This was one of the best experiences I had at a Red Lobster. This is one of my mom's favorite places to eat so I treated her for lunch while she was in town. It's been a long while since I've stepped foot inside a Red Lobster, and I was excited to be back! Our visit brought back fond memories of many holiday and birthday celebrations spent in a Red Lobster growing up. We came here on a Sunday shortly after they opened for lunch, and was seated with menus right away. Our awesome server, Kathy, greeted us and took our drink orders a few minutes after. After quenching my thirst with their peach iced tea (really good btw!), we placed our order. We got fried shrimp platter with fries from the lunch menu, with an upgraded side of lobster bisque for my hubby. He devoured the shrimp and most of the lobster bisque, so I take it he liked them. I got the lobster rolls with a side of Caesar salad. I wanted the lobster rolls without the shrimp, but apparently they're pre-made with shrimp already mixed in with mayo. However, our server got creative and asked the chef to make me a warm one with just lobster and butter only, and voila! My lobster roll dreams came true! The lobster rolls were generously sized and so delish, they pretty much melted in my mouth. We came for the cheddar biscuits, but left with so much more! I was feeling nostalgic after the movie at Amc Phipps and decided to come here. Growing up every birthday was spent at Red Lobsters. I thought it would be uncomplicated, reasonably priced, slightly above average dinner. I had my expectations grounded in reality, as to not be too disappointed or overly critical. This is Red Lobsters folks not Truluck's. This was at about 2 pm on Sunday, not as crowded as I thought it would be. The front desk girl, "Griselda" didn't greet us or really speak. She just handed us the little device that tells you when your booth is ready. I thought she was rude, but o well. After about 15 mins, the table was ready. "Tyra" was our server. She was great from beginning to end. The cheddar biscuits were just as I remembered, cheesy and hot. I had to stop myself at two. The Caesar salad had way too much salt in the dressing. Nice presentation, but I was done after a few bites. We didn't order drinks, but they have many new ones and lots of new appetizers. I can't remember what he ordered, but he substituted the lobster for extra grilled shrimp and scallops. He seemed to enjoy his meal. But, he never complains. I sampled it, it was too greasy and had too much of charred flavor. I ordered the Walt's favorite shrimp. Yuck....how in the world do you mess up fried shrimp??? They were battered like Long Johns, overly done. Not the old batter that was light and seasoned just enough. Plus, the batter and shrimp combo tasted mushy. My mashed potatoes were barely a scoop and had a few hard lumps. I was underwhelmed. The only saving grace was the Brownie Overboard dessert. It was so delicious and presented in a martini glass. It was absolutely delicious. The restroom was a mess....."Griselda" was in there hiding....pretending to be cleaning. Dinner was 63 bucks for two including a Sprite. I went for Endless Shrimp extravaganza on September 2017, and was all great - service, food, and price - hence, 4 stars. Our server understood that we were there (at 4PM on a Friday) for the true nature of Endless Shrimp - eat a lot, and avoid spending 3+ hours in the restaurant. Every 5-10 min she would check on our table and get the additional requests - more shrimp? yes, please - the orders would arrive 3-5 min later, and there was never a moment without at least 2 different kinds of shrimp on the table. The dishes were great, not only the focus seafood, but sides as well. I found the rice pilaf to be surprisingly tasty. Overall, I would recommend this location based on my "shrimpalooza"experience. Came here today with my sister. The food was pretty good. The restaurant was pretty empty so we were seated and served pretty quickly. I ordered wood-grilled lobster, shrimp, and salmon. My sides were broccoli and mashed potatoes and it also came with a caesar salad. And of course they're famous cheddar biscuits. Everything was delicious, I would say that the salmon was the best to me. It was very flavorful and not dry at all. The biscuits were so good I almost ate all of them myself. The caesar salad was very good and not that over seasoned caesor salad that you might get at other places. Overall it was a good experience. The servers were very polite and patient with us. We go Christmas shopping and end up at RL for a late dinner. Over the years (as they have moved Endless Shrimp to much earlier in the fall), we have changed this to be a date over all the shrimps. So once per year, we make the pilgrimage to Smyrna to get our shrimp on. We usually are seated in a quite booth because we go late. This time around we were seated by a huge table with 3 or 4 families and 7 kids - no joke. They were loud, rowdy and running around. We considered asking them to move us, but realized they had packed up food and our server even told us that they had paid the check before we had the chance to say anything. He knew. We ordered drinks and contemplated new items added to the ES menu and discussed our days. Our server came by to tell us about the new items and explain ES - we obliged. I wish I could remember his name as he did a very nice job for us all night. Oscar, maybe? Anyway, very quickly we had Cheddar Bay Biscuits at the table (2 times the number of guests at the table +1) and placed our orders. We decided to skip ordering any appetizers and get right to the main event. Our salads were delivered quickly and I appreciated that our food was not delivered immediately as well. Sometimes this location will just bombard you - this time, it was well paced. I ordered the shrimp scampi and hand battered, with asparagus to start. Everything was great, but was intrigues by the Parmesan Peppercorn (new flavor), so I ordered that as one of my refills. We both ordered the four course meal for 15.99 which came with a salad, soup, entree (a nice variety of choices) and an icecream brownie dessert. Overall the food was tasty. I ordered the clam chowder and cajun chicken alfredo pasta. Awesome choice! The clam chowder was hearty and tasted delicious. Who am I kidding? It was the best clam chowder I have ever had. As always the biscuits were moist and tasty. The cajun chicken pasta was really good, better than an Italian restaurant. Usually I love brownies but this one wasn't a hit. It was small, hard and not even warm. We did order some dacqs which were so delicious I drank it like water. One thing I have to say is parking is a pain and I am overall not happy with the combination lunches. If they offered like a pick 2/3 with scallops and crab etc that would be great. Endless Shrimp is the only reason I came. The service was kinda lousy at first but it improved towards the end. I have always been a fan of endless shrimp and this is the only time that I go to Red Lobster. The coconut shrimp is my favorite. The tereyaki grilled was very good.
