad had the Live Maine Lobster with a baked potato and green beans. Every single thing we got was delicious but the mussels, lobster and coconut shrimp were by far the best! WOW! Now for dessert, I usually always go for whatever has chocolate. BUT, it is a sin to come here and not get the Key Lime Pie. It is the most amazing dessert I can recommend, and I don't even like lime! Last but not least, service was top-notch. Andre was very attentive and cordial! I have no complaints. The service was absolutely amazing! Tiffany really took care of us and made sure we had all the shrimp our lil hearts desired. We all had the lobster pizza as our appetizer and for the main course we tried every shrimp option besides the retched coconut shrimp! For our side french fries and orzo rice. The orzo rice was a skimpy serving but that was quickly fixed. I took away a star because the female manager running around had a nasty attitude. We were near the kitchen and could hear her yelling at the servers about their tables not being clean fast enough for her and see her cone out flustered and upset. No one wants to hear or see that! My food friends give me grief about liking Red Lobster.. But I really do. It is very good for what it is.. Yes , it is a chain restaurant, but they do a good job of being a family friendly, well priced seafood place.. Much better than any fast-food seafood restaurant... I can now cross another thing off of my bucket list: I have now been to a Red Lobster. Why have I never been here before? I don't know. It's never really been desirable to me, and if I didn't have a gift card, who knows if I ever would have came here. I honestly didn't even expect to be giving this place three stars, but this is one of the nicer of common chain restaurants that I have experienced. This place gets jam packed on the weekends...a little more than what I was expecting. But I do like how they take down your phone number and text you when your table is ready. Red Lobster is moderate pricing, and has a laaarrge menu. Almost a little overwhelming. They also have a large drink menu to go with it. I tried the Red Berry Daiquiri (Or something like that) and it was delicious! I finally got to try the famous cheddar biscuits, and now I can see why people make such a big deal out of them. Their entrees seem to have quite a lot of food included, and since I was not that hungry it was hard to find a smaller plate. I did end up going with the Dragon Shrimp and it was great! I never knew shrimp and soy sauce could go so well together... I was also very impressed with the service. We had a very friendly waitress who had a trainee with her, and both of them were always around to get us what we needed. Our New Year's Eve celebration dinner with a friend was at Red Lobster. I know, it's not our usual type of restaurant. We prefer more local places. But given my constraints of needing meat and veggies only due to my high blood sugar levels and our friend's desire for her traditional NYE shrimp cocktail this was an obvious choice. Plus, who honestly doesn't love their cheddar biscuits? Unfortunately, I could only allow myself one bite. My boyfriend and I both had ribeyes and split a side of grilled shrimp. His ribeye was great, mine was incredibly tough. This of course leads to two disparate experiences. He had mashed potatoes and asparagus which were good. I had broccoli (ok) and a good salad. Our friend had a lobster tail and Caesar salad. (No shrimp cocktail after all ) and she seemed to enjoy both. The cocktails were a splurge for me (mine was fruit juice based which is a no no but worth it). He had a Bloody Mary which he approved of and she had wine. The highlight of the evening was our waitress. She provided impeccable service and had a great personality. She alone is why I'm giving 4 stars instead of 3. Tough steak never deserves 4 stars. In fact, I just about give up on finding good, reasonably priced steak. If anyone has any suggestions, I'd truly appreciate it. read more

CHEDDAR BAY BISCUITS They do a good job and since this is a chain it does very well with their food selections. The service doesn't blow my socks off but it isn't bad. I have friends who food allergies so I'm always concerned coming here because a lot of the food is made offsite. They do have frequent specials for different types of seafood which is wonderful. I am a huge fan of crab and lobster so if I can stuff my face with either at a reasonable price AND find someone to go with me, I am all for it. read more

Every so often I convince myself that this place may have something decent at a fair price with above average chain restaurant service. Really, it's just overpriced not flavorful & filling 'seafood' and sides typically laden with too much salt. Tonight a gal pal & I decided to go get the advertised $10 fried cod platter vs hitting up a local church fish fry. We asked our waitress if they still had the 'Fridays before 6 pm' fried cod deal advertised and she said yes. We ordered that and our sides. The fish pieces were ridiculously tiny (neither of us were hangry so it was ok but not really even the size of Frisch's fish!). Baked potato was standard, nothing noteworthy. My friend had asked if other sides could be exchanged vs the French fries. Our waitress said 'sure, we have a great new cauliflower au gratin'... so my friend ordered that (wasn't told there'd be an upcharge for trading out for fries).Next time we'll drive down the opposite end of Breckenridge & eat at Sharky's instead! Service ended upon our food being delivered. No drink refills despite us being there a good hour or longer. We were unpleasantly surprised to get our bills and each see the fish platter at $14 (not $10 as we'd asked about the advertised special up front). My friend was also surprised to see a $3-4 charge for the side dish swap of trading the 'great new cauliflower dish' the waitress recommended. Apparently, the cauliflower au gratin is in a category of sides that have a $3-4 up charge. Diner beware. Upcharge aside, the cauliflower au gratin was a generous portion & we both liked it. It just seemed shady for the waitress to recommend an upcharge item (& fail to mention the upcharge category)when we were asking which sides could be swapped out for fries. In the end, we asked the waitress to take care of the fish platter price. She said after she had told us it was $10 she found out that the $10 fish platter was 'lunch price'. Email ads from Red Lobster & their own online menu said it was $10 until 6 p.m on Friday's. Sooo... who knows?!‍ We did get our bills to reflect the $10 platter price after quite a wait time. read more

