I came for a late lunch! There was a 4 course special for $16.99. Starter, salad, entree and dessert. Of course the Cheddar Biscuits. It was too much food for me but a great deal. The salmon was flaky and moist. Service was quick and pleasant. Nice afternoon meal. read more

I never really go to Red Lobster, but our dinner group decided to go for lobster fest! It didn't take us too long to be seated and our waitress Daniel was very kind, funny and took our drink orders right away. She also had a partner since we were a larger table who was kind as well. We started out with some salads, mushrooms and shrimp cocktails! We received our biscuits a bit late, but they were quite fresh and they brought plenty of them over! I ordered the crab Linguini Alfredo with a side of asparagus. Even though it's a seafood place I was very nervous that the crab wouldn't be fresh, but boy was I wrong. This was probably one of the best pasta dishes Ive gotten in a while! I wish I would have ordered the full portion instead of the half so I could have taken leftovers. While I did only order the half it was still a good portion. When the asparagus came out I was a bit worried due to it looking like shoestring asparagus, but it was seasoned perfectly and not mushy at all. I really wanted it to like I remembered. Louisville is saturated with really great options for food and Red Lobster has always been a good option. Unfortunately, this restaurant has gradually gotten worse. The last time I went was while in another state and thought it was just bad because maybe leadership was different there. My daughter has been bugging me for coconut shrimp for a week. She was excited about the biscuits and the shrimp. We were welcomed by a great hostess and server. The server brought the biscuits and they tasted like they had been warmed in the microwave a few times. I ordered the cod and shrimp. The shrimp was all breading and extremely salty. It tasted like frozen food warmed up. I ate one shrimp and one small piece of fish. My daughter looked at me and said Mom I really appreciate you taking me out but this is bad. She was relieved when I agreed with her. The server was extremely concerned when we told her no boxes were needed. I gave her a generous tip because of her attention to our table. He said Campbell's made better soup. We paid for a dozen Cheddar biscuits and received just half. The salmon I ordered was ok. Also small for the price. Has we order or food we order fish and chips and coleslaw. The waitress proceeded to tell us that they were out of coleslaw, and that they would not substitute the coleslaw which is on the tray witch goes with fish and chip. Cheapskate has they are we where like really no substitute the waitress said would you like to talk to the manager and we said yes.. well the waitress went a head and ordered our food with out us talking to the manager and we sat there waiting for the manager to come talk to us but never came to us to talk to us.. so we decided to leave because without coleslaw there's no fish and chips and in the meantime, we have something in there and had to go back and the waitress Siddharth was raining. I say that to us I'm very unsatisfied with this all the money that they charge is outrageous and you're only going to get fish and chips and that's it. No coleslaw. Updated review 09/16. Dinner here with friends Saturday evening about 35 minute wait. I ordered the Admirals Feast with flounder and shrimp and clam strips and bay scallops. The first two I listed were nicely cooked and tasty. The latter two were tiny pieces so that really I felt I was eating mainly the fried coating. This combination platter came with salad and a side. My Caesar salad was totally delicious! My side was Brussel sprouts. Not so good. Roasted? Tough and bitter IMO. The complimentary bread was cheddar biscuits. Also delicious. Very good service- no complaints there. So...my meal was 2.5 stars but my dining partners said their meals were a solid 4 stars. There ya go. Review remains 4 stars. read more

As a fresh seafood or crab fan, I had a hard time finding something on the menu that wasn't loaded with shrimp. I would say if you are a die hard Red Lobster fan, this is a good location. Fridays lunch was surprisingly delightful! Not a huge fan of chain restaurants. Red lobster on Breckinridge Lane certainly could change ones mind on that!! The food was superb! The service was great! They have a very nice selection of lunch entrees for $7.99!!! Yes $7.99! My daughter and I stopped in for a quick seafood lunch. We ordered the mussels as an appetizer, very generous portion of really good quality mussels in wine butter and garlic with toasted bread for sopping up the sauce! We both ordered the $7.99 shrimp tacos!! Three big tacos loaded with grilled shrimp and veggies. A spicy pico and jalapeño sauce. You also had your choice of a side. I was totally shocked that Red Lobster had a C grade proudly presented on the front door. Mind blown Secondly it smelled weird I can't pinpoint exactly the smell but it smelled bad. We continued to stay bc we were there it was late and we were hungry. Lastly the food quality was terrible. Idk if it was bc we was there so late which is not an excuse or what. Have not eaten a tax Red Lobster in years. Got a couple of gift cards so the wife and I went to dinner there. Restaurant was clean and nice inside. Service was good. Food not so much! The cheese biscuits were good, everything else was super salty and tasteless except for the salt. Our calamari and vegetables were about 75% batter and did I mention salty. We eat at Red Lobster about once every five years and I can't say too much has changed over the past decade. They still have tasty biscuits and a great Caesar salad. I had one of the best dining experiences ever at this location which was super refreshing because the Outer Loop location disappointed entirely. The best way to sum things up is to compare which is good for potential local guest. I would like to point out that The Endless Shrimp was ordered by 2 or more people during both visits. THE WAITRESS: Outer Loop: No idea what her name is. She brought random orders of shrimp that no one ordered and refused to bring but 1 order per person at a time. No option was given regarding sides or salad. She said you got 1 of each. No options were offered regarding shrimp that weren't printed on the menu. Only 1 serving of biscuits were brought to the table despite multiple request for more. Drinks went unfilled and in 1 case a persons drink didn't show up until the food was served. Breckenridge Lane: The waitresses name was SUMMER. ASK FOR HER! She was amazingly friendly and on top of everything. Drinks never got low. Shrimp arrived like magic and we were offered Coconut Bite shrimp as well. She delivered 3 baskets of biscuits. She explained we didn't have to have a salad, 2 sides was available. She did everything and anything a server could do to make you happy as a guest. I don't mind saying, and this is rare, her tip was $20 on a $58 bill. The Food: Outer Loop: The food wasn't up to par. How can the shrimp be cold when it was supposed to be made to order? The pasta in the shrimp dish was swimming in butter? Why? Breckenridge: The food was Hot and Fresh tasting every serving through and through. The shrimp pasta dish was CHEESY as it should be. What good is it to have a wait list on your website if your just going to make customers wait another 20 minutes after they arrive?!?

This is the worst Red Lobster in our region. I've been to Clarksville, Elizabethtown, and they both have it beat hands down. I arrived at 5:30 and asked for a table. The hostess said it would be 10-15 minutes. I sat at the bar, and had a drink while I waited. I had to ask for someone to get a bartender as I was one of many people wanting to order drinks. He finally came, and I looked at the menu. While I sat, I heard grumbling at the bar because no one waited on them, and grumbling at the hostess stand because people who had been told 10 minutes were there 45 minutes later. I then asked for the Manager and in low voice told her that people at the bar were mad, and that elderly people had been waiting over an hour, while there were clean and EMPTY tables all over the place! She proceeded to blame it on corporate, "shutting down the kitchen". When I asked what that meant she said they lost all their orders. "You are blaming this on CORPORATE?!" I told her it had nothing to do with anything other than poor management. Oh, and several potentials customers ended up just walking out. I used to,love this restaurant. But they have raised their prices for mediocre seafood, and the service is non-existent. Louisville deserves better. read more

Can I give lower than a 1, been isolating for 2 1/2 months without seeing our kids or grandchild. Wanted to treat my wife to a place she finds special. Biiiig mistake. Called 2 days ahead to make sure take out was no problem. Ordered online as recommended on Mother's Day for about an hour later. Arrived at the St Matthews restaurant 10 minutes early, was going to approach the team member as recommended to let them know I was there. No team member could be found so I called and after 15 minutes on hold their system told me nobody was available and hung up on me. Finally crowded through the 20 - 30 other angry people and spoke with a lady at the door that informed me they were running one to two hours late on all orders. I received no notice of that even though I left phone # and email. They ruined my special treat for my wonderful wife and mother of our children. One of the best Red Lobsters around. The food is the same at all locations, the biscuits are worth a trip to even a bad location. The decor still feels fresh and is well maintained. The health score card has an A rating, but take a closer look and you will see they scored a hard to get 100. What really separates this location from others is the service. Everyone working here makes the guest experience pleasant. I have dined at this location several times now and they are consistent on their great service. read more

Came in at 8pm Sunday night. Plenty of staff, but apparently there isn't a buser to grab the dirty plates after service? How about the hour wait for an entree to arrive with over 3/4th of the floors tables open? One waitress has moved a filled tray 5 times without taking it back to the kitchen, all the while herself heading that way. Another was walking through the dining room loudly talking on his phone. Our waiter spent 20 minutes talking to another table while we were waiting on our appetizer to arrive. Terrible. read more