It's Red Lobster and it gives you a solid seafood fix. I'm from New England, and seafood is life there and since I'm in KY this does the trick. I got The King Crab legs($35), worth it. You get more than enough to eat in one sitting and then some. The place was crazy busy, so recommend doing the "Join the waiting list" which you can do online ahead of time. Takes me about 20 minutes to get there like everything else in Louisville and only had to wait about 5 minutes once I got there. Our waitress was AWESOME. Daniele, was on top of it. The crab legs were good, even though some of the legs didn't have much in them. The restaurant was clean but the lighting seemed a little dark.. We sat in a corner window booth, so that helped. Absolutely love red lobster, this is probably one of the most interesting visits to red lobster in a long time. As always food was great, I'm on a "diet" so I didn't over indulge on their buttery bread they load you up with so I wasn't at all full or nearing when my food arrived which is good. I ordered a shrimp cocktail as the app, and it was well, a shrimp cocktail. Nothing too special there, nothing out of the ordinary. The admirals feast was as always filling and delicious. It's usually what I get if I don't want to get my hands dirty with delicious crab legs. Our waitress was incredible, I never remember their names but she was very nice and attentive. Didn't let me go thirsty which is a plus and always kept a smile in her face. I did witness another waitress back talk a set of customers which brings me to what was interesting. Customers had asked her to bring them something (can't remember what) and she turned around and said with a very sassy tone "that's what I'm doing." I understand people have bad days and such but no reason to talk to customers like that especially if they aren't being rude. Overall great experience again, will be visiting this red lobster a lot more often since it's closer to me now than the outer loop one. I live in Louisville and have visited this location more than once in the past. Not impressed with the food, the staff, and the bartender couldn't even mix an acceptable Rum & Coke. Seriously? I was in Bowling Green KY 2x (October 22 and again in May 23). During both visits I ate at the Red Lobster there. Both times the experience was outstanding. Fresh, hot seafood , healthy portions, waitstaff was attentive. You shouldn't have to take a field trip to get good seafood from a Red Lobster. read more

After years of not visiting, we came for a family lunch on Saturday. The restaurant had only a few guests and we were seated right away. I noticed quickly "the feel" of the place hadn't changed. A lone, murky tank at the front (which was a terrible conversation with my 6 yr old when he asked "are they going to die?!"), very dark wood, almost no light other than the sun coming through the windows and an older crowd. The restaurant feels too formal for what's really going on - people walking in wearing jeans and shorts while their servers are dressed in black uniforms. Our servers were the true highlight of the meal. They were energetic, friendly and helpful answering questions. Thankfully they came to check on us often because I would've wondered if we'd been deserted. It was so quiet ... My kids ordered the chicken tender & mac n cheese meals. They got one side and a drink. No complaints about the tenders but it's obvious the mac n cheese is half a box of Kraft - that's quite the profit margin they're making! I ordered the Fish & chips with a side salad. The side salad was an additional $3 and it was disappointing - basically a bit of lettuce & 4 cherry tomatoes tossed in a small bowl. My fish was thin and overcooked, sat next to french fries that also seemed browned and unexciting. The cheddar bay biscuits are still top notch and thankfully, still included with the meal. However, now that you can buy the mix in a grocery store, there's little reason to revisit Red Lobster. For a place that specializes in seafood, my fish & chips should've been stellar. read more

The restaurant looked like a Red Lobster and seemed okay. The Waitress was pleasant and seemed to want to help. BUT there were dead and dying lobsters in the tank where you enter the restaurant. I told the hostesses when I entered, and I told them again when I left - both times they didn't care. I wonder if they will cook and serve the dead lobsters. I had shrimp. For me, I chose the wrong things because everything was overly salty and there must have been a large amount of MSG in the batter - I had a bad reaction starting in the restaurant after eating. That was my fault - I should have realized as I assume they come in battered, etc. I also think there might have been a lot of salt and MSG in the house salad dressing. We were in the restaurant for 2 and a half hours, not because we had appetizers, dessert and an enjoyable dining experience, but just waiting for water and entrees. We waited 15 minutes for water and then finally got to place our order. We asked at the front desk if our waitress had forgotten to give our order to the kitchen when our food FINALLY showed up. We would have settled for an apology and/or a discount but we got neither. The food was overpriced and I even left the restaurant still feeling hungry. We ate dinner at Red Lobster last night. We sat at the bar and enjoyed very good service and good tasting food. We were disappointed in the size of the cheddar bay biscuits and they don't seem to taste as good as years ago. My shrimp dinner tasted good but the shrimp were really small. A nice cold Yuengling made up for the other disappointments. When looking for seafood going forward we will most likely go to Kingfish instead. read more
